i know i just turned my revised manuscript into my agent last night and there’s no way they’ve read it yet, but hear me out: what if magically they DID read it already
Spitfire gives me some Galvatron vibes (complimentary). Actually, the Chaos Terrans in general kind of remind me of Unicronian characters. I really like both Spitfire and Aftermath—they've barely been in the show so far but they have so much depth already? I like how Aftermath has already developed into a perceptive and intelligent loner and Spitfire is ultra-competitive and jealous. The show was really successful in showing how these two are inversions of Twitch and Jawbreaker, too. I can feel Spitfire trying to perform ~machinations~ not realizing that despite her abilities she is a literal child, a tiny fish in a pond full of giant ones. Only on episode 7 but I can tell Starscream's going to end up teaching her that lesson in some horrible way.
I feel like I've seen people suggest that the show is implying the Chaos Terrans are evil at heart (spark?) but I'm not seeing that so far, they clearly seem to be portrayed as sympathetic from what I've seen. It sucked to see the Maltos not handle their existence all that well after what Aftermath did to sabotage them, but I swear that before this I saw people complaining that the Maltos didn't have enough flaws! They have to make some mistakes if there's going to be a story! And the show wouldn't be stressing so many times that Spitfire and Aftermath "didn't choose to exist" and so on and be showing this much of their interiority if it was portraying them as flatly evil.
