Sherlock S2 Screening (NYC)- Are You Interested?

Hello all~! 

I haven’t been on here in a while. School and life has gotten in the way mostly. However, I do have some free time now that things are dying down a bit (more like school is giving me some space to breath again lol). I’m not sure if you guys remember but I helped organize the Sherlock S1 Screening in NYC with SherlockNYC a year or so back.

Now I’m back again to ask who would be interested in another screening. There are no plans in the works yet, but I want to get a feel as to how many would be willing to go. I am asking this before I start to discuss and plan anything with SherlockNYC.

Answer back to this if you would be interested in the event so I can keep track of how many would like to go. The larger the response, the more likely this event will come true!

Hi everyone! 

Just wanted to pop in and thank you all for still following us. I'm preparing for my Christmas trip back home and super busy, but wanted to make sure I let you know that it is SO appreciated that we still have followers and you are all wonderful, amazing people.

At this time, SherlockNYC is being focused on by me alone; and currently, I am in need of focusing on health and personal issues, but have no fear! I'm thinking up new ideas for meet ups and going to be back on the social media front soon. Keeping up with my favorite podcasts, blogs and news releases for Sherlockian fun, and missing the action terribly! I'm definitely working on focusing on all the positives and good vibes out there! Looking forward to BSI weekend in January here in NYC and OF COURSE, series 3! I'm also really digging Elementary, and making my way through Series 1! Definitely been reading more Canon lately as well... and being inspired for fun times because of 'new' stories!

Other members of the team are currently needing to focus on other projects and personal matters; we hope to all be able to get together and work on new things soon! 

Also - I'll be tagging anything to do with footage from Series 3 as #spoilers just in case you lovies are avoiding any discussion / gifs / art, etc. I'll do my very best to keep those folks who want to be in the dark, safely there. Just viewed the mini-episode and I'm afraid I can't hold back my feels.

My health has been improving, and I hope to be active again once the holidays are over. If you'd like to help out, please send me an email at admin@sherlocknyc.com! From brainstorming to fund-raising ideas (reminder: we are non-profit and all events have historically been personally funded and reimbursed by ticket sales alone) or volunteering to help with social media or events, I'd love to have some help in getting back into the action!

A SHERLOCKIAN NY PUB... MASTERPOST?

Yeah that title is probably going to change...

So when I turned twenty one I noticed, in my drunken binge stupor, that there are quite a few bars in New York that are a bit Holmesian.

This is to help anyone who is willing to go all Gary King and do a Sherlock inspired Pub Crawl.

Doc Watsons - A bit frat-housey, but it's what one expects from a bar named after "Three-Continents Watson"

Baker Street - A Sherlock Holmes themed pub with a friendly atmosphere.  

The Irish Rogue - I remember going to a SherlockNYC Meet-up here and really enjoying the place. 

Reichenbach Hall - A place to drown in you Reichenbach Fall feels

Molly's - A Cozy little place with really, really big burgers. Holy shit. They're burgers are big.

Moran's - Moran's in Chelsea is not a pub, and seems more like the kind of place the Holmes family would frequent than Moran.

Schoolbred's - Speaking Of Holmeses, This pub has such a Holmesian feel to it, you'll feel like the consulting detective himself!

The Third Man - This is definitely the Kind of place Mycroft Holmes would frequent, I mean, look at the logo.  

The Way Station - And what fandom pub crawl would be complete without The Way station?

  This list will be updated if I find any more Sherlockian Type pubs. But hey, help out! Do you know of any pubs/bars/places in general that make you think Sherlock Holmes?
