Flag of the Inca Empire
Tumblr media
This is the flag of the Inca Empire. It comes from a world where the Inca were able to defeat Pizarro and his troops, and resisted Spanish conquest. The naturally mountainous terrain of the Andes helped give the Inca a considerable boost in self-defense against other European powers. The Inca played the various European powers off of each other to preserve their independence. The Inca initially considered a policy of isolationism, but this would prove untenable. Though, initially, the Inca limited their interactions with the Europeans as much as possible.
As time went on, the Inca began to study and replicate European technology and ideas. The first major change being the introduction of gunpowder weaponry, and the establishment of permeant standing army. The Inca also established a formal written language; with its alphabet largely based on the Latin Alphabet, but with some unique flourishes. The Inca had been ravaged by smallpox, and other Europeans diseases, though not quite to the extent they were in our world. Naturally, the Inca sought out the vaccine for smallpox as soon as it became available in the 18th Century.  The 19th Century saw the next major wave of reforms. The Incan government reformed into a parliamentary democracy, with limits set on the Sapa Inca’s powers. The first stages of industrialization also began at this time. The Inca adopted Western styles of clothing, but mixed in their own designs and color choices. Indeed, to this day, the Incan clothing is known for its unique mix of Western and Indigenous designs. However, more traditional style clothing can be found at important events, such as major religious festivals, or the crowning of a new Sapa Inca.   Today, the Inca Empire is a prosperous modern nation. Cusco, the nation capital, is a true global city. It is home to several universities, museums and art galleries, restaurants, and temples that are the envy of the world. The Quechua people are the largest ethnic group within the empire. However, the empire is home to many other ethnic groups including, among others, Aymara, Mapuche, Wayuu, Het, Polynesians, and even Amazonian tribes. The Inca Empire also receives many immigrants from around the world.   Incan citizens enjoy a very generous social safety net. Government-funded healthcare is provided to all citizens, though private insurance also exists. The Department of Employment provides jobs to all citizens who find themselves unemployed. In the event that a citizen cannot fulfill any available jobs, they are instead given a welfare payment until new jobs become available. The Department of Culture helps provide funding for the arts. Some citizens, of course, cannot attend performances of the arts due to their financial circumstances. In this case, they can apply for free vouchers from the Department of Culture. This all means that most Inca citizens have fairly high taxes, but most consider the trade-off worth it.   The flag includes a stylized depiction of the sun god Inti. The Inca still largely follow their traditional religion; though secularism is on the rise. The blue symbolizes how the same blue sky stretches over all parts of the empire. In the corners of the flag are four chakana; a common geometric shape found in art across various Andes Civilizations. They are in the four corners of the flag in reference to the Inca Empire’s official name, Tawantinsuyu, which means Land of the Four Corners.

Labor Shortages in Northeast Asia as Southeast Asian Workers Seek Higher Pay, Departing Taiwan
Tumblr media
Since Taiwan established the Employment Services Act in 1992, it has officially introduced foreign migrant workers from Southeast Asia to make up for the shortage of local workers.
However, Japan and South Korea have also actively recruited overseas workers in recent years. The era of labor shortage in the three Northeast Asian countries has arrived. How to strengthen the pull to attract overseas migrant workers has become a new issue for each country.
In Taiwan, migrant workers can be divided into two categories: industrial migrant workers and social service migrant workers. According to statistics from the Ministry of Labor's National Development Council in 2022, the manufacturing industry employs the highest number of industrial migrant workers, totaling 476,000 people, accounting for approximately 96% of the total industrial migrant workforce. Among social service migrant workers, home care workers constitute the majority, with a total of 220,000 people, representing about 99% of the total social service migrant workforce.
Among the migrant workers employed in Taiwan, Southeast Asian countries have traditionally been the main source of migrant labor. Due to lower average monthly wages in their home countries compared to Taiwan, migrant workers are willing to work in Taiwan.
However, the situation is changing. In recent years, the manufacturing industry in South Korea has been offering very high wages to migrant workers, with monthly salaries approaching NT$60,000. Regarding home care workers, discussions are ongoing in South Korea, and the market has not yet been fully opened. In Japan, the monthly salary for care workers has reached NT$45,000, making it attractive to foreign migrant workers.
In comparison to Northeast Asian countries like South Korea and Japan, the salaries offered in Taiwan are no longer as attractive to foreign migrant workers. The average monthly salary for home care workers in Thailand has even exceeded NT$21,000, surpassing that of Taiwan.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Migrant workers in Taiwan can be broadly categorized into social welfare and industrial sectors. The primary source countries for these workers include Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand, with the ratio being approximately seven to three.
The number of male migrant workers from Vietnam has steadily increased over the years, addressing the pressing shortage of manufacturing jobs in Taiwan. Locals often exhibit reluctance to engage in strenuous work. Conversely, both Thailand and the Philippines have shown consistent upward trends in the deployment of migrant workers.
Indonesia stands out as the sole country among the four that primarily exports social welfare migrant workers. Indonesian female social welfare migrant workers predominantly work in the home care sector in Taiwan, providing services to the elderly and disabled in medical institutions and private households.
In contrast to the growth observed in other countries, the number of social migrant workers from Thailand has experienced fluctuations over the past decade. Wages in Thailand's social welfare industry surpass those in Taiwan, prompting migrant workers to choose to remain in their home country rather than travel to Taiwan.
Tumblr media
We compared the three environments for overseas migrant workers and found that foreign migrant workers account for the highest proportion of the labor force in Taiwan. However, migrant workers have to pay the highest agency fees before coming to Taiwan, and their average salary is also the lowest among the three countries. In addition, South Korea hires workers directly from the country, so no agency fees are required.
In addition, Japan and South Korea have more than a dozen source countries for migrant workers, but Taiwan mainly relies on four Southeast Asian countries, including Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Thailand, to export migrant workers.
Tumblr media
There are more and more migrant workers from Southeast Asia heading to Japan instead of Taiwan. The salary for migrant workers in Taiwan is lower than in Korea and Japan, and workers need to pay a huge amount of middleman fees. These are on of the factors of this trend.  Migrant workers from Vietnam had grown over 10 times from 2013 to 2022, and overtake Taiwan in 2018. A similar trend can be seen in Filipino workers. In 2013 Japan and Taiwan had similar amounts of Filipino workers, yet in 2022 workers in Japan were 30% more than Taiwan. If the working conditions and the wages do not improve, Taiwan will lose its appeal to migrant workers from Southeast Asia.

Quarterly California Youth Homelessness Bill Update
This is a bill update on purposed policies that impact youth experiencing homelessness in California from June 2021 to August 2021. This summary is to serve as an accessible guide to the upcoming measures that impact our young people. This post contains two sections: 1) New bills, and 2) Status updates from previous post. The synopses beneath each bill are excerpts from the Lexis Advance Bill Tracking feature, a tool frequently used for legislative research. If there are legislative terms you are not familiar with, consider checking the California State Legislature Glossary of Legislative Terms.
From enacting a specialized office, to expanding higher education services and definitions, to funding distribution, we hope that this continued discussion will positively support youth and young adults experiencing homelessness.

9 ‘Starter Steps’ to Save America From Socialism
1. Face Reality
Millions of Americans are still in complete denial. Many think the military is secretly in control—that it’s only a matter of time until justice is done and President Donald Trump is restored. There’s a “secret plan”—just “have faith.” The truth is that Trump was outmaneuvered by an alliance of communists, globalists, and even traitors in his own party. The “deep state” is now almost fully in control.
Trump isn’t coming back into office any time before 2024—if we still have meaningful elections by then.
To make sure they can never be voted out of office, the Democrats plan to enfranchise 22 million illegal immigrants, abolish the Electoral College, gain at least four more far-left senators through Puerto Rico and D.C. statehood, and flood the country with tens of millions more refugees and illegal immigrants. They also plan to nationally introduce voting “reforms,” i.e., mass mail-in balloting, abolition of ID requirements, etc., that will guarantee eternal Democratic Party control.
If the Democrats can abolish the Senate filibuster and place at least four more leftist “justices” on the Supreme Court, there’ll be virtually no way to stop any of this if we rely on traditional political methods.
We’re undergoing a Marxist-Leninist revolution driven by China—right now, in real time.
The military can’t save us, nor can Trump. On the contrary, it’s up to patriots to protect Trump and the Armed Services from unrelenting Democrat/communist attacks.
When enough Americans face the unpleasant truth, then, and only then, can we talk about hope.
2. Stop All Violent Rhetoric
Violence will not save America. The harsh reality is that President Barack Obama had eight years to replace patriotic generals with left-leaning political appointees. He did a great job. If violence breaks out (God forbid), the military will stand with the government, not the insurgents.
Does anyone think Russia and China and Cuba and North Korea and Iran would stand idly by while their Democratic friends are being defeated by a patriotic uprising? They would undoubtedly use the opportunity to finish off their “main enemy” once and for all.
Beware of anyone inciting violence online, at a public gathering, or in a private meeting. Distance yourself fast. They will be at best hopelessly naive, at worst government provocateurs.
The left is praying for “right-wing” violence. It will give them an excuse for a massive crackdown on patriotic Americans. This country will be saved peacefully or not at all. If significant violence breaks out, it’s over.
Having said that, the Second Amendment must be preserved at all costs. An armed populace is at least some check on tyranny, even if useless in the face of biological warfare or nuclear attack. Americans should keep their guns and work every day to ensure they never have to use them against their own people.
3. Restore Election Integrity in All Red States
If voter trust isn’t restored within months, the Republican Party is doomed. Democrats will continue to vote. Large numbers of Republican voters will stay home. They won’t trust the elections and will refuse to participate. We’ve already seen this play out in the Georgia Senate elections.
Thirty states are currently led by Republican legislatures. Some are already holding inquiries into fixing deficient electoral procedures. Most will be whitewashes unless the public gets heavily involved. If the resulting recommendations don’t include the elimination of electronic voting machines and heavy penalties for organized voter fraud, it’s likely to be a window-dressing exercise. Be alert.
Patriots must work to restore voting integrity first in the red states, then the red counties of the blue states—then after 2022, the whole nation.
Get involved in this process. It’s a top priority.
4. Close the Republican Primaries Immediately
This should be a no-brainer, but no one is talking about it. Only five U.S. states have truly closed Republican primaries. This means that in most states Democrats and independents (even communists) can vote in Republican primaries—and they do. All over the country, the GOP’s enemies vote in Republican primaries to pick the weakest, most wimpy candidate they can.
That’s why the Republican base is super patriotic but most of their elected representatives in most states vote like “progressive” Democrats.
Close the primaries, Republican patriots. It will transform your party.
5. Organize a Compact of Free States
MAGA folk need to build a “nation within a nation.” This doesn’t mean secession—Russia and China would be quick to exploit such division. What’s needed is a reaffirmation of 10th Amendment rights as already outlined in the U.S. Constitution. The already out-of-control federal government is about to go on a rampage against every form of independence left in the country. Every red state with the courage to do so must immediately begin working toward a formal compact to collectively oppose all forms of federal overreach.
Such a formal alliance should start with Florida and Texas, then grow by inviting Oklahoma, the Plains states, most of the Southern states, New Hampshire, the free Midwestern states, and the Republican-led Northern and Western states.
Such an alliance, stretching from the Florida Keys and the Gulf of Mexico all the way to the Great Lakes and the Canadian border and even Alaska, would bisect the entire country.
Adding the red counties of the blue states such as Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Illinois, Minnesota, New Mexico, Colorado, Washington, Oregon, and California, would create a voting and economic bloc that Washington would find exceedingly difficult to challenge.
When the Biden administration recently suggested that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis close all restaurants in his state to slow the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus pandemic, the governor politely refused—citing the ineffectiveness and horrendous economic consequences of mass lockdowns.
Biden then reportedly hinted at an unconstitutional ban on air and road travel to and from Florida. This threat might work against Florida alone. It wouldn’t work against Florida plus Texas and Oklahoma and 10 to 25 other states.
The United States is technically a federation of free and independent states. It’s time to fully realize that ideal.
Southern states will soon be reeling under a massive new wave of illegal immigration. The federal government will do nothing to prevent it. Texas, Florida, Arizona, and the free counties of New Mexico and California need to be preparing to defend their borders now. This isn’t an immigration issue that is the constitutional preserve of the federal government—this is a state public welfare issue.
Of course, the Biden-Harris administration plans to pack the Supreme Court with more left-wing justices to make virtually anything they want “constitutional.” But this shouldn’t even need to go to the courts. State governments already have the power under the 10th Amendment to nullify federal overreach; they simply have to band together to put Washington back into its constitutionally tiny box.
The Republic will be saved through the courageous application of the First Amendment (free speech) and the 10th Amendment (state sovereignty).
6. Republic Review
Every free state should immediately embark on the adoption of the “Republic Review” process. There’s a small but growing movement in some Western and Northern states to review their engagement with the federal government to eliminate or nullify all unconstitutional relationships.
Under the Constitution, the states are technically superior to the federal government. They’re sovereign under the “equal footing” doctrine and have the legal power to refuse to engage in unconstitutional programs.
For instance, most states only get about 10 percent of their education budget from the feds—but are almost completely subservient to Department of Education dictates. Why not forgo the measly 10 percent in exchange for a return to local control over all public education? America is losing its youths in public schools. Every patriotic parent knows that.
This would give parents more control over their children’s education and restore citizens’ control over their own government. Is this worth 10 percent of your state’s education budget?
If the free states are willing to stand against federal overreach, they must also be prepared to forgo unconstitutional federal money.
A thorough Republic Review audit would soon return power to the state legislatures—where it belongs.
7. Form a Multi-State ‘America First’ Popular Alliance
The left has “Our Revolution,” a nationwide alliance of 600 groups operating both inside and outside of the Democratic Party. Operated by Democratic Socialists of America and the Communist Party USA, Our Revolution works in the Democratic primaries to elect far-left candidates such as Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) into office. Our Revolution isn’t subject to Democratic Party discipline, but it does get to choose Democratic candidates.
We need an “America First” umbrella group to operate both outside and inside the Republican Party—even possibly within the Democratic Party in some areas.
This organization should be all about pushing the MAGA/America First agenda at every level of government, in every state of the union.
Such a movement could harness the energy of 70 million to 80 million Trump voters without being under Republican Party control.
America First could unite the Tea Party and MAGA movements, grassroots Republicans, patriotic Democrats, and independents to mobilize tens of millions of voters to transform the GOP into the truly populist, patriotic MAGA party it should always have been.
Take that, Mitch McConnell!
Trump is already vetting candidates to stand against Republican House members and senators who betrayed their own base after the 2020 election.
America Firsters should register Republicans by the millions to primary out dozens of Republican sell-outs in 2022. The America First/MAGA movement could “own” every level of the GOP by 2024. The GOP needs the MAGA movement way more than the MAGA movement needs the Republican brand.
Meanwhile, there are almost 70 far-left Democratic members of Congress in red states. Just restoring voter integrity alone could defeat several of them in 2022.
Running MAGA candidates backed by Trump in every one of those races could flip many more. It would be more than feasible to take back the House in 2022 to make Biden a “lame duck” president.
8. Boycott/Buycott Bigtime
Patriots should be abandoning Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc. for more honest platforms. They should also enthusiastically support efforts by DeSantis to heavily fine Big Tech operators who “cancel” patriots. If 25 or 30 free states did the same, Big Tech would soon be little tech.
Patriots need to organize nationwide boycotts of unpatriotic companies and buycotts for loyal American companies like My Pillow and Goya Foods.
Already, local groups are drawing up lists of “unfriendly” local companies and friendly alternatives so patriots can stop supporting their opponents and spend more with their fellow MAGA supporters.
It would also be smart to sequentially target vulnerable unpatriotic companies.
Imagine if 80 million MAGA patriots resolved to begin a nationwide boycott of one such company, starting now. The boycott would go on indefinitely until the target company was broke, or it apologized for “canceling” patriots. If applicable, every MAGA family could simultaneously commit to buying at least one of the canceled person’s products this year.
On April 1, another disloyal company could be targeted, then another on May 1, another on June 1, etc.
After two or three companies had collapsed or apologized, we would soon see large companies start to back away from the “Cancel Culture.”
Patriots have spending power in this country, people. We need to starve our enemies and feed our friends.
Again, patriots need to build a nation within a nation.
It should be also a given that every U.S. patriot boycotts all communist Chinese goods wherever possible. Check those labels! Buying Chinese communist products in 2021 is like buying Nazi products in 1939. It’s immoral and it’s suicidal.
The Chinese Communist Party just crippled the U.S. economy with the CCP virus. Then, pro-China communists instigated mass Black Lives Matter rioting. Then, the same people worked to influence the 2020 election.
It’s about time Americans stop funding their No. 1 enemy—the CCP.
9. Remove Malign Foreign Influence at State Level
DeSantis has announced legislation to massively curtail communist Chinese activity in Florida. The legislation also targets several other enemy states, including Russia, Iran, Syria, North Korea, Cuba, and Venezuela—all of which interfere in this country’s internal affairs.
In December 2020, Trump’s Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe revealed that the Chinese Communist Party was conducting a “massive influence campaign” focused on dozens of members of Congress and their aides, including through attempted blackmail and bribery.
Currently, thousands of foreign companies from hostile regimes are buying up land, food production facilities, technical companies, educational facilities, and infrastructure. Tens of thousands of foreign agents are co-opting unpatriotic businessmen, unethical politicians, and sympathetic journalists in the interests of China and other malevolent states.
Under the Biden-Harris administration, nothing will be done to stop these activities at a federal level—but much can still be done by the free states. If every free state cracked down on foreign bribery, corruption, espionage, and subversion, this country would be transformed.
If hundreds of corrupt academics, journalists, businessmen, and politicians (from both parties) were exposed and punished, this country would soon be well on the way to moral, economic, and political recovery.
What Do You Think?
These steps alone won’t save America—but I believe they would be a huge step in the right direction. I will be following up with further suggestions and plans. But for now, I’d love to see your comments, suggestions, and criticisms in the comments section.
Thank you for reading. From a grateful Kiwi, God bless America.
Thanks,
Mike Capeloto

Everything but Brexit: What Johnson's Cabinet means for the country
Tumblr media
By Chaminda Jayanetti
Boris Johnson's new Cabinet has been analysed almost entirely through the prism of Brexit. Given the political context and the identity of his new ministers, this is hardly surprising.
Nevertheless, Johnson is clear he wants to put a broader agenda to the public. Even amid the chaos of Brexit, ministers can pursue policy shifts. But that said, whereas David Cameron's first Cabinet included ministers with long-planned reform agendas - Michael Gove's free schools, Andrew Lansley's NHS Bill, Iain Duncan Smith's Universal Credit - Johnson's appointments smack more of loyalty, patronage and Brexit strategising than anything else.
But with deficit reduction apparently now on hold, ministers are likely to have more room to manoeuvre than their predecessors. These are now the most powerful people in the country. What will they do with it?
Tax and spend
Johnson's choice of chancellor could prove to be one of the most meaningful in memory. While both Sajid Javid and Liz Truss rose through the ranks as small state ideologues, at this point in their careers Javid is by far the more willing to spend money. Had Truss been appointed chancellor, the likelihood of significant infrastructure spending would have receded fast. Johnson gave the job to Javid for a reason.
Which Saj is the real one? The Ayn Rand small-state diehard, or the man who, as Stephen Crabb's anointed chancellor in his 2016 leadership bid, pledged £100bn of debt-funded public spending on infrastructure?
Johnson clearly wants to spend money on infrastructure. But day-to-day spending is different - Philip Hammond hamstrung Theresa May's 'burning injustices' agenda by fixating on austerity.
Johnson is now pledging to halt deficit reduction and spend on schools, police and the NHS, whilst also pledging big tax cuts. Supposedly this will be funded by the money saved on EU contributions - but that's just fantasy. Will Javid toss Tory deficit targets out of the window? Will he accept the tax giveaways to high-earners Johnson is promising? Or will he turn out to be another Treasury deficit hawk?
Significantly, Matthew Elliott has been brought in as Javid's adviser. Elliot co-founded the Taxpayers Alliance, the fanatically ideological, covertly funded think tank that built much of the media hysteria against public spending a decade ago.
Public infrastructure is set for an overhaul - that much is certain. But what Javid does on tax and public service spending will decide his relationship with his boss, his party's survival, and the country's future. The early signs are that the taps will bring forth a trickle, not a stream.
Health and care
Matt Hancock sold his soul to save his job. While he's obsessed with elevator pitches for gimmicky health apps, the NHS urgently needs more money.
The government is already committed to increasing NHS spending over the coming years - but this is predicated on a reform agenda centred on controversial 'Sustainability and Transformation Plans' that often include hugely unpopular hospital cuts and closures.
Johnson, forever marked by the infamous £350m Leave campaign pledge, will back extra NHS spending - though its adequacy to meet current and future needs is doubtful. In his first speech as prime minister he pledged 20 new hospital upgrade. That suggests that investment in the health service's crumbling real estate is coming - particularly in Leave-voting target seats.
The new prime minister has also backed social care reform, based on building a cross-party consensus behind a market social insurance system to fund care long term, plus a promise that people will no longer need to sell their homes to fund their care.
This is far too big to pull off until Brexit is fully resolved. If it happens at all, it won't be until long, long after October 31st. Social insurance also won't address needs for the next ten years, and the existing system needs new money fast.
And anyway, the chances of cross-party consensus on care reform are minimal - political attacks sank care reform plans in 2009 and 2017, and with Jeremy Corbyn's Labour party seeking to bring care closer to the tax-funded NHS rather than resorting to marketised insurance models, they will likely do so again.
Education
While the schools sector scratches its head over what Gavin Williamson is doing at the Department for Education, the big questions will be for No.10 and the Treasury. We know that higher spending on schools is coming, but how much and in what form?
His first pledge was a paltry 0.1% increase in spending that would have solved very little. After that was ridiculed for its inadequacy - and in a sign of making policy on the hoof - he then upgraded it to a pledge to reverse all cuts to school funding since 2015 by the year 2022. That much meatier promise will cost nearly £5bn a year - but halting deficit reduction gives him the room to pull it off.
What he hasn't addressed is the crisis in special needs education, which is sinking council finances and cutting children adrift. Williamson is not top of the list of people you'd choose to deal with it.
Welfare
Another soul-seller. The fact Amber Rudd kept not just her Cabinet rank but also her department in Johnson's brutal reshuffle suggests he has no particular agenda of his own here. Rudd has focused on tweaking the Tories' catastrophically broken benefit system, amending Universal Credit and policies such as the two-child limit to avoid some of the worst headlines without actually changing direction.
What the welfare state really needs is almost wholesale reversal of the last ten years - but that's not happening. At best, Javid might allow Rudd the money to scrap the damaging five-week wait for Universal Credit that drives so many claimants to destitution. Or he might not. Watch out also for Rudd's plan to merge the assessment process for the two main disability benefits - another shambles waiting to happen.
Transport
We know public transport investment is on its way. The big questions are what projects and where. Doubts permeate the future of HS2, especially with a small Commons majority and restive rural backbenchers along the planned route. Meanwhile, northern cities are likely to receive a hefty share of new spending, given the post-Brexit politics of transport spending - and the location of Tory target seats. However, lofty pledges and future plans may mean nothing unless new transport secretary Grant Shapps can get to grips with Britain's rail network, whose fragmentation has caused so much misery for commuters in recent years.
Housing
Esther McVey is an appalling choice as housing minister - a small-minded benefits-basher with a record of incompetence and ignorance, who owes her job to being fanatically pro-Brexit. Reversing housing benefit cuts is key to solving the housing crisis, but don't expect McVey to notice.
England essentially has two housing crises - middle class millennials can't afford to buy a house, especially in the south east, while housing benefit cuts and minimal social housebuilding has fuelled a homelessness crisis. The latter is more urgent, but the former is more critical to the Tories' election prospects.
Criminal justice
David Gauke's plan to scrap short prison sentences meant he was one of the few members of May's Cabinet with a progressive policy agenda. His replacement at the Ministry of Justice with centrist prisons minister Robert Buckland gives reason to believe this will continue, provided hardline home secretary Priti Patel doesn't try and intervene.
It seems a lifetime ago that the Tory leadership contest found itself swamped with the most cringing drugs 'scandal' in history. But for all the evident hypocrisy of Britain's drugs laws, it would be a surprise for any government with Patel at the Home Office to significantly relax prohibition.
As for Patel's previous support for the death penalty - there's no bringing that back without leaving the European Convention on Human Rights.
Workers' rights
Arch neoliberals such as Liz Truss and Priti Patel are not occupying roles that give them the opportunity to slash workers' rights. That said, Theresa May's hopelessly unfulfilled agenda of protecting gig economy workers and putting workers' representatives on company boards is likely to die a swift and quiet death.
Climate change
On what may be the hottest day in Britain's recorded history, cool yourself down with the knowledge that there is no sign either Johnson or his pro-fracking new environment secretary Theresa Villiers give a rat's backside about climate change.
