When Hange and Levi are talking to Yelena and Onyankopon, does Levi actually say something about Erwin laughing about something that Yelena says? I remember seeing someone say that somewhere, but idk if it was true. Do you know what I’m talking about?
I'm tagging @tsuki-no-ura here because this is definitely one to file under A Question of Translation. This exchange takes place in chapter 106 when Yelena explains to Levi and Hange that the pure Titans Marley unleashed on the island, which were originally intended to confine the Eldians inside the walls, were actually preventing Marley from attacking. The panel you're asking about is Levi's response, and I actually have three different versions of it.
The first is from the fan translation of the raws:
Tumblr media
The second is from Mangastream, so I presume this is a semi (?) official translation of the chapter:
Tumblr media
And the third is from the English edition of the tankobon (I think):
Tumblr media
There was a huge amount of debate about this panel when it first appeared. The fan translation did not specifically mention Erwin but, many fans took the "he" to refer to him, meanwhile other readers argued that a better translation would have been something along the lines of "what a joke" or "don't make me laugh". Much as I love the fan translation, I'm inclined to think the Mangastream version is more accurate. The tankobon version seems to lack character. I haven't got a copy of the original and my Japanese is non existent anyway, so I'd be interested to see what Tsuki thinks.

Holy shit, I just realized something.
A while back, I found Eren’s behaviour and line delivery here to be implying that he somehow knew the Rumbling would happen. He speaks of it as if it’s a sure thing.
Tumblr media
And that’s because it was. At this point, he did know the Rumbling would happen. He’d already seen “that sight”. So to him, the Rumbling was an inevitability. He just found out what would have to happen leading up to that, hence his tone of voice.

Hi! I'm sorry if this is irrelavant question to chap 125 but I just read your meta on Armin, and it brought me confusion about something. You said "In Chapter 104 Hange asks Armin if he got “possessed by Erwin’s ghost or something?”" & "He’s the one that came up with the “reckless” plan to get Eren out of Marley"...I remember in the next chaps Jean said "Eren forced you into the battlefield to destroy Marley's naval forces" so I always thought Eren and Zeke came up with the Liberio plan!
No need to apologize! That’s actually a good question, because, to be honest, I have the same confusion. That arc is so incredibly out of chronological order that it’s hard to parse out. I spent most of my morning reading through the wiki trying to figure out exactly when we hear about Eren’s plan, if at all, and it’s still unclear.
However, I’m fairly certain (but someone please correct me if I’m wrong because I probably am) that in their exchange with Armin in 104, Hange is referring to the plan to get them into Liberio, to actually carry out the “rescue” mission for Eren and Zeke. While it was absolutely Eren’s fault that they had to do this in the first place—which Jean rightfully blames him for at the end of 105—I do believe Armin was the one that came up with the logistics of the mission. His guilty reactions towards the destruction when he’s talking to Annie in 106 seem to support that, though it’s true he would have felt guilty no matter who was behind it. I think when Jean says that Eren forced Armin, I think he was speaking in the more general sense that Eren forced their hand and made them act, and less so specifically forced Armin to do a certain thing.
Like I said, I could be wrong, but to me, there are a ton of moving parts to the plan, and I feel like the intricacies of it all might lend itself more to being a product of Armin’s imagination than Eren and Zeke’s. Basically, they had an idea, and Armin had to figure out how to execute it.
Thanks for asking.

Fic: On the Shoulders of Giants
Fandom: Shingeki no Kyojin
Pairing(s): Mikasa Ackerman/Sasha Braus
Rating: Explicit
Summary: It felt like years had passed since that chestnut hair had spilled across her pillow. It felt like years had passed since the last time she had brushed her fingers along the smooth underside of that arm, delicately tracing the bruises, swollen from the sharp thwack of the bow’s string against her skin.
Mikasa entertains the idea of building a life for herself with Sasha after the war, and ruminates on what could have been.
A/N: A tribute to some of my favorite girls. (And also debatably a coping mechanism, after the events of chapter 105).
(WARNING: MAJOR manga spoilers up to Chapter 106.)

I’m telling y’all, Eren’s switch in personality after Liberio is literally because he needed to become the bad guy lol. This is why his behaviour between his talk with Reiner and after the battle is so jarring.
In fact, I think his stance in this panel symbolizes the start of that change:
Tumblr media
He’s turning his back on the past and only focusing on what he has to do for the future.

Why is no one don't talks about the frame in chapter 106? How Lena looking at Zeke and how Levi looking at Eren. it’s looks interesting, because in Yelena’s eyes we can see a some admiration maybe, and in Levi’s eyes is anxiety?.. What’s going inside his mind? I have so many questions
