How to get Atlas and Kerfuffle!

Kerfuffle the Cat: in the apple grove (x271 y227)

You Need! - Tiny Western Vest (Found at the end of the benches at the ranch) - A lost horse to be following you - x80 Summer Tokens - x300 Gold Nuggets - x1 Hay Lure

Atlas the Dog: in the bear cave (x339 y233)

You Need! - Tiny Renegade Mask (Found in a dead bush behind the Renegades camp) - Need to chase away/spray all the bears in the cave - x80 Summer Tokens - x300 Gold Nuggets - x1 Beast Repellant

Since the information in the article is conflicting, here’s some facts and tips about Camp Western!

1. You won’t loose your gold nuggets when caught by an animal, even though the article claims you will.

2. Lures, repellents and keys can be found in the wild as well! They’re a bit rarer though.

3. There are four horses each day, I don’t know why they say five later in the article.

4. The manure does seem to work as a repellent, but it doesn’t work very long, so be careful!

5. The shovel for today’s quest can be found in one of the stables, unlike an unrelated random event will claim.

6. You can get more than 10 summer tokens with gold nuggets a day, again I don’t know why the article claims you can’t. Each of those trades can only be made once a day though.

7. The article mentions items I’m not aware of being in the game yet, they might appear in the upcoming weeks of the Camp (chicken pets fall under this).

8. Don’t forget to activate the quest with Scott!

9. Try to keep a few repellents on you just in case.

10. The main roads are generally safe to travel, as is the sheep pit! There is a safe path to get to the rangers station in Firgrove close to the gates of Firgrove that won’t lead you past any wolves. (When coming out of the village, go left and keep walking straight ahead until you find the path to your left.) It’s used in one of the races too).

11. Mary’s lost animals will give you summer coins for the duration of this festival!

All I'm saying is the reward for twelve days' worth of chest-hunting and weathering the local wildlife probably should have been a little bit more than one bandanna. 😅

It was also just cute of Scott to call the person who's been a vagrant and living in the wilderness and abandoned buildings for years "soft" and "used to cushy ranch life and indoor plumbing". Don't go near that neigh-haw, man. Lailo is ready to take names.

The pain of wanting to play the new sso update but not being able to

Alright I haven't played the update yet but I'll say it anyways: I don't like the idea of those wild animals randomly chasing you. During halloween you can choose whether to engage with the mechanic but in this case you can't and quite frankly I don't think my mental health can handle the genuine fear I feel each time my character is chased by something (I start hyperventilating, I can hear my heart beating,  genuine panic for at least a minute after the chase has ended, usually even longer).

I know there are sprays and such, but i don't feel like this should be something you should have to opt out of with detriment to other things to do in the event. 

This is not the Halloween event, where scary things are expected, and even the Halloween event allows you to opt-in instead of forcing it on you.
