Ajit Pawar on fielding wife against cousin in Baramati polls

Underlining that politics shouldn't be allowed to enter homes, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has said he made a mistake by pitting his wife against his cousin Supriya Sule in the Baramati Lok Sabha polls.

In an interview with a Marathi news channel, Ajit Pawar, who is on a statewide 'Jan Samman Yatra', said the decision taken by the NCP parliamentary board was wrong.

"I love all my sisters. One shouldn't allow politics to enter homes. I made a mistake in fielding Sunetra against my sister. This shouldn't have happened. But the parliamentary board (of NCP) made a decision. Now I feel it was wrong," Ajit Pawar said.

In the Lok Sabha elections, Supriya Sule won for the fourth successive time from the Baramati seat by 1.5 lakh votes against Ajit Pawar's wife Sunetra. Sule is the daughter of NCP supremo Sharad Pawar. Sunetra Pawar was later elected to the Rajya Sabha.

Pawar, whose rebellion led to a split in the NCP, said Sharad Pawar was a senior leader and "head of their family" and he would not respond to any criticism made by his uncle.

In an interview with NDTV, Pawar distanced himself from the Congress's demand that the Adani JPC investigate the report by short-selling company Hindenburg. He said he disagreed with the Congress-led opposition's delaying of Parliament.

 “     “Out of proportion importance was given to the issue. The issues that were kept, who kept them? We had never heard of these people (Hindenburg) who gave the statement. What is the BACKGROUND?    When they raise issues that cause a ruckus across the country, the COST is borne by the country's economy. We cannot disregard these things. It seems this was targeted," Pawar said during the interview, which was aired on Friday.

On Saturday during the press conference, Pawar said there was a time when Tata-Birla's names were taken to CRITICISE the government but they had their due contributions to the development of the country. "At present, Ambani and Adanis names are taken to criticise the government. But there is a need to think about their CONTRIBUTION to the country as well," Pawar said. “

Further, Adani secured vast tracts of land for building the Mundra Port.    Gautam Adani received the land for Mundra Port in 4 parts, starting with the Chimanbhai Patel-led Congress government in Gujarat in March 1993. The Congress government had then granted Adani the land at a THROWAWAY price of just 10 paise per square meter.

MANY INDIAN Business men had started moving  their money OUTSIDE India, TO EVADE INCOME TAX - because of the laws made by UPA’s Finance Minister. The FM himself has been charged as using shell companies to legalise black money.

The 20,000 crores invested in Adani companies might have been the money moved out of India by Indian businessmen in the past.   If all the investors who want to Invest in ANY Indian company- have shifted their money to Mauritius ?   

How can Adani alone get pure white money for Investment? 

The WHOLE MONEY MARKET in India uses Mauritius route for investment. 

Previous government used shahid Balwa - with Dawood links as a friend/ investor for 2G project.

Purchase of Shares / investments in Public Limited Companies are done by companies owned by Indians in Mauritius.  Such foreign investments are done for many companies, not only Adani.

Adani companies net worth is about 100 Billion US$. 

Rs.20,000 crores invested by companies in Adani group recently, is a minuscule fraction of 100 billion worth of Adani company

Maharashtra Political landscape, From DY CM Fadnavis to NCP Chief Sharad Pawar

In a recent interview with a media house, Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis opened up about his relationship with CM Eknath Shinde and a lot more related to the game of power and tackling hate speech in Maharashtra. When asked about his government completing one year in power and him living to the promises he made, Fadnavis replied, “Everything cannot happen in one year but we’ve put all infrastructure projects on a fast track. For instance, we can use a major portion of the Coastal Road by the end of this year. The Trans-Harbour Link will also be functional. We will begin one part of Metro Line-3 this year and the next part by next year. The Navi Mumbai airport will also be operational next year.”

He named all the major achievements of the government of Maharashtra in one year, including the approval of 10 medical colleges and the last leg of the Samruddhi Mahamarg (Nagpur-Mumbai Expressway). “Only 100 km of the Samruddhi Mahamarg (Nagpur-Mumbai Expressway) is left to be constructed and it will be completed in the next six months. We have also approved the construction of 10 medical colleges in the state and every district will have a medical college. In collaboration with the Central government, we have started work to upgrade the rural health infrastructure.

The Maharashtra political scene has become very interesting lately with NCP chief Sharad Pawar jumping into the main game every now and then.

On Sunday, Pawar  BJP leader was unaware of past events and his judgment of Pawar sprang from sheer ignorance.

“When I formed the government in 1977, the BJP, in the form of Jan Sangh, was with me. Uttamrao Patil was the deputy chief minister. There was Advani (Hashu). The government formed was inclusive, taking everyone along. He (Fadnavis) must have been in primary school then and hence know nothing about it,” said Pawar while speaking with the press in Baramati.
