Basement flooring options

Hi - Thank you in advance for any help or suggestions you may have.

In Massachusetts - I have a finished basement that is one large room, with one smaller room and a bathroom. The bathroom has porcelain tile that kind of looks like hard wood. I wish we did this to the entire basement when we refinished it.

The other two rooms are wall to wall carpet. We haven't really been using the basement that much - the carpet is gross. When it rains - worms come up through the carpet. Plus about 8 years of usage - kids and dogs.

I would like for us to start using our basement more often. I would like to remove the carpet. In the small room I would like to start using a home gym and add floor tiles like these https://www.homedepot.com/b/Flooring-Gym-Flooring-Gym-Floor-Tiles/N-5yc1vZc4oe.

For the remaining basement - I would like to replace the carpet with something practical, cost effective and aesthetically pleasing. The thing is - I think I need to keep access to the house's sewer line? So many questions. I'm a single mother and love a challenge - but I am also realistic about my skills and lack of skills.

I'm thinking I can remove the current carpet?

Then I'm wondering how I should go about getting a new floor. And what flooring options can accommodate the sewer drain and drain by the back door? And what other things should I take into consideration that I am not thinking of? And what is a reasonable budget for installing engineered hard wood if that would be a good option.
