One fleeting moment, the memories exist in the present world to make sense of what had transpired. And in a blink, the Artificial Intelligence remembers her true identity.
These two cannot exist at the same time.
Getting this off my chest because of certain online discourse.
I know this might sound like I'm closed-minded, but no matter how often Spark 3 is hyped up as "3D Sonic but better" I just can't be bothered to get into it.
I don't want to have to play a "Sonic-like" franchise to get my fix for good 3D Sonic games. I want 3D Sonic games to be better. No amount of clickbaity viral videos will change that. Even if Spark 3 was the greatest game made by mankind (which it isn't) it still can't replicate the emotional attachment I've had with the Sonic franchise, characters, and world for over a decade and a half.
When you boil it down, Spark's entire identity is basically "Sonic but not really Sonic". It's no different than Bubsy, Aero the Acro-Bat, Awesome Possum, Gex, or any of those other failed animal mascots that tried and failed to compete with Sonic. This is the same reason I've never bothered with Freedom Planet. Its entire identity was basically "Classic Sonic with the serial numbers filed off" and it was made completely redundant when Sonic Mania came out.
Oh, one more thing: It really rubbed me the wrong way that Spark's creator low-key encouraged people to keep making these bad-faith comparisons.
