Ok small update because i decided to check: In chapter 4 it is actually still called IMAGE_FRIEND in the mike minigame

In the files the final boss of the sword route bunker minigame is called the shadow mantle which is strange considering its supposed to be carrying the mantle.

What i find more interesting however is the enemies it summons are simply called obj____ in the files the same goes for the IMAGE_FRIEND endogeny from the cutscene in the beginning

Hmmmm…

So despite Deltarune having seven chapters…

Seam seems to say we only have six Shadow Bosses to get through.

(Comment made after defeating the Roaring Knight, the third Shadow Crystal Boss)

It also seems that the more Shadow Bosses we defeat, Seam is gradually letting go of their hopeless and defeatist worldview and gains more and more faith in Kris' chances of success, and maybe in the value of proactivity and challenging fate in general...

And then also this still-unavailable item...

… I think Chapter 7’s Secret Boss, the final boss of the Shadow Crystal Route might just end up being a battle against Seam.

Drew a Delltarune OC, this is what Ramb would have looked like unde the influence of the shadow mantle bearer. Or as im just calling him now, ERAM-B Too Bad Ramb didnt become a hidden boss, it would have been so cool fighting him and recruiting him

The secret boss in Chapter 4 might be my favorite moment in the whole game (so far). Gerson and Susie have a really nice dynamic and I loved how this fight foreshadowed everything while also helping her find her own path and genuinely encouraging her to keep honing her abilities and spellcasting. It was a much-needed breather to have just a friendly sparring match amidst the world-ending stakes the rest of the chapter. Thank you Toby Fox!

Heres 3 crack theories on who the egg/forgotten man is: 1. Fandom Gaster The fact hes "forgotten" and seemingly incapable of being remembered reminds me a lot of old fandom gaster being forgotten after his accident in comics and such. possibly a piece of gaster 2. The vessel Not much evidence other than seemingly knowing our worlds history in chapter 3. Maybe before the connection with it was cut they gained some of our worlds history knowledge but they think its a story as things like dinosaurs still exists i assume refering to monsters that are similar to dinosaurs. 3. Previous player Same evidence as the vessel but they got creepypasted directly into deltarune

It is probably not any of these things but idk these are cool ideas. Its probably IMAGE_FRIEND. Or Papyrus. Idk why but it being papyrus has a good amount of evidence for it. Kinda.
