'Kay so like, sorry fishstickies, I like these two. This is more so for the AU I have where these two are kinda sorta mates. Two respected leaders of the scug colony they run.

- hunter is actually not infected by rot in this au. instead they have the patterns of the rot to scare off predators, a design by nsh. this makes other slugcats a bit afraid of them, but monk loves them.

-hunter is artis adopted child

-nightcat is related to saint

- nightcat is also part void worm, they can levitate

-arti is “king” of both scavs and slugcats

-enot and saint, arti and spear, and monk and hunter are shipped

More tetherball (that's the name now, no one can change my mind).

Fleshing out their dynamic more. Gourmand, despite being a natural born leader, is pretty laid back. The guy just wants to see everyone vibing and living their best cycles. His natural charisma make other scugs listen to him easily, but he's pretty reactive and doesn't have much drive to be "in charge" of everyone. When the colony gets big, however, Spearmaster comes in clutch. He calms them down.

Spearmaster, on the other hand, is an utter calculated control freak. My dude was built to do this mission for their iterator, and literally nothing will stop that. Iron will, fun stuff. When they settle in the colony after their chest injury, they have a super rough time adjusting to the lax nature of it all, often micromanaging on accident. Other scugs don't care for them that much, partly because of their muteness, but mostly for being annoying and following the rules too strictly. Eventually, they ease up, but they are still the proactive half of Gourmand.

Just imagine a chill dad and a crazy productive mom, and you have the jist.

And if it's not clear what's happening, spearmaster was drawing when hunter startsmaking fun of him and somewhat flirting and spearmaster starts defending himself while Gourmand just there like, "Guys let's just be a happy couple and stop fighting".
