Steddie brainrot continues to worsen to a concerning degree but here's a crack idea that is absolutely sending me:

Famous Spicy Six in which Jonathon is a director who decides to work on a passion project: a Scooby-Doo movie. His ideal cast is as follows:

Nancy Wheeler (investigative journalist with a few special appearances on crime dramas) as Daphne Blake

Argyle (an actor with a habit of playing small parts; he acts only because he thinks it's fun, so he's not concerned with significant roles) as Shaggy Rogers

Robin Buckley (a well-known voice actor who is more well-known for her social media posts and clap-backs) as Velma Dinkley

Steve Harrington (basketball star who is also more well-known for his social media clap-backs and for being Corroded Coffin's number one fan) as Fred Jones

Eddie Munson (frontman for Corroded Coffin, an insanely popular metal/punk/rock band and "infamous" for unashamedly posting Steve Harrington thirst tweets) as the voice of Scooby-Doo

Corroded Coffin is also creating an entirely new, original soundtrack for the movie

And because I think it's funnier this way, this is also an AU where the Upside Down still happened, so Jonathon just calls his friends up and is like "Okay, so hear me out"

The absolute insanity that breaks out when both the movie and cast are announced because nobody can figure out how Jonathon managed to convince all these powerhouses to join his movie.

The further screaming online after one of the movie promo interviews where a reporter asks how they all agreed to the movie and Nancy hits them with, "Well, Jonathon asked, and he never asks for anything."

Which leads to the discovery that they all knew each other in high school, and the reporter jokingly asks if that means they've all dated each other, too, which leads to Eddie jumping in with absolute delight like, "Well, that's a funny story, there. See, Stevie here dated Nancy, who then dated Jonathon when they broke up, who then dated Argyle after they broke up. And I thought Stevie and Robin were dating, so I was very confused when I saw Robin and Nancy kissing. But then I found out that Robin was a true-blue lesbian, which meant Stevie here was open for the taking, and we've been banging ever since."

and Steve is just sitting there, head in his hands while Robin cackles and decides to tell the reporter all about Steve's "fuck I have a crush on Eddie" crisis

This interview, of course, leads to even more freaking out online and comments like "I know I asked for poly Scooby gang, but this is ridiculous," and "I can't believe that in this, the year of our lord 20xx, ScoobyXFreddy became a canon ship," and "if I had a nickel for every romantic relationship the Scooby gang actors have had with each other, I'd have five nickels, which is way more than any of us fucking expected to have," and "suddenly Eddie Munson's thirst tweets make a lot more sense, but can we talk about Steve Harrington's CC tweets now," and "everyone say thank you to Eddie Munson for revealing that mess of a relationship map," and "finally, the canon lesbian velma and daphne we deserve"

The movie is a box office hit, btw, and bloopers from filming roll with the credits, among which is Eddie Munson making Steve Harrington lose his shit laughing on set while dressed in a Scooby Doo onesie and singing Corroded Coffin songs with his Scooby Voice

anyway scooby doo story bc it has been rotting in my brain for months

so basically the mystery inc gang are in high school and have known each other since elementary school. they’re really good friends, but don’t exactly run in the same social circles bc its high school. fred’s a cheerleader, daphne is on the football team, velma is a nerd, and shaggys a stoner (scoobys like shaggys service dog for his allergies. he can’t talk but shaggy talks for him?? think of it like kristoff and sven). they hang out a lot on weekends and once a week after school for their mystery book club (they all bonded over mystery books bc they all have mystery-related special interests bc they’re all autistic). shaggy and velma are step siblings btw, their parents married when they were 7 and 6 respectively. anyway the whole catalyst for the story is velma’s girlfriend gets kidnapped right before their anniversary and the police arent really doing anything bc homophobia. obviously this won’t stand bc the entire mystery inc is queer in some regard and even if they weren’t, that’s their besties girlfriend??? so they are solving the mystery while also solving some life problems.

shaggy and fred are pining for each other and velma and daphne are so done with both of them, since they hear both sides

daphne will tackle a ghost at one point if i actually write this story. that is a promise.

velma is a teachers favorite, and gets away with a shit ton of stuff bc of it

velma and fred have hair dying parties (velma dyes her hair red, fred bleaches his)

velma’s girlfriend is the keyboadist in hex girls (they’re not famous in this au they’re just a local indie girl band)

OKAY LETS GO. i talk a bit abt mental health and depression in the first one btw so if u dont want to hear abt that i beg u scroll.

one — what inspired you to write the fic this way?

god. i mean. the actual answer is that i am severely mentally ill. and like kind of in a funny haha way but kind of actually also and im not medicated for adhd or depression at the moment either. it was basically a combination of not being able to get danganronpa out of my actual head, like, seriously this is the longest hyperfixation i have ever had to the point where im considering it just a special interest instead. like, reader insert and escapism has always been my way of interacting with media i was a fan of, since i was like SIX i was imagining myself into winx club and scooby doo and it literally has just never changed. PLUS i thought it would be a good way to explore a lot of the characters i wasn't familiar with, like kirumi, tenko, and kokichi himself. and then another big part of it was i just. wanted a story where someone like me got to go on the journey i wanted to go on, the one i am currently going on. like, the main theme of wanting to live and realising your life has value didn't come from nowhere, it's stuff that i need to hear and learn for myself. and honestly it has helped, a lot, so yk sometimes therapy can be writing a 300k danganronpa reader insert fanfic. sorry this was probably a bit of a deeper answer than u were expecting but it is the simple truth.

five — what part was the hardest to write?

it shouldn't come as a surprise, but definitely chapter three. all of that had me pulling my actual hair out trying to make everything connect and make sense and even as i was writing the trial i was like god. i've forgotten something. this is paced awfully. i've created a plot hole. everyone's going to hate it. the first trial and making the reader look super guilty for rantaro's murder was also super difficult, probably just because it was the first time i did it and didn't really know how to lay all the groundwork yet; i vividly remember having to write the trial chapter and the investigation chapters alongside each other so i could keep the truth bullets and the testimoniest concurrent and consistent. like, i would figure out something that had to be brought up during the trial and immediately go and write it in the investigation, and keep going. it was pretty exhausting.

ten — why did you choose this pairing for this particular story?

it's kinda interesting actually. the story didn't start out with the vision of, i want to do a kokichi/reader. actually right up until i published it was like, okay. i want there to be a romantic interest, but i also do want people to like. read it. so i should do one of the more popular characters, which left me with kaito, shuichi and kokichi. i eliminated kaito kinda early on because i wanted the love interest to coincide with reader's journey on learning to want to live, and i thought the storyline would be too repetetive of what kaito did for shuichi and maki. so i was flipping between shuichi and kokichi right up until i published the first chapter. weirdly, i think shuichi might have been a more conventionally suited love interest to the reader's journey, as he goes on a pretty similar one himself. in the end, though, that's exactly why i went with kokichi, for the contrast and the unconventionality of it. i thought it would be more of a challenge. it would definitely be nice to read about shuichi and reader growing and healing together but, like, i saw the potential for a much more complex story and themes with kokichi, ones that i was more interested in exploring.

So now I'm in a situationship i guess? I'm like not good with military terms so I'm just gonna call this a military school even though this brings up images of like Scooby Doo and the Ghoul School or places you would send your unruly tween to in early 2000's Disney era, but it's just a college that specializes in the military.

Anyways, with that probably unnecessary description out of the way, I'm in a situationship with someone that's in their senior year of military school. It's weird because we've been talking for maybe a year and a half and we also went to high school together but never affiliated with each other. It's mostly been sexual and the times we aren't it's usually just fluff conversation. Nothing really that interesting besides calling each other pet names at the end of every other sentence. I have no idea where in the hell this is going and have no idea what to do. He keeps telling me that once he gets out of school we can be in a relationship. He's out btw, nothing in regards to being in the closet, just wanting to get done with school and whatnot which i totally get, plus he was in his hoe phase (not derogatory) when we started talking and maybe still kinda is even though he hasn't done anything.

And it's like, i don't have anything else going on, and with my job and everything i have no energy to actually date around or whatever so while "waiting until such and such" is usually a red flag, with this i don't feel uncomfortable doing that because it's not like i have anything else going on, but it's also weird because what if something else does happen to come along?

I did have the DTR talk where i blatantly asked him "Would you actually date me when you get out of school?" and he did say yes. But then also is he actually going to uphold that?

It also doesn't help that this dude is really conventionally attractive, and, while I'm by no means saying I'm ugly, I'm by no means on his level in regards to society's dumbass standards. That being said, i do believe that people can be attracted to whoever regardless of physical appearance, but it's so hard to get those "they're so out of my league" thoughts out of my head because he isn't, but then again he is, but he's not.

So in general, i still have no idea what's happening with this situationship but i have nothing else going on so why not? This is what I was talking about in my last post about how I'm always riding the wind and ready to eject myself at any off-putting sign at a whim. This is probably telling me off the bat that i shouldn't be dating at all, but oh well.

Because I just saw her kissing this guy in the campus parking lot next to what I assume was his car. Cas: Uh yeah, are you sure it's Tessa? Gabriel: Hold on a sec. Gabriel: Yes, I just walked over and said "Hi Tessa, do you remember me Cas's brother?", and she responded "Oh yeah, hi Gabriel, how is Cas doing?" Cas: That does sound like something she would say. Gabriel: I asked her to introduce me to her friend, and she said his name was Dean Winchester. Cas: what do you want me to do with that name? Gabriel: Hell if I know, I guess fight for fair Tessa's honor? Cas: I'm sure I won't do that, but thanks for letting me know Gabriel.

Cas: That sounds almost spiritual. Tessa: Spiritual is a good way to describe it. Also, Dean does tend to be all highs and lows, like he either loves something or he hates it. “10 Movies to Describe Me” tag

Hey, as I ever said, I LOVE cinema and going to the movies, watching documentaries, enjoying life by studying every nuance present on the 7th art.

Along life we have contact with a bunch of movies and references that affect our personalities, view of world, and even how we act towards some situations. Cinema is a powerful way of art, possibly influencing.

Everyone has a list of movies which influenced our personal growth. This list is all about it: 10 Movies you can use to describe me.

1 - Spirited Away

Well, I think Spirited Away was my first contact with cinematography eastern culture and made me go further in searching for more. I was 5 or 6 when I watched and fell in love with it.

Nowadays I know how to respect different cultures, have a deep interest in stories and mythologies from other countries. Thank you Studios Ghibli!

Influenced personality: Love for mythology and cultures.

2 - The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert

I LOVE drag queens and everything related to that subculture. I remember watching that movie as a kid, after midnight and hiding from my parents, which advised me to sleep because I had school the next morning.

Everything seemed so colourful and amazing, almost magical. A explosion of music and dresses, high heels, makeup, big wigs and dancing.

While growing up it influenced my choices on sports, acceptance, music, and love for drag culture.

RuPaul's Drag Race is part of my love for drag queens, but it wasn't the first reference. Btw, support your local queens and art.

Influenced personality: Dancing skills, LGBT acceptance (when it comes to myself, I have nothing to do with someone else's sexuality), love for drag culture and pop music.

3 - Blackfish

Oh ma'am, now we got to a very rough part of my personality: my HATE and INDIGNATION over zoos and aquariums.

I don't like zoos, not at all. Watching animals caged in small spaces and sad, oh boy, it makes me want to invade the whole place with a hammer and set them free.

Before watching Blackfish I didn't quite realize how bad everything was for fishes in Aquariums as well. Now, I want to start petitions against Sea World and Aquário de São Paulo.

I love animals, WAY MORE than I enjoy being around humans, so knowing how suffering is their life inside small places makes me want to cage humans and let them walk freely.

4 - Inglorious Basterds

Well, Inglorious Basterds is a very historically inaccurate movie, but I love it with all my stone cold heart. There are so many catchphrases and iconic moments.

I just love that movie. Nothing really special or meaningful.

5 - The Perks of Being a Wallflower

I was a very angst teenage and depressed as well, not counting anxiety on the mix. When I was 13 The Perks of Being a Wallflower aired on cinemas, and suddenly all my concerns about acting weird and not normal, compared to other girls around and whose studied with me, kind of seemed so pointless, mainly because Patrick, Charlie and Sam seemed to have so much fun, even acting quirckly and being classified as misfits.

My story has nothing to do with neither of characters, but I related a lot to them. So I think a big part of me came and flourished after watching The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

Also, it taught me the importance of speaking how you feel, therapy and trusting people enough to tell them when something wrong is going on.

The book is also one of my favourites, so I’m not impartial when it comes to The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Influenced personality: Not afraid of being myself, fight for human basic right of having mental health treatment guaranted and embracing my quirk personality.

6 - Erin Brockovich

Everyone who knows me well enough, is VERY aware of how independent and self-suficient I am. I hate depending on people for completing tasks or doing stuff, so most of the time I try to learn do things all by myself. It’s something natural inside of me, partly because I don’t get lonely, so the idea of depending on someone to anything makes me cringy.

Erin Brockovich is a movie I watched when I was 12 and the way Erin acted towards everyone, giving priority to her life and kids, not caring about everyone else’s opinion, it made me root to be independent like her (except for the kids and struggle to find a job). Erin exhales big dick energy, also the ending made me aplaud the movie (even tho I was alone at home watching it).

Influenced personality: I learnt how to classify my priorities, also improved my confidence on how I act, since Erin isn’t afraid of achieving things and proving her point, even if everyone else is against and won’t believe her.

7 - Lilo & Stitch

I think every single living human alive had at least one movie, you know this one movie, which you obsessed during your childhood. It doesn’t matter the genre, you watched it nonstop and pissed off your whole house with how repetitive movie marathons seemed to get with you, since everytime you picked whatever you were about to watch, your choice was quite predictable.

The movie I obsessed during my childhood was Lilo & Stitch (also Scooby Doo, where do you think I learned how to copy someone’s fingerprint by using pore cleanser and powder?).

As I mentioned a few items ago, I was a misfit and it played a big part on my life, being excluded from parties, playdates and games during P.E was common. It bothered me, but everything changed when we adopted my first dog, a dachshund called Xuxinha. We were Lilo & Stitch, whenever people treated me badly at school, I knew that she would be waiting for me at home.

Xuxinha passed away in 16th February 2017, and I still miss her.

  Influenced personality: It helped understand that people are douchebags, but as long as I have my dog/sister at home to hold and distract me, then nothing else matters. I learned the importance of surounding yourself with people who cares about your well-being, not caring specie, ethnicity, etc.

8 - Wonder

I don’t think this item requires a lot of text to describe why I felt influenced by it. Watch the movie and let’s sob together.

Influenced personality: Learned why appearance means nothing, and everyone goes through some struggle, so always be there for people who cares about you as much as you do about them. Also, always stand up against bullying, it may look like a joke now, but it can be the trigger for fatalities.

9 - Spotlight

I study Social Communication: Journalism, that’s what I’ve been wishing to do and want to be in the future. Even tho I decided what I wanted as my career YEARS before the release of Spotlight, it helped me define which kind of journalism I wanted to follow: Investigative.

It feels like I just made 4 out of 2+2, considering the fact that I love detective stories and would love to be a detective myself, but watching and acknowledging that all the investigation and  accusations were based on real facts, oh Ma’am, I can’t even describe the thrill consuming my mind only by imagining what it feels like to be involved journalistically in an investigation.

Influenced personality: My PASSION for investigative journalism.

10 - The Imitation Game

Last but not least: The Imitation Game.

Well, I constantly get annoyed on how biased our society is, for real, and whenever it happens I write poems and texts and protest, and piss off a bunch of people by only talking about a situation of inequality. When I first watched The Imitation Game the whole Alan Turing being castrated and killing himself because of homophobia and a VERY, I repeat, VERY narrow-minded society, it PISSED OFF THE HELL OUT OF ME, and I used this rage during a full semester of college paper works.

I named a group after Alan Turing and our semester project was basically about people being biased and killing genius because they cannot look further from their own bellybottoms. I won a “Oscar de Jornalismo”, which is the award that happens every six month in my college, prizing the best works from the semester.

It still makes me so angry to imagine what Alan Turing could had done if he lived for at least 20 more years.

Influenced personality: Well, it made me channel my rage about a situation and helped me to understand why we should discuss homophobia, racism, wars, etc, even harder now. Watching the world following the path for making the same mistakes all over again is frightening, and only history can help us.

MIRROR MAGIC (EQG SPECIAL 3/3) THOUGHTS

Once we found out what all the EQG Specials were going to be about there was no doubt it was the 3rd and final one that created the most buzz and just from two things alone:

The first of course being that at least for a brief time Sunset would return to Equestria. Something that the fandom has wanted dearly for a long time now, especially after hearing that was a subplot that was entirely cut out of Friendship Games. So many fans wanted to see the now reformed Sunset return to Equestria, and have a emotional reunion with Celestia. However though, it appears those who wanted the latter thing especially will still have to wait at least a little longer. Because the only reason Sunset really goes back is to get a new magic journal since the one she's had since Rainbow Rocks ran out of pages. Though upon going back to Equestria comes the 2nd major thing that caused buzz for this EQG special.

And that of course was the news that Starlight Glimmer would be involved in this one. And unlike the desperately wanted scene of Sunset returning to Equestria, the response to this was… mixed to say the least. As I said in the Royal Problem thoughts there was so much Starlight things going on at the time we found out about the synopsis of that episode cause we have already had 3 out of the first 4 Season 7 episodes star (no pun intended) Starlight in some way. And then we find out she's involved in one of the EQG Specials too. It isn't just the fact it seems everything seemed to have been involving Starlight all of a sudden, that was two things that fans have desperately wanted to see (A royal sister episode and Sunset returning to Equestria) that in their own minds felt like Starlight has been hijacked into. Again i take the more fair route that it's fine to include Starlight, but I do understand the frustration of those who aren't a fan of Starlight at all. When it comes to putting Starlight in those highly anticipated events it's like finally getting a long requested food only for the inside of it to have some undesired flavor that you were familiar with and didn't like before.

I guess another thing to consider that people would get worried of any canon implications of it if possible. But it's nothing that isn't that new to the EQG series. The main show is obviously canon to EQG but when you get to the other way around that's kind of sketchy. We never see the mirror, and none of the events of the EQG movies are ever referenced in the Main show. The closest we got are the Flash Sentry cameos during Season 4, but that isn't enough. It would of taken Twilight having some kind of reaction to seeing Pony flash for something like that. One situation where that could of happened was Three's a Crowd but he literally was just a guard there, Twilight completely ignores Flash in favor of being happy Cadence is there. I don't think Starlight's going to mention what happened in the EQG special either. So I think I can still stand on the belief that this is on purpose as to you can watch the show without ever seeing EQG so that EQG can be its own thing. Because the catch about making EQG really canon to the show you have to have the exposition in case people coming in watching haven't watched any of the movies. And after 4 movies, that'd be a lot of exposition to go over. I do not think Sunset will come into the main show as a result of this, so any reunion with Celestia would have to take place in an EQG involved thing. So if you're worried about Starlight's appearance at all confirming completely any canon status for EQG, based on past trends I don't think it's something to worry about much. Barring a Sunset appearance episode in the main show in a Season 7 or even Season 8 episode it shouldn't mean much.

But enough about a few things that we could of talked about just knowing the synopsis for the thing how did the episode itself hold up? Well I've already stated that Dance Magic was my favorite of the 3, and Movie Magic was my least. So this turned out to be the middle-of-the-road one. I think the plot alone makes it more interesting and certainly some nice things make it better then the Scooby-Doo tribute Movie Magic. But obviously some things went down that the most interesting episode synopsis wise couldn't beat an episode that was just a dance competition episode for me.

For what it's worth the scenes of Starlight and Sunset together play out fine. We get to have them forge a friendship of their own between 2 characters that are often compared to each other. I don't think it's entirely unfair to compare the two because there are glaring similarities. But the differences are there that some degree of interaction could be interesting. I just don't think if this one episode could really share everything of the potential between the two because of course this isn't the only big part of the episode.

Because besides Starlight and Sunset's plot we also have Juniper seeking revenge and using that mirror. One note before I get to the episode's events for this. As the one who runs the genie blogs it is a little amusing that the mirror Juniper uses happens to be activated whenever she says something after "I Wish". I could easily make some sort of connection with genie magic in my thing. Though I decided to opt out of doing episode responses to the EQG Specials. And a magic mirror is not really something to make me do an exception. Only thing is I think if it happened where Genie Sci-Twi happened. While they were in the mirror they could of wished from Genie Sci-Twi to get themselves out soon after and then stop Juniper from there.

But anyway as for Juniper's character, I'm not really too sure how to feel. She was a Scooby-doo antagonist in the previous special but the events of that episode motivates her to doing something on par with the other characters that had to been reformed in some fashion in the EQG series. Though Sunset and Starlight both started out as villains, while Sci-Twi was only a straight-up villain when she was taken over by Midnight Sparkle. Though I suppose she is similar to Starlight in the events she does are caused by a rather petty thing. Starlight's course towards evil started with Sun Burst moving away and getting his Cutie Mark. While with Juniper, they just stopped her dreams of being the actor to play Daring Do in what would be an in-universe live action adaptation. Though Juniper's motive mostly seems she wants to be famous by any fashion and there's more ways to become an actor then decided to try to go as the starring role in your favorite book series. Sure it hurts to miss out on the role you wanted, but if Juniper wanted to be a famous actor she needs to build herself up to the role. Take auditions for other things, practice acting. They's all still high school students right? Just get as far as you can in a Drama class and sign-up for all the school plays to show your stuff. It just seems to be particularly more petty of a motive then a lot of the rest. Perhaps even more petty then Starlight's reasoning because we can understand if she had been lonely ever since Sun Burst left how that could effect her (Though it's still be nice of the show to explain that eventually). Perhaps Juniper was particularly obsessive with wanting to be Daring Do since she was such a big fan of the series, but again the mirror didn't show she just wanted to be Daring Do. It looked like she just wanted to be famous. And there are other ways Juniper could of tried to get there. If it was specifically focused on Daring Do that much, I'd think the mirror would of shown her in a Daring Do costume.

As a result of all this, Mirror Magic is a bit of a mixed bag It has some fun parts with Starlight and Sunset. But this being put in the same 22 minute plot as Juniper's thing made it incredibly hard to balance. I think this needed a little more time then it got. I'm not going to say it deserved to be the plot of EQG5 or anything, I feel making it 66 minutes would be a little too long. But I do think if it had been made a two-parter it may have gotten a much better pace then it did. Have the first 22 minutes to perhaps give a little more time of Sunset visiting Equestria and of course Starlight seeing the EQG world. And maybe a little bit of Juniper here and there. But then upon the 2nd part you could have all that time to go more into Juniper's motivations to get a more clear understanding of her character.

All-in-all it's an alright episode as is. But it being only 22 minutes does give that rushed feeling, perhaps even more so compared to some of the other endings of EQG related things. I think it's something that could of benefited with a 2nd part. I don't know if any of the specials will have anything that bodes for anything coming up for EQG unless Starlight plays a part. But I'll still be awaiting where they go next, the specials didn't really solve the cliffhanger of EQG4's ending after all.

Anyway, I don't know when Season 7 comes back. But that'll be when I share more episode thoughts. BTW I have seen the Australian releases for both Episodes 12 and 13 of the season. But I'm going by the same rule with all the others and waiting for the official US release before giving the episode response and thoughts. But I will say that of course Episode 13 of the season was no doubt a fantastic episode and can't wait to give my thoughts about. If you've seen it already yourself I think you know why. Right now all we have right now is some Summer stuff, and for me in particular I'll be going to Trotcon this weekend. So that's sure to be exciting
