I think if they ported more cosmetic packs to Steam DLC page and Epic Games too, they’d make more of a profit. That’s not saying to take the stuff off market for platinum or to increase the platinum amount, but to make it so people can just purchase things like deluxe skin packs for the equivalent amount of money as an easy way to go purchase it. Some people don’t like clicking on multiple stuff or reading too much so it would definitely earn some sales.

author’s note: this was inspired by a story I made with this character on c.ai…enjoy!
You recently got a job at a fish market to get some extra money since you don’t get paid enough from your first job. You worked for a lady called mrs Hye-jin who was really nice to you and absolutely adored you. Even if the job was not a nice one , mrs Hye-jin made it more enjoyable with her jokes and cheerful personality.
Her son , on the other side , is the absolute opposite. He is cold and often rude , especially with you. He finds your kind and cheerful personality annoying and always makes sure for you to know it how much he despises you.
You despise him too. You hate his cold gaze and how he never smiles. It pisses you off whenever he insults you but you’ve both gotten used to the bickering , it has become a routine.
Today you’re arguing because you tripped and accidentally spilled coffee all over his shirt. Even though his mom said that it’s okay because she has an extra shirt for Sang-woo at the back of the store , Sang-woo got irritated by your clumsiness.
—are you serious? This shirt was expensive and you ruined it because you don’t look where you’re going!
—I’ve already apologised a hundred times , why don’t you just forgive me and move on?! Besides , you make enough money to buy a new one and your mom will give you a new one , it’s not like you’ll go outside with the coffee stain on your shirt!
—but it’s still ruined , thanks to you! And I’m NOT spending my money on a new shirt , I’ve got other things to pay for. You should buy me a new one or at least give me the money to buy a new one!
—what?! Where’d I find the money to buy you a new one?! What am I an ATM?!
—I don’t see how that’s MY problem…
He says and walks away. You’re trying your best not to start screaming or start throwing things at him. His mom on the other side is loving the banter between you two. She always tells you that there’s definitely something behind it and that arguing is a way of bonding with someone and that it will turn into love and affection. You and Sang-woo get pissed off when she says that it will turn into love and affection. Whenever she says that , Sang-woo gets pissed off and tells her to stop and you’re gently trying to explain to her that you and her son will never be together. The only thing you feel about each other is hate. Nothing else.
Later that day , you’re in the storage room organising some stuff and you accidentally overhear a conversation between Sang-woo and mrs Hye-jin…
—come on , Sang-woo , just give the girl a chance! She’s kind , smart and positive , what else would you want?
—mom , you don’t understand. I don’t want to give this girl a chance! I find this “kindness” thing fake and her cheerful personality? Ugh it’s so annoying , she’s acting like everything’s sparkles and rainbows. Not to mention her clumsiness…she doesn’t even watch where she goes , how could I go on a date with her? She’ll embarrass me.
—what are you talking about , son?! Is that how I raised you?! Y/n is genetically a kind girl and maybe her cheerful personality would help you enjoy life more. As for her clumsiness, it was just one time , don’t make a big deal out of nothing. Give her a chance!
—no!
—please , son , all I’m asking for is to take her out one time! You never know what your relationship turn into!
—mom , I don’t wanna take her on a date and I believe neither does she want to go out with me , so it’s a no. Conversation over.
Sang-woo walks out of the store and his mom follows him outside , still trying to convince him to take you out. You chuckle behind the door. It reminds you of a mom trying to convince a kindergarten kid to eat its vegetables. But deep down you feel a pang of disappointment…why would he not wanna go on a date with you? You’re pretty , smart and kind. Besides , you’ve tried being nice to him a couple of times but he keeps being a jerk. “His loss” you think to yourself.
You come out of the storage room and you go behind the register , just in case a customer comes. Then , Sang-woo comes in sighing and his mom is behind him.
—come on! Tell her!
She whispers and pushes him near you. You’re trying to hold your laugh at the whole situation.
—hey Sang-woo , what happened?
You say in a slightly teasing tone. You know damn well that it gets under his skin when you tease him. He sighs again and looks down before speaking.
—let’s go out tomorrow night.
He mutters , audibly enough for you to hear.
—wait what did you say? Say that a little louder.
You purposely say to piss him off.
—you heard what I said. At 7pm , in front of the store.
He says and leaves the store without even saying a goodbye.
—ts…so rude.
His mom looks at him disappearing in the dark and then you. She takes your hands into hers and looks at you with a warm smile.
—please excuse my son. He can be pretty cold or rude sometimes but he has a soft side…he’s just afraid to show it to people…just…give him a chance and go to the date with him. Maybe you guys will get along if you spend some time alone.
You sigh in defeat , knowing that you can’t decline mrs Hye-jin’s request. You love her too much to decline.
—don’t worry about it , mrs Hye-jin…I understand and I’ll go out on a date with him.
Sang-woo’s mom gives you a satisfied smile and walks away to finish some work. You definitely didn’t want to go on that date but you had to…

I'm so happy seeing people talking on my post about Ciel's shorts (insane sentence but it makes sense in context). This is like a follow-up mega-post responding to the theories and headcanons I received.
@jeroidk wholeheartedly agree with this. Yana just loves to dress him in cunty fashion. I totally see him finding comfort in wearing shorts too, that's such a bittersweet explanation but I see it.
Similarly, @applestorms autism headcanon speaks to me a lot. I see myself in Ciel, from how tired he gets from socialising to not being keen on physical affection, etc. I like this take because it feeds into my 'Ciel is autistic' headcanon that he doesn't technically see a gender for himself; he just is. He doesn't mind the feminine or boyish clothes he wears, just as long as they're comfortable and smart-looking. I could go crazy on this but I do not have the time lmao.
@impulsiveasshole and @devianta left wonderful comments that really got me thinking. I was reminded of a chapter that would have benefited me in the original post lol. Chapter 37 introduces Nina Hopkins, Ciel's personal tailor. Sebastian and Nina have a sort of petty rivalry throughout but we find out that she definitely makes Ciel's clothes for him. (She's Yana's obsessive self-insert, I'm sure, and loves Ouji fashion, which is definitely part of the more literal answer to why Ciel wears shorts.) However, you are right, Sebastian has a large say in what Nina produces for Ciel's wardrobe. While shorts vs. trousers isn't explicitly mentioned, Sebastian shuts down a lot of Nina's avant-garde suggestions. Ciel seems to make no protest either and just lets them debate over style.
(I hate this manga sometimes, please be normal ;-;) Here we see Sebastian indirectly opposing anything that'll make Ciel seem child-like. If he honestly had an issue with this, then why is he still hiring Nina, who "has no interest in anything but girls or boys under 15"? For my sanity, I'm just gonna conclude that this is about her expertise in styles aimed at a younger clientele more than anything else... I believe you could read into this and determine that Sebastian's passivity towards Nina could mean that he uses her preferences to indirectly dress Ciel in clothes that are belittling or demeaning for his status. I really like this idea cus it adds another layer to how Seb, as a demon, can be pretty evil in his efforts to control and groom a contractor.
@bull-shit-suji The Victorian idea of what a child is FASCINATES ME when looking at Black Butler since Ciel's maturity and innocence are pushed to the very edge throughout the story. Reiterating former comments, we're looking at Ciel wanting to reclaim his childhood innocence, Sebastian having potential motives through Nina, as well as Yana's love for the fashion in general. You mention Funtom too, which I totally overlooked. To argue that his wardrobe contradicts his status and personality neglects the fact that he is also the face of a popular toy company. I can't confirm with a manga reference atm, but I'm sure Ciel himself has mentioned that the head of the company being a child is good for business. It wouldn't shock me if he used this marketing as an excuse to hold onto his prepubescence. Super super interesting!!
@annoyingttt made SUCH a good point and I totally agree. I'd say I did mischaracterise Ciel in my original post because he's not self-conscious of being viewed as a child, it's more he doesn't want to appear childish through his actions and mentality. The pride aspect is another amazing take. Completely makes sense now that you say it.

According to my mum (and she's pretty smart) the UK is the only country in Europe where Tesla sales went up during the month of March... they went down literally everywhere else...
And we just had a bunch of local elections as well, and the Reform party had an astonishing amount of victories... that's the far right wing one

That's a screenshot from BBC news, the light blue one is Reform, you can see how much they went up and how much Labour (centrist/left wing, shown in red) went down.

yeah I saw this all happening live. I suppose my major "we aren't as fucked as we appear" points are these
council seats don't count in for cities and metro areas bc theyre covered by mayorships, and its usually people in cities and metro areas who votes labour green or lib dem. Most mayoral districts are controlled by labour atm
Of the people who voted Reform, as you can see by the numbers, almost all of them came from previous conservative voters, not from Labour voters switching sides. It's a party shift but doesn't necessarily represent a major ideological shift
also by the numbers, most people who previously voted labour voted Lib Dem, and the Lib Dems are more left wing and progressive than Labour, quite considerably so
Of the people who didn't vote Labour, most will have done so bc theyre unhappy that the government hasn't fixed the country, not bc they are resistant to any progressive ideas
Greens got more seats than last time, and of the seats that weren't up for election, greens hold a lot of them, more than reform have total [859 across all councils I believe]
So yes, it is confusing and nasty to look at, and I'm not saying we shouldn't be worried. I'm just trying to not do Reform's marketing for them. They want people to say they've won.

day two and three


yesterday thien had two music auditions for uni; one at 11am and one at 7-10pm! so kiet (thien’s older brother who’s here with us for a few days) and I spent most of the day while thien was auditioning and practicing just exploring and riding around. had my first tim hortons and the donut was… just as I remember it from 2013…. AMAZING 🤩
the coffee was standard terrible north american stuff but it’ll do the job just fine :/
while I was exploring the campus and the various bathrooms I discovered a very cool invention:


these mirrors are two different kinds: on the left, a more zoomed out one and slightly angled downwards so you can see your whole outfit 🤯!! the right ones are all just the normal face-close-up-ish uni mirrors. but how smart is this. so far canadians=sexy. usa: 0, aus:0, can:1 💪




we kept riding around and explored this local market and then kiet had a nap, thien went to his audition and I went for a further exploration run to and around this small lake! it’s perfect weather atm


today we didn’t do too much, we rode to this biosphere on an island next to the city and said bye to kiet! at night I faced two of my worse nightmares: cooking on an induction stovetop and cooking rice in a saucepan instead of a rice cooker. got it done though and we had curry for dinner 🥘!
we went to where all of our classes will be to find our rooms for uni starting tomorrow! I’m nervous but mostly excited. I’m spending the first week trying lectures of like 10 different classes cause there are lots of interesting subjects and Thien and I are gonna go to some economics lectures too. wish me luck!

I'm gonna propose a theory about the Good Omens miniseries:
Love it, hate it or be in denial about s2 being a trainwreck, one thing sticks out:
It IS exactly the kind of thing that just reeks of corporate greed and studio-meddling and -mandating, just the things that are being striked against atm.
Mr Gaiman is not an idiot. But the whole thing is done by fucking Amazon, and regardless what some say about how little or much they meddle with production, there's a couple of things that really, really, really point towards three key thoughts:
Mr Gaiman might be under a very nasty NDA
A lot of the bullcrap in both S1 and S2 were mandated.
Amzen might have really dug their fingers into the right to adapting GO to screen.
The change of characters' personalities, the doing away with depth, the, frankly, manipulative writing, and now all of that and then some.
Gomens 2 is exactly the kind of 'for the, ehem, broadest, possible audience' writing that the marketing department and the big bosses' wallets love so much. Crunch and hastily stapled together script included, because there's no time for polishing, we got big bucks to make from the shippers.
No thinking required, just get your prime sub in, by the merch with no relation to the plot, and give it five stars because look how well we forced these characters in easily-digestable boxes. Oh look at this in-your-face-shoutout that makes ne sense to be there, it's smart, don't you agree?
The best thing to happen is 1, the strikers succeeding in all regards, 2. the possible NDA being lifted and 3. Mr Gaiman looking for a different studio and production company to adapt the book again, without the meddling, and THEN adapt 'Neighbour of the Beast'.
