BACKGROUND

TW: death mentions They grew up on a family farm in Briar Ridge. Their dad is a sweet, loving and caring dad who has been a farmer his entire life. Your character was born first, then came their brother a year or two later, and then Leyla. Their mom passed away when Leyla was four years old (about 30 years ago) unexpectedly, so their dad raised them. Your character would have more memories of their mom given he is the eldest. 

Their middle brother enlisted in the army as soon as he was able, and Leyla left town when she was 18 to study in New York. Your character was their dad's right hand man, basically second in charge on the farm and running things just as well, if not better, than their dad. Their brother passed away almost 10 years ago in a car accident. 

Whether your character wants to continue running the farm or not is entirely up to you, but I envision them as the one running things there. Your character and Leyla often butt heads, but everyone always says it's because their personalities are so similar — they know what they want, and they work freakin' hard to get it. They're also a little stubborn and set in their ways. Their middle brother was the glue - the calm one.

Your character came from a good family and was the chosen golden boy of the family. Think heavily involved in the community, sports, and the coven. 

They probably would have met during school by sharing a class or being in the same grade, but Poppy never would have noticed them until one day at school maybe they caught her smoking or skipping class.

Being teenagers they were intrigued by Poppy and it can be for the simple fact she was a rebel/or they thought they could fix her. Everyone around them probably advised to stay away from her siting she was trouble. 

They obviously didn’t stay away from her and became entangled with her to say the least. Things went really well between the two to the point they thought they could have something serious with her and gave up a good scholarship. Poppy just ended up leaving town without even telling them. 

I can see her leaving without telling them screwing them and they spiraled for a bit falling into the habits that Poppy taught them. 

Maybe they ended up leaving town for a while cause they needed a break from the town/went away to school. Only to return recently after the hunter attacks started/or for another reason of your choice so that the two haven’t crossed paths since Poppy has been back in town the last few years. 

Which Poppy is now the supreme of the coven and died back in July 2023 only to be resurrected. If they know about it that’s up to you.
