Cesar gently squeezed Jonah’s hand, quietly reminding him to breathe.

They’d just saved the other man from a run down cabin in Mandela woods, him having been kidnapped in 1998. The captor was dead now, beaten to an unrecognizable mess on the floor by an enraged Seth. Cesar couldn’t blame him.

Now that they’d gotten Jonah back to base, however, Sarah convinced the eldest to take a shower and change, citing that the blood splattered all over him could potentially make Jonah have a panic.

Though, as Cesar's hand was harshly squeezed in return with a panicked wheeze, he wished Sarah had waited until Jonah had fallen asleep.

The minute Seth had gone out of sight, Jonah began to panic, breathing harshly and scratching at his arms until they bled. Cesar and Sarah stopped him before he could do any more damage to himself, and were now waiting for Seth to come back.

Which thankfully wasn’t that long of a wait.

As the eldest exited the bathroom, Jonah immediately relaxed at the sight of him. Sarah stopped her pacing to approach Seth and lightly push him towards the other two boys on the couch.

Sighing lightheartedly, Seth obliged, sitting on Jonah’s other side and carefully grabbing his free hand.

Sniffling slightly, Jonah leaned onto Seth’s shoulder and closed his eyes, finally falling asleep.
