reminder for those of you who are new or haven't been following my lil life updates-
my husband and i live in a house with 4 other ppl, 1 of which owns the house, none of which help with the cleaning or upkeep. the owner is also friends with my husband and has become dependent on us doing prettymuch everything (he is functioning and capable, but also so alcoholic that he is... incapable.), and to pay my husband and i back for everything we have done and been doing, he is going to have my husband sign to own half of the property we move to as a result of this current house's sale.
my husband and i have had plans for a long time to build a homestead and food forest- a home base to come back to from our default nomadic lifestyle and to have food secutiry.
in order for our future to be secured and to even really begin, we need this house to sell.
but also this house is in a rich neighborhood and this house was built in the 50s so it's one of the oldest, needs some repairs, and doesn't look as fancy as the other houses. one of the rich people who came to our house for a showing, put in their comments that our yard was a "mess".
our yard back yard is mostly grass, we have some large empty and weed overgrown pots, and the perimeter along the fence is being retaken by the lawn and natural plants from the area, as it used to just be a perimeter of mulch and nothing else growing.
we intended to live here longer and do more food growing projects in the yard but happen to be moving so we had landscapers come and clean it all up at least once. it was a month or so AFTER the landscapers came, that one of these rich snobs said our yard was a mess.
what fucking mess? you gotta mean that it doesn't look picture-rich-person-perfect or some shit because i don't fucking know what the hell else they could mean. there is no trash. no dogshit. all the yard stuff is put away. there's no clutter. what the fuck did they mean?!
was it the chicken run? were you icked out by seeing these little poor people chickens with their little poor people tryna-feed-themselves-without-having-to-buy-everything lifestyle? if that's the case then they are just fucking stupid and i hate rich people. -_-
