Shinde Government in Maharashtra may collapse in 6 months: Sharad Pawar!!!
Nationalist congress party chief Sharad Pawar this Sunday said that mid-term polls are likely in Maharashtra as a newly formed government led by rebel Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde may fall in the next six months. He made this statement when he was addressing NCP legislators and other leads of the party in Mumbai.
An NCP leader who attended this meeting quoted the sayings of Sharad Pawar “The newly formed government in Maharashtra may fall in the next six months, hence all should be ready for mid-term polls.”
The NCP leader also said that “Pawar said that many rebel legislators who are supporting Shinde are not happy with the current arrangement. Once the ministerial portfolios are distributed, their unrest will come out, which will ultimately result in the collapse of the government”.
Mr. Pawar also said that the failure of this experiment will lead to several rebel MLAs returning to their original parties. If we have merely six months in our hands, NCP legislators should spend more time in their respective assemble constituencies.
Meanwhile, this Thursday, Mr. Shinde was sworn in as the chief minister of Maharashtra following the collapse of the Shiv Sena-NCP-congress government, while senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis took oath as Mr. Shinde’s Deputy.
Around 40 sena MLAs led by Mr. Shinde rebelled against the party leadership, which eventually resulted in the collapse of the Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi government on Wednesday. And the newly formed government was of Eknath Shinde.
Meanwhile, Eknath Shinde took over as the 20th Chief minister of Maharashtra on 30th June after several twists and turns in a 10 days suspense period that marked another crisis in the state’s political arena. BJP leader and former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis took over the post of deputy.

Farmers’ protests more political in nature: Union minister VK Singh
Tumblr media
Union minitser VK Singh&nbsp | &nbspPhoto Credit score:&nbspPTI
Thanjavur (TN): Union Minister VK Singh on Sunday stated the continued protests by farmers in opposition to the three Central farm legal guidelines was “extra political” in nature and underlined the NDA authorities’s intent to make sure the welfare of the ryots.
Chatting with reporters right here forward of his interplay with farmers, the Minister of State for Highway Transport and Highways claimed that “precise farmers are very pleased with what has been completed in final six months.”
He sought to allay fears on Minimal Assist Value (MSP) and different points, saying MSP will stick with it whereas contract farming will solely profit the farmers.
“Lot of misconceptions are being given the place farmer challenge is worried. Farmers throughout India principally are comfortable, precise farmers are very pleased with what has been completed in final six months,” he stated.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ensured the profit goes to the farmers, Singh stated, including, “the current agitation really is extra political than about farmers.”
Farmers, primarily from Punjab and Haryana, have been protesting for the final 25 days outdoors Delhi in opposition to the just lately enacted three farm legal guidelines, with 5 rounds of talks with authorities thus far failing to interrupt the impasse.

He stated Modi has the “highest regard” for the farm sector and guaranteed the federal government was with the farmer and identified on the numerous schemes together with insurance coverage and soil card to learn them.
“The federal government desires the farmer, who feeds the nation, to really feel protected, to get the advantage of the federal government’s safety in order that his earnings may be doubled,” he stated.
“…the farmer should perceive that there are people who find themselves deceptive them and that’s the reason I’ve come right here to clarify to our farmers that issues are good, not as being given out by individuals,” he stated.
The legislations in query purpose at defending the farmer and considered one of them says the farmer is free to promote his produce anyplace he desires with “India being one market” for him, Singh stated.
“That is useful to the farmer since he can get higher value.. what occurs within the mandi is value is set by the middlemen, the fee brokers,” he stated.
The farmer has now been “free of this,” however some have been insisting “we wish the mandis.”
“Mandis are going go keep. No downside in that. A voice is raised on Minimal Assist Value. The invoice (Act) says minimal help value will keep,” Singh added.
“So this false impression that has been created within the minds of our farmers buddies must be taken away,” he stated.
On contract farming, he stated the federal government has ensured the farmer will get the profit regardless of the value fluctuation and is very able of benefit when the costs go up.

My govt stable, allies will contest polls together: Uddhav Thackeray
Tumblr media
MUMBAI: Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray on Friday said the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) allies will fight all elections, including the Brihanmumbai Municipal corporation (BMC) poll, together. Thackeray (60), who is heading the Shiv Sena-NCP- Congress alliance ministry, was speaking to select media at his official residence Varsha in south Mumbai, as the MVA regime completes a year in office on Saturday. “The MVA will fight all elections including the BMC poll (due in 2022) together,” Thackeray said, adding that he did not feel the need to react to speculation that the MVA partners will fight the polls separately. Asserting that his government is stable, Thackeray said the alliance partners are perceived to be ideologically different but the interests of the state and welfare of people binds the three parties together. “We were in an ideological alliance earlier but the very foundation of that ideology, (based on) trust and faith, was betrayed,” Thackeray said, alluding to the power his Shiv Sena party shared in the state with the BJP during 1995-1999 and again during 2014-19. Thackeray defended his party’s alliance with political rivals Congress and NCP to form government, saying Shiv Sena was in alliance with a partner (BJP) which had a dark mind. “You will now realise what we went through when we were in alliance with BJP. The pervert mind is now exposed,” he said, referring to BJP targeting his wife Rashmi in land deals and son Aaditya in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Thackeray said the most unforgettable moment last year was the “betrayal by a friend” of 25 to 30 years. “Perversion and being cultured are different. Pervert politics is being seen now,” he said, slamming the BJP. Shiv Sena had criticised BJP on policy matters and did not target family members, he said. On Hindutva, Thackeray said, “My definition of Hindutva hasn’t changed. It is cultured and not pervert like the BJP. Culture is very important in Hindutva.” “When we are with you (BJP), we are good. The land deals happened when you were in government,” Thackeray said, referring to BJP’s claim that Rashmi Thackeray had land deals with Anvay Naik, the architect who committed suicide in 2018. He said BJP leaders targeting him are all outsiders and do not belong to the ‘original’ BJP. “Is the BJP being run by outsiders now,” he asked. Asked about his national ambitions, Thackeray said the three-party alliance in Maharashtra against the BJP did send a message at national level. “I will keep walking. I took up this responsibility (chief minister’s post) out of anger over BJP’s betrayal. There is no point in keeping undue expectations. Let us see what happens,” he said. “He can keep dreaming. To dream is not a crime,” Thackeray said when asked about the claim by former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis that he would return to power. Thackeray also rubbished reports that the Sharad Pawar-led NCP may go with the BJP. “I am confident that NCP will stay in the MVA,” he added. He also made light of criticism that the MVA regime was “remote-controlled” by Pawar. “Whenever he (Pawar) meets me, he shares his experiences and nothing else,” Thackeray said. “I don’t sit with a slate and chalk when he comes to me,” he added. Thackeray said tackling the coronavirus pandemic in the early days of his tenure was a daunting and challenging task. “Though I lacked administrative skills, my political allies and bureaucracy worked in unison with me. We are the first state to have a task force and guidelines for Covid-19 treatment. Field hospitals in Mumbai were created in 17 days,” he said. Despite the coronavirus-induced lockdown, Maharashtra signed several MoUs for investment in the state, Thackeray said. “Around 60 to 70 per cent of MoUs worth Rs 17,000 crore were signed in June and are on path of implementation in terms of granting of permissions and land acquisition for the projects. MoUs worth Rs 35000 crore more were also signed recently,” he said.

Ajit approached us, Sharad Pawar hid half conversation he had with PM Modi, claims Devendra Fadnavis - mumbai news
Tumblr media
Former chief minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday said that Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar came to them “on his own” to join hands to form the government and that he had given them the impression that NCP chief Sharad Pawar was in the loop about the move. Fadnavis also said that the details about the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sharad Pawar were shared “conveniently” by the latter, but the remaining information about the same will be revealed at the appropriate time.In an interview to Marathi news channel Zee 24 Taas, Fadnavis said that Ajit Pawar told him that most NCP MLAs wanted to go with the BJP as their alliance with the Congress was not possible. “We did not try to poach MLAs or split any party for around a month after the results were announced until Ajit Pawar approached us. About a couple of days ahead of the swearing-in on November 23, Ajit Pawar came to us saying his entire party was ready to join hands with the BJP to form the government. He even made a few party MLAs to speak to me. He told us that Sharad Pawar was aware of the move. We knew it was a gamble, but a gamble is inevitable in politics, though it failed in this case,” he said.Fadnavis was sworn-in as the chief minister and Ajit Pawar the deputy chief minister on November 23, after the latter allegedly handed over a letter of support of 54 NCP MLAs to form the government. Both resigned within three days after they realised that the NCP MLAs were not with them as party president Sharad Pawar ensured that none of his legislators went with his nephew. He also compelled Ajit Pawar to return to the party. In a recent interview, Sharad Pawar had said that Narendra Modi gave an “offer” to his party to “work” with them, during their meeting on November 20, but he refused. “Whatever Pawar told the media was just a part of the conversation. He has hid half of the conservation between them. It would not be proper for me to disclose the details of the conversation between them, though I know it. However, it would be known to the public at the right time. I will speak about that at an appropriate time,” he said. The former chief minister also said that he was saddened that Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray did not take his calls and cut off the communication after the election results were announced, despite having shared a healthy relationship for the past five years. Uddhav set to take charge of Maharashtra with a deputy from NCP
Tumblr media
Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray will take oath as chief minister of Maharashtra on Thursday evening at the Shivaji Park here.
With the swearing-in of 59-year-old Thackeray, the state will have a chief minister from the Sena after 20 years.
The oath taking ceremony will be held at the sprawling Shivaji Park, where his father and Sena founder Bal Thackeray addressed his famous Dussehra rallies.
The last Sena man to occupy the chief minister's chair was Narayan Rane in 1999, after Manohar Joshi, who in 1995 became the first CM from the party.
The swearing-in ceremony follows days of dramatic political developments, which included a three-day government formed by an unexpected support from NCP leader Ajit Pawar, who has since returned to the Sharad Pawar-led party fold.
The Sena, along with the NCP and Congress constituted the 'Maha Vikas Aghadi' to form a non-BJP government in the state. Read More

Ensure PDP, NC, NCP won’t be part of NDA: Sena to PM Modi
Tumblr media
MUMBAI: Hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi for strongly rebutting those talking about the separation of Jammu and Kashmir from the country, the Shiv Sena Tuesday said he must commit that the PDP, NC and the NCP won’t be part of the NDA after elections even if it is short on numbers. The Sena, in an editorial in its mouthpiece Saamana, said while it is good that the prime minister has spoken against those attempting to divide the country, he needs to give people two assurances. “Tomorrow, whatever may be the case on the numbers required to form the government, there will be no relationship with those who talk of dividing the nation. And those who have ruined three generations of Kashmiris will not get a place in Modi’s cabinet or the NDA,” the Sena said. The Sena further said Modi’s stand against Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar, for “supporting” those who want to “divide” the nation, should remain the same even after polls. “Those dividing the country and those supporting them should not get a place in politics in future. If those supporting anti-nationals today sit with nationalists for political reasons, it will be an insult to our jawans,” the Sena said. The Sena said while National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah has spoken about Jammu and Kashmir having a separate PM, it will not be a reality even after 100 generations have passed. The Sena claimed Article 370 gives special privileges to the restive northern state, and the law of the country does not apply there, and therefore, there have been demands from many years to abolish the Constitutional privilege. The Uddhav Thackeray-led party sought to remind the BJP that Abdullah was a minister in Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s government and the NC was a part of the NDA, adding that his party’s policy towards Article 370 and 35 (A), both of which give special status to J-K, was age old. “Yet we keep kissing their furry caps to achieve the numbers in Parliament. This is nationalism of convenience,” it alleged. The Sena added that People’s Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti has a similar stand on the Constitutional provisions for Jammu and Kashmir and she has warned that the state will not remain with India if its special status is revoked. “Until yesterday, the same person was chief minister  with support of the BJP. Even her anti-national mindset isold. Yet, the BJP got friendly with them while we kept  opposing their alliance,” it said. It said both these leaders are today speaking against abolishing of Article 370 and 35 (A) while Prime Minister Narendra Modi is hitting back in his rallies. “Modi has spoken with grit – the way an Indian prime minister should have spoken. He has spoken about how three generations have been destroyed under Abdullah and Mufti’s regimes,” the party said. “Modi has also spoken about displacement of Kashmiri Pandits. However their ghar wapsi (return to roots) couldn’t happen in the last 5 years,” it said. (AGENCIES) Read the full article

Can’t say, replies Sharad Pawar on Ajit’s elevation as Deputy CM. Then, a hint - india news
Tumblr media
Nationalist Congress Party boss Sharad Pawar on Tuesday declined to spell out his stand on elevating his nephew Ajit Pawar as the next Deputy Chief Minister in the Uddhav Thackeray-led coalition.“I can’t say,” Sharad Pawar told news channel NDTV on Tuesday, refusing to respond to questions on Ajit Pawar’s possible role in the three-party coalition Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi. This decision, he said, would not be taken by an individual but in consultation with some senior party leaders. Sharad Pawar continued: “One thing is very much there. In the NCP, particularly the legislative party, sizeable members do associate with him. They may not have been happy with his decision to go with the BJP but have full respect for him”.Ajit Pawar had played a key role in the distribution of party tickets ahead of October’s state elections and has been widely perceived to be his uncle’s political heir. Ajit Pawar’s political capital, however, was expected to have depleted after he pulled off a coup to help the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Devendra Fadnavis become chief minister in a government that lasted a little less than 80 hours.Ajit Pawar, deputy chief minister in this short-lived government, returned to his uncle’s side within three days.NCP leaders have welcomed him warmly and signalled that Ajit Pawar’s clout in the party was intact. Sharad Pawar had attempted to reinforce this point.Several NCP leaders say they expect the party boss to accommodate Ajit Pawar in the government at a later date. In the power-sharing formula between the Sena, NCP and Congress, the deputy chief minister’s post was to go to Sharad Pawar’s party. But when Uddhav Thackeray took oath as chief minister last week, Ajit Pawar’s stunning crossover to Fadnavis’ camp was still fresh in public memory. Sharad Pawar also didn’t want to signal that dissidence was rewarded in the party. His nephew was kept out of Uddhav’s cabinet, Jayant Patil and Chaggan Bhubal were the NCP’s nominees for cabinet berths. That decision, Sharad Pawar said, was a signal.“When we took the decision to form the government, we gave a clear-cut indication, we sent a signal. We have selected our state party chief to lead our party in the cabinet. Jayant Patil and Chhagan Bhujbal. That in itself was an indication,” Pawar said in his second interview to a television channel this week.In both, Sharad Pawar has explained Ajit Pawar’s surprise move to team up with Fadnavis to a spat between Pawar and Congress leaders, insisted that Pawar had realised his mistake and stressed that Ajit Pawar won’t walk out of this partnership. Sharad Pawar has denied that Ajit Pawar’s support to Fadnavis had his support and claimed that he had an offer from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to team up with the BJP but turned it down.
