I pointed this out on Bluesky, but honestly after all my years as a serious enough Giants fan that I listen to Spring Training on the radio, I must come clean. The Lemonade Man, who sells his lemonade by calling out, “Lemonade, Lemonade, just like grandma made!” or sometimes, “Lemonade, Lemonade, just like your mother made!”? That guy? He lies. The lemonade is way better than what either my mom or grandma made. Not that lemonade from concentrate is awful, but Lemonade Man’s lemonade is fucking next level.

so unfortunately i had a pretty crammed day and had no time to bring kenny :( but i still wanted him to be tied in to everything so here is a pic of him in my hotel bed!

i went to the chicago cubs spring training! my main family are cubs fans and they were going against the kansas city royals! fun but windy night!

there is a lot of stress adding up for the wedding coming soon, a lot of family drama is going on right now and it’s making me nervous but kenny is reassuring me it’ll be okay.

i promise i’ll get some kenny content for day 3 🙏

The voice of the turtle

I was riffling through the stations on my car radio Monday afternoon when I stumbled up some sweet music, indeed: Detroit Tigers play-by-play man Dan Dickerson calling a spring-training game between the Tigers and Yankees.

I could almost see the outfield. I could almost smell the hotdogs. I could almost see Jacob Morales’ bomb disappear over the center field wall.

The Tigers lost the game 10-2, but so what …? It’s only spring training - a time to get the kinks out.

Lest we forget, the Tigers made the MLB playoffs last year, following an improbable 31-11 final run to a Wild Card spot.

The team will play its first regular-season game in L.A. against the World Champion Dodgers. Their first home game is on April 4 against the Chicago White Sox.
