bobby looks so like ‘his father’s son’ here. his hair is clean-cut, styled away from his face, he’s got jack’s checkered coat, which is so ironic, and a nice formal tie, formal everything. he’s even sitting straight, no slouching in visible view. the softness of his youth and of his later adulthood is faded, hidden from plain sight, suppressed and stashed away. emulating his father so hard in this picture, he almost looks like him, even though he, in actuality, looks the least like him. (except for those icy blue eyes.)

idk how to put this but in a world where anime with characters who are physically time frozen tend to be like visibly child looking or like given a specific 'visual age' when we really don't need one for the understanding of the character I fuck with adult watanuki looking considerably different even if it's partly due to the trauma and career change and emulating his mother figure. like i like that he very clearly has a different design that's visibly adult and it encompasses ways he's shrunk back into himself and ways he's grown up

I don't pay much attention to KuroMomo, still I find Momoi's crush on Kuroko cute, (in some way) admirable, and it's sad many ppl totally turn a blind eye in favor of AoMomo.

Like okay I get that Kuroko doesn't reciprocate and Aomine is right there, at some points maybe Fujimaki intended to make AoMomo happen, but canonically nothing really happened between them, despite Aomine's type being big boob girls.

Ideas always came from outsiders that had little understanding of their friendship and just assumed a boy and a girl can't stay as friends (even if it's you Akashi my precious baby, I can't agree on this one). Some even went as far as calling Momoi's feeling for Kuroko shallow and short-lived??? I mean let's be realistic, we don't often need big reasons to be head over heels for things or people - sometimes it's a glance or a small action that matters enough. Momoi does not feel ashamed at all of admitting she fell for Kuroko because of a popsicle stick so why bother? She's honest with her love, but at the same time values friendship above all like every GoM member, and saying she should "move on" from Kuroko for Aomine - the one childhood friend she grew up with and obviously had deepest connection with - to me, is a disregard to both her feeling and Aomine and Momoi's canon dynamic.

nba playoffs incoming!!!!

watched the play-in games today, had a lot of fun!! that warriors/grizzlies game was fuckin sick. playoff jimmy back at it lmfao, plus steph exploding in the 4th quarter, that game was wild af. cannot wait for the playoffs proper to start. hopefully ja's ankle injury isn't too serious, cuz if he's healthy and the grizzlies get the 8th spot, that western conference bracket looks fucking crazy lol

i mean okc is def the favourite, w/l record and point differential wise they're like a bazillion miles ahead of everyone else, so if i were to pick a team to make the finals out of the west it'd obv be them, but everywhere else is looking like a bloodbath lmfao. rockets/warriors, lakers/twolves and clippers/nuggets could all go either way imo cuz, assuming good health across the board, those teams are all so close together. how good a chance any of them have of beating okc i'm not really sure, but any of them could be good enough to make the conference finals imo (bracket permitting of course, obv in reality la and denver would have get past okc in round 2 to even make the wcf, but my point still stands)

out east it's looking like either boston or cleveland, and as a long time 76ers and joel embiid enjoyer, FUCK THE BOSTON CELTICS. go cleveland. i like giannis a lot but i hear outside of him the bucks aren't great, esp since dame's out rn with that blood clot issue. i like the pacers a lot too, i'd be happy if they did well. but again, i'm assuming the conference finals matchup is gonna be celtics/cavs, in which case i hope like fuck that cleveland wins lmfao
