…no he didn’t? Did we read the same books? Chaol didn’t talk to Dorian for almost the entirety of Heir of Fire because he didn’t know how to feel about Dorian having magic. Chaol says to Dorian that he wishes things where different and Dorian didn’t have magic in the first place. Chaol was not instantly in favor of Dorians magic and opposed to Aelins. And he comes to accept both of them having magic, but of course hes going to accept his lifelong friend who helped him escape his abusive household sooner them hes going to accept his ex-lover who tried to kill him and who hes seen enjoy taking a life.

Its really not that hard to grasp y’all just like looking for any reason to bash Chaol.

Feyre not knowing how to read… doesn’t make sense?

she said she wasnt taught to read, and other social related things because she was too young when they lost their fortune. However she says she was 8 when their mother died, and they lost their fortune soon after.

Now theres no certainty over what historical era fits the mortal lands best, which makes it harder to base at what age you learned to read but clearly women were taught (her sisters learned) but at what age? I learned to read at around 4, half the age of feyre. And historically boys were taught around the same age too (I used english Tudor era because i felt it fit the description best but if theres another lemme know) so feyre not knowing how to read because of her age doesn’t make sense

Now this could have been easily solved by her having a learning disability like dyslexia, didn’t have to be by name but make it clear she struggles because of reasons outside her control. Otherwise her not being able to read or write doesn’t make sense. Which is a common issue found in sjms books sadly, giving characters a trait or issue that makes no sense. sigh

edit: yes she was neglected, that kind of explains it but it makes me question why? i genuinely cant remember if its explained or not WHY her parents didnt gaf (which also makes her strange loyalty to her father confusing?) Maybe its just because but thats such a unfulfilling answer. Yes its common in real life for that, I can’t suspend my belief for this one. Just because doesn’t cut it for fantasy fiction books, non-fic and contemporary sure but in fantasy it feels cheap

Anyway crisis averted, she probably just got caught pretending to be an Amish woman by someone she knew so she made up this whole dramatic back story as to why she was leaving, and made tens of thousands of people worry about her safety........I can't 😭😭 this video is only an hour old so not many ppl have seen it yet, she's going to get ripped apart

Look I have a lot to say about the way Rhysand treats Nesta but I think he is judged too harshly for what happened UTM. “He let an innocent girl die!” Yes, what did you think he meant when he said he had to do atrocious things to keep himself and his court safe? Things that still give him nightmares, make him sick? He’s shown significant remorse for what he had to do. At no point does he deny that he chose himself and his family over everyone else. Rhys took Claire’s pain away. What was he supposed to do? Give up his 50 year cover, his life and his family to save her? Be real
