I don't know why CC creators are forcing people to use HQ CC textures (2048x4096)?? do you know how big those are? I make a lot of custom content, and before educating myself I said one time I was like, let me start using and creating HQ items, my output started tripling in size. I created two or three objects and in no time I was like over 8 GB of information just creating HQ textures. You guys are bloating the game for literally no reason.. for pretty screenshots? Cool.. go ahead and do that but you're bloating people's games for no reason literally. This game already requires over 150 gigabytes of free space on a computer. If you use HQ textures and continue adding CC to your game, you need probably over 350 GB of space..

When it comes to creating debug items, like I have a collection coming out that redoes all the frying pans and mixing bowls, those little textures are maybe 128x128, and I will double those to 256x256 and sharpen the image because those are tiny, but to start making and outputting textures that are 2048x4096, that bloats the game for absolutely no reason except to maybe get a pretty screenshot. But then you need probably well over 16 GB of RAM, a very expensive graphics card and over 350 GB of free space to run the Sims. And you're asking people and forcing people to do that with you when you put out CC that is " high quality ". Why? If you want to take pretty pictures in the game or do blender renders in super high quality, go for it to your heart's content. (and at this point you are forcing because 99% of CC creators don't give people the option to download regular textures anymore. Like it used to be a few years ago You could find people offering regular and HQ textures) Forcing people to download textures that are 2048x4096 is evilness, that's all I can call it because a lot of people don't have the wherewithal to know how to de-bloat their games, a lot of people don't create CC, and they're enlarging their files and games unwittingly not realizing that they're slowing down their computer, unnecessarily forcing their computer to work in overtime trying to process all these huge huge CC files. DX11 completely changed the game in my opinion and made it beautiful, DX11 helps your computer run your game a little more smoothly, while increasing the look of the game, almost providing its own g shade filter. And de-bulking the game by putting caps on texture sizes and you're still creating HQ? I have to speak out because I feel so bad for all the computers out there. You know how expensive it is? My dream is to build my own computer, but I haven't been able to because you need at least a good two grand to do that. And you're like at this point putting an imaginary weapon to people's heads and forcing them to download HQ content.. because every single day I see more and more creators switching to HQ because they want the "best rounded edges on their CC" or creating CC to be compared to the next creator because everybody is competing with each other, or they want the best looking CC for a screenshot, not realizing that going up in high qualities and going up in polygon count is excessive and pointless for little pixel people that you don't zoom in on for the most part unless you're taking extremely pretty screenshots.. You're getting sucked in by the beautiful pictures CC creators put on their posts and I get that way too, I will see something and get swept away in it's shock and beauty and I have to tell myself, 'Jessica you don't need that and it's too big of a object to put in your game!' Only a few people realize the importance of low quality, low polygon content and those are probably the biggest creators in the space like @imfromsixam , @peacemaker-ic and @syboubou , @aharris00britney, up-and-comer @valiasimsI , @felixandresims etc.. I know I'm missing people but It's just an example. I just can't stay quiet anymore.

I hope for goodness sake that the dab feature is only in tomarang and not all the other worlds because it’s so annoying and dumb to see sims doing it every 5 secs and we are years past that. Just how old are the sims team? How long has it been since they been outside the lab? No one is doing that anymore.

I hope soemone invents a mod to stop it because I can not deal

Nifty Knitting & Remembrance

*sigh* ... yes... I’ll be getting this pack and doing select recolors but like...ugh. I’m not burned out on recoloring,I still very much get enjoyment from doing it but I’m tired of doing it with packs that give us crap or an abundance on objects that I dont see myself using at all. I have little to no excitement when I do some of these items and I’m just honestly a sad panda right now. 

Does anyone else miss taking their sims to an Actual vacation attraction where we could go skiiing, snowboarding and play arcade games that gave actual tickets that we could spend on actual prizes??!!! Anyone else remember the ability to have prolonged fun with the Sims?!! And getting yelled at for staying up till sunrise on a school night from playing too much?!!! ANYONE?! *cries in sims 2 simlish*

What’s really sad is the fact that we as Sims 4 players are having meltdowns and/or freak-outs about FINALLY getting customizable stairs...

THIS SHIT SHOULD HAVE BEEN BASE GAME BITCHES! (EA not simmers)

I felt this same type of emotion when they finally gave us toddlers:

It only took them 5 years to give us something that should have been base. Shit, like somone, pour me a fuckin’ drink, cuz I can’t take this shit anymore without one in my hand.

We as players are now at an all-time low when we start crying over some motherfuckin’, what should have been, BASE GAME OBJECTS!!

I understand wanting to improve it, etc’, etc’, but that’s called patience and taking your time... instead they wanted to push out a half baked cake and tell you to eat it while you’re dribbling cake batter down your chin. (the release of “base game” s4)

I was both annoyed as fuck but happy! Seriously, wtf?! Has EA finally after 5 years of disappointing us got us to the point that we get elated over stairs? Really? Seriously?

Yes, I know the new customizable stairs are a free update, but that doesn’t make it any better. It should have been in the base game. YES NOW, IT BETTER BE FUCKIN’ FREE, but still... it should have already been apart of the game. 

Now watch spiral staircases take another 3 years....smh.

Weird rant cause I feel tired and pissed

A/N- I’ve been awake for 35 hours trying to help family, grammar is the least of my worries. I’m also very negative

I love the Sims 4- a lot actually, I love the CAS and- ...I actually don’t really like much now that I think about it. (whoops) I’m Non-Binary, which is totally cool and all I guess.. But this Sims 4 patch got me in a bit of a tizzy (Sims can stand up to take a piss that’s a plus)  I love that the Male and Female hairs (Or should I say Masculine and Feminine for the SJWs of the world) are universal; but the meshes don’t really match up with either/other. I could probably find a nicer and re-textured version of all the EA meshes with a bit more thought and detail on Tumblr or elsewhere. Also why doesn’t EA hire or partner with some CC makers? You’ve been in business since the late 90′s but STILL. STILL the outfits somewhat suck. (2009 regrets) Also, why the hell are the expansions 40$ why not 20$ - 30$ like Sims 3, I don’t have the money to buy a 40$ pack I’ll probably only use because I like a hairstyle or two or never use. No offence to anyone but I personally think Sims 4 was a let-down of sorts. There are so many aspects from the previous Sims games you could’ve taken (Color options, TODDLERS, terrain, CARS MAYBE IDK. NOT LIKE LIFE WOULD BE EASIER WITH CARS INSTEAD OF SIZING TOYS) But some, very few aspects I actually like.

CAS-

The fact there are themes and anything can become universal for outfits.         I do like how you can set the families, I don’t know why- I just do.                      Alien options- nvm I just want sKIN DETAILS FOR MY FUCKING ALIEN I HAVE CC IN THERE AND I CAN NEVER REMOVE THE RANDOMIZED DETAILS WTH EA plz change this it bugs the shit out of us simmers (I think)  

Gameplay-

I love the rooms and how you can type for items, that’s about it. I like the color and ‘friendly’ atmosphere it gives off but the cartoonish style kind of throws it off. Also I was hoping for some actual dinosaurs in Oasis Springs (Don’t ask)

Computers are funny

So funny. My 4 year old laptop overheats and sometimes shut off when I play TS4 on it. I can play every other game on it; but it has started to overheat by Dragon Age Inquisition as well. :( Not good. Well, I guess this means I'll move my CC and saves to my big computer. The big one. It's 7 years old. Oh well. 8D Stay safe, people!
