What is The True Meaning of Freedom?

My definition of freedom hasn't changed since I was 15. Right. And that's to be able to do what I want, when I want, with who I want, how I want. That's freedom. Money is great like, money's fantastic. I love mining, I love getting it, I love spending it. Anybody who says money's the root of all evil, never had any. Anybody that says money can't buy you happiness, doesn't know where to shop. Money is fantastic but for me, success is something greater than that. And I tell this to people oftentimes that time is the new luxury. That's why when people look at a man like Jeff Bezos, you look at a guy, the founder of Amazon, now one of the richest men in the world. 

People think oh man, he's got millions of dollars. He's going to be a trillionaire soon. That's crazy. I'm like, you're missing the point. This guy, forget about his personal wealth, he's made billions and billions more for other people. He's created more millionaires and billionaires than anybody else in the last 50 years by allowing people to sell products on the Amazon platform by creating the world's biggest e-commerce platform. 

So that's what people are that's what people are missing about people like that and I just am grateful if I can have a certain amount of impact that put a dent in the universe and get people out of the doldrum day-to-day tick-tock existences that people feel like they're stuck in. Most people feel like they're on a hamster wheel. They feel like, you know, they wake up, they go to work, they come home, the wife's there the kids are there, the maybe they have a little bit of time with the family, then they sleep. 

They wake up and they repeat it again. You ask them what's it all for man? What are you doing all this? For what's the point of it? And they ask people that, ask people about that and you'll see I mean I'm sure in your profession, you know, you're a coach. You must have this conversation a lot but when you talk to people about that kind of thing, you realize that people have never thought about it. They're just doing it because it's the thing to do. 

Somebody told them that's what you do and they do it and one day they wake up, they're 65, they're fat, the wife's fat, the kids are fat. Magic Sauce of Growth - Change With Some Discomfort

We all know that in order to succeed we need to change. Change is something that most people are afraid of. Why? Change involves danger. There's some element of danger to change. Think about it, the second you were born, you risked life and death to be born. That first journey through that tunnel is a perilous one. A lot of people don't make it. 

A lot of people don't make it just that first breath. Taking that first breath is one of the most dangerous things you will ever do and it doesn't change as you grow, as you expand on your journey as an entrepreneur, as a a father, a mother, as a a student of life, as of somebody who is introspective, somebody who is growing. You know, the growth doesn't come without change and change involves danger just the way it is. 

Every journey involves some level of danger and if you're not okay with that, then go back to your doldrum life and doldrum job and just accept it. Because it will never get better, but if you can just gather a little bit of courage, just a little bit just enough to dip your toes in the water and then your ankles and your knees and so forth and so on pretty soon you'll find that you can change and that's what needs to be done. Offer Authentic Brands To Connect With Your Customers

I was taught by my teacher that everything has a spirit, the very taoist principle. Like a rock has a spirit, right? It's hard, it's cold, it's unmovable, a stone you know, boulder. Steel has a spirit, right? It's hard, it's impenetrable. Products and brands and businesses and people also have a spirit. There's a feeling to them and if you don't shy away from what your nature is, if you don't shy away from what the nature of the product is what you're calling brand, then you come into a place where you're your true self. And if you can own that, if you can own that authenticity which is what we're talking about that truth, then you control the narrative in a way that nobody else can. Because there's a lot of out there and your product your service isn't going to be perfect for everybody. 

When people lose, is when they go oh, I've got this thing and people are like yeah, it's not really that thing. You're like oh okay, well, then it's this other thing and it's this other thing and they're like, you talking about it's none of those things, this is you're lying to me, right? And they bail but when you see somebody who's authentic like, I love personal development and the thing that I love most is when I see somebody who's authentic. It's just so refreshing you know. Sometimes you meet somebody, maybe they're an and they're like you know, they're a little rough around the edges. They curse. 

They do a few things that you might not personally do, but they're real. Yeah and it's like oh, thank God. Let's go sit down and have a drink. Let's have a coffee. Let me get to know you because I know that maybe you're not likable, maybe you're not affable but that man you're real. Yeah, you've come into who you are and there is power in that and similarly with products and brands. There's an intuitive realization of what the spirit of that thing is. What the spirit of that business is and if you can learn how to find that, the world's your oyster.

Money Success Principles #07 - Right Person For The Right Goal...

When you see people you can only help them past a certain level where they're at and if you pick people up too fast and too high, their little legs will be dangling and they will hate you for it and that happens a lot of the time when people help other people out and that person hasn't asked for it. That person is at a different level and they they can't comprehend that world that they've just been thrown into. So a lot of the times that's that's the reason why that happens.

I read books by Napoleon Hill, books by Og Mandino, all the great old-time writers of that time. I read Tony Robbins and Wayne Dyer and all the personal development guys. This other guy named Stuart Wilde. I read his books and I thought, man, you know what? I'm I'm gonna leave home and I left home. I left and I was sleeping at that time in abandoned buildings or buildings that were under construction. Los Angeles was in a huge building boom at that time.

So I realized that I could get into these buildings late at night when the brokers weren't in there, wake up in the morning before they got there and I'd be out and I'd be living in luxury houses, maybe there wasn't electricity or water in those days in some of the places because they weren't built yet but it was a safe place to lay my head and subsequent to that I realized that there was a big electronic music scene. I had found a mentor, a guy who had agreed to take me under his wing and he was very familiar with the electronic music scene, the rave scene, the dance scene. So I got involved in that. I started throwing some clubs to make a little bit of extra money. I was still sleeping wherever I could lay my head and I remember that I would sleep behind the speakers, most people don't know this. In front of speakers, very loud, very hard to sleep. Behind speakers, super quiet and very warm. So I would sleep behind the speakers. I would wake up the club, would still be going on and I started looking around thinking how is the money being made in these places to realize only that it was by the drug dealers.
