It's that special time of year again when I wh*re Kuroko out to the rest of the cast

I decided on a kissing meme for this year's theme, but was indecisive on who got what bc I'm a multi-ship wh*re. So, I made 2 random choice wheels (1 w/ characters, 1 w/ types of kisses) and decided that way to keep things fair and square... EXCEPT, Akashi rolled first and then got "kiss on the hand" which is literally what I drew for akakuro last year, so I had to spin again lmfao. murakuro getting dipped was also a hilarious roll bc of the obvious impracticality of it due to the size difference, so murakuro got more of a bigger moment 💜🩵

Dude, just re-watched season 2 of Kuroko's basket, and I actually hate how the writers treat Momoi. Like, why is she asking what's going on or who's gonna win a basketball game, and why are all these boys explaining shit to her, if anything, it should be the other way round.

The writers have literally set up the perfect character for basketball info dumping, but they let her fall to the sidelines because the boys are cool and her boobs leave no room for a character apparently. It's like they're trying to make me think about her for only her looks.

They already have dumbasses who can ask dumb questions. If you want, you can set it up so that some of the GoM have no clue what's going on, because she always took care of technical/ strategic stuff for them, or you can have one of the first years on her team be the dumb one. Or one of the Seirin first years and she can like, Idk, lean over the rails of the stands to explain stuff.

Maybe when stuff needs explaining she can pop up out of nowhere, and everyone is surprised, but she picked up the habit from Tetsu, since she hung out with him for so long. (Tangent, I actually don't hate her thing for testu, I think it's pretty funny, and she still manages to be an actual person in his presence, unlike some girls in anime.)

Edit: in episode 49 aomine explains 'the zone' to Momoi, this is the exception, it actually works for their dynamic, and it's understandable that she wouldn't really get the zone as she's not a player. Instead of being the sweet/ cool moment it could've been though, it just comes across as another instance of aomine mansplaining basketball to her.

Tldr : I see a lot of women treated badly in anime, and Momoi is the most recent example, so I wanted to rant a lil

I don't pay much attention to KuroMomo, still I find Momoi's crush on Kuroko cute, (in some way) admirable, and it's sad many ppl totally turn a blind eye in favor of AoMomo.

Like okay I get that Kuroko doesn't reciprocate and Aomine is right there, at some points maybe Fujimaki intended to make AoMomo happen, but canonically nothing really happened between them, despite Aomine's type being big boob girls.

Ideas always came from outsiders that had little understanding of their friendship and just assumed a boy and a girl can't stay as friends (even if it's you Akashi my precious baby, I can't agree on this one). Some even went as far as calling Momoi's feeling for Kuroko shallow and short-lived??? I mean let's be realistic, we don't often need big reasons to be head over heels for things or people - sometimes it's a glance or a small action that matters enough. Momoi does not feel ashamed at all of admitting she fell for Kuroko because of a popsicle stick so why bother? She's honest with her love, but at the same time values friendship above all like every GoM member, and saying she should "move on" from Kuroko for Aomine - the one childhood friend she grew up with and obviously had deepest connection with - to me, is a disregard to both her feeling and Aomine and Momoi's canon dynamic.

Hello everyone!

It's been ages, but I wanted to update this story, hoping it will continue to be an enjoyable read. A hug to all, V.

"So?" 

She comes running into the classroom, her long hair pulled back in a ponytail, her smile warm as she hands you a can of coffee and opens hers.

"He said it's OK" you reply, pulling a bag of pretty, hand-wrapped chocolates from your backpack. The ones you'd bought at the trendy restaurant you ate at last night, just waiting for this moment.

"I knew it!" she exults, choosing the cherry liqueur one, "Dai-chan never lets me down!" she concludes, smiling so warmly at you and at the goodness of the chocolate that you don't have the heart to point out the boy's true feelings again.

"So now you will be seen together in public and..." she continues, lost in her romantic fantasy made of waiting outside classrooms, public kisses and dinner dates with her and Tetsu. 

As if this charade were a real thing.

"No, for God's sake!" you exclaim, fiddling with the tin "For now Kuri will only know that there is a girl he's in contact with, so she can make herself even more pathetic" you smile back at her.

" Last night was so funny, seeing him so embarrassed and that nickname... A masterstroke" Momoi confides, moving her face closer to your ear as the princess enters the classroom.

" I had to play hard to get, your friend and I have nothing in common!" you tell her as you uncork the can under her gloating gaze.

"You just need to take a little time with your relationship, Dai-chan is a lot of fun once you get to know him a bit!" she tells you mischievously, laughing in satisfaction at the desperate look on your face.

Kuri, for her part, must have a radar that alerts her when anybody in the world talks about her beloved Aomine, because she goes to Satsuki to ask for useless information about league games.

" I'd like to get good seats and support the team" she explains, looking down disdainfully at the remains of your snack.

" I can always ask Sensei Shun if he has time, so maybe you can apologise to him in person" you reply ironically, once again pointing out what would have been the right thing to do, but which the champion of morality continues to ignore.

Satsuki's lips twitch briefly, you know she would like to smile but cannot, so she decides to show her sympathy in another way.

" Kuri's right, we need all the support we can get now that Dai-chan is so distracted by his private life" she hints quietly, then turns to you as if you didn't know "Last night he was so strange... Always on his phone, so moody! Then a text came in and everything was fine, right?" she asks, turning her wide eyes to those of Kuri, who suddenly becomes very serious.

" Something about his family, perhaps? He told me that he hears from his parents every night after training," the class leader suggests, so sure of her appeal to the boy that it's almost touching.

"I doubt it" the analyst smiles mischievously and nods at you both, before revealing the secret with a half-hearted voice: "He saved the sender as 'pretty', I saw it with my eyes! So it's definitely a girl!" she giggles, staring at you so that you say something, but Kuri is quicker. 

"Momoi-chan, you really don't know anything about this, do you?" she asks her in a sharp tone, so different from the usual sugary version she offers her.

" Since you're so curious, why don't you ask him directly? Then you would finally have a good reason to spend the whole afternoon glued to his back!" you interject, returning the not-so-subtle accusation to the sender. 

Once again you are saved by the beginning of the lesson.

Even though you think you've done quite well, there's something about Satsuki's expression that doesn't sit well with you.

She often looks at you and smiles, a half-smile you only understand when, sure there are no prying ears, she reveals it verbally.

"It may all be an act, but I'm really glad you've nailed the role" she comments, turning the pencil in her hands.

" You're no fun! " is the only thing you can say as you open your notebook and decide to give your full attention to the lesson. There is no point in explaining, clarifying or talking. Momoi has no idea that everything you do, you are also doing for her, to give her a chance to finally realise that she is the girl Dai-chan has been looking for all his life. She doesn't mean to, but her stubborn positivity will test you, because she's living proof that she doesn't notice you or how you feel. For her, it would be the fulfilment of a dream if you and her best friend became a couple, while you just want her to be true to herself to the core.

What you told Daiki in his living room the night before is exactly what you think, but also what you fear.

You just don't want your friend to realise too late that she's lost the man of her life because she still believes in the infallible nature of first love. After seeing their photos together, after he almost attacks you to claim his right to love her, after seeing how his face changes when he talks about her, you can only ask yourself one thing: why shouldn't Daiki be Momoi's soul mate?

You are distracted from these thoughts when the pink-haired girl's fingertips brush against your elbow and place a note under your nose, a torn corner of her notebook with a single word written on it.

"Sorry."

I was annoyed at myself for not giving enough love to my precious daughter Satsuki so I started another series of drawings with her wearing a yukata. But since i'm probably not going to finish them soon here some blurry sneak peeks of the sketches to gauge your interest

I started with Kuroko just because i wanted to draw something blue and pink with my favorite ships.

Then my Akashi brainrot took control so i had to draw one with him too

And in the end i thought it was weird to draw one for AkaMomo and KuroMomo but not for my favorite Momoi ship so i started one with AoMomo too.

I'll probably do one with MomoRiko too.

Momoi ships tier list

I'm a AoMomo truther, If Aomomo has a million fans, I'm one of them. If Aomomo has one fan, that one is me. If Aomomo has no fan, I'm dead. (i lied, i will ship them in my grave)

First of all, the childhood friends to lovers ? Perfect. All their scenes in replace where it's like 'Momoi say she loves Kuroko but isn't she in love with Aomine instead?' EVEN AKASHI SHIP THEM ! I can't imagine that the guy who is so good at prediction would be wrong about them. And Kise ship them too (to be fair he also ship KuroMomo but still)

The CD Drama where Kise help Momoi to prepare her perfect date with Kuroko and Aomine is there. And the whole days it's very clear that he already act like her boyfriend, he know everything about her, says she is always beautiful, finish her food because he knows it's too spicy for her. Aomine's type is literally 'someone exactly like Momoi'.

I can't imagine a future where they don't end up together, maybe not in high school because they are so used to being together that they won't realize their feelings yet, but they will definitely get together at some point (Even their family ship them, her grandmother even sewed him a yukata for the summer festival).

For Akashi i already talked a lot about them but yeah AkaMomo is an awesome ship too.

KuroMomo is cute, but i'm gonna be honest with you, 75% of the reason i ship them is because their hair color looks so good together. Yeah i know it's a weak reason but baby blue and soft pink ? The aesthetic is flawless. And of course they are great friends too. And Momoi's crush is adorable.

I like MidoMomo for their friendship too, but what sold the ship for me was the Summer Festival chapter where Midorima comforted Momoi because she was worried that all the weird guys hitting on her made her a nuisance to her friends as they couldn't fully enjoy the festival.

MomoRiko who doesn't like rivalry ships? They saw each other as rivals and equals and treated each other as their most worthy opponent and in their interviews in Kuro Fes they kept talking about each other. Plus, they pay way too much attention to each other's bodies for it to be purely platonic. I loved seeing their duo in extra play.

For Imayoshi, Momoi's type is someone mysterious, and that applies so well to Imayoshi (he even hinted that he had ties to some shady people at one point). They are both very intelligent and work so well together for the team. I love all their interactions, even the most mundane.

KiMomo is really cute and I love their friendship, but I only ship them a little because they are perfect besties in my eyes. Same for Takao but I can't even ship him a little, maybe because they have less interaction?

This is facts she was literally objectified by everyone in the series (including the creator because it's 100% possible to have a big-chested character that is more than just her body but what do I know) but Kuroko is one of the only people in Seirin who doesn't see her like that.

This is also why I liked her friendships with the Teiko gang so much because nobody sexualized her and they also went out of their way to defend/comfort her when she gets approached by creeps (even though I despise how many instances she has been put into situations like that like can we please have a Momoi conflict that is not her just getting harassed by older boys/men).

But Kuroko truly was the og who was respectful to Momoi and made efforts to spend time with her. And they cared about each other a lot. They don't mention it in the anime, but in the manga, after the 111-11 incident, Kuroko didn't just stop coming to basketball practice; he stopped coming to school, too. And it was Momoi who went out of her way to drop by his house to check on him even though he refused to open the door.

Tbh, even though they work as a ship, it's implied in the series that Aomomo is the real endgame. But I still really enjoy both dynamics because they're incredibly wholesome.

the funniest thing about everyone being jealous of kuroko

is that KUROKO ACTUALLY DESERVES MOMOI HES SO GOOD TO HER ALL YOU ASSHOLES DO IS STARE AT HER BOOBS

kuroko is consistently nice and respectful towards momoi

he DOES NOT see her as a hot girl with big boobs like everyone else does, he sees her as a person, a friend who he really cares about

she obviously likes him theres no ways hes oblivious to it, but it makes no difference shes his friend first and he loves his friends

i dont think this is him dismissing her feelings, and i dont think momoi sees it that way either

they know what they are to each other and thats enough for them rn

also they spent ALOT of time together in teiko, they where the last ones

i need to rewatch the teiko episodes cause I LOVE THEM LKJHGF

theyre relationship isnt just momoi being in love with kuroko and kuroko being oblivious either its so much more than that

theyre friends first witch is my favorite thing in ships like these, momois not hiding that shes in love with him but shes not taking his friendship for granted either

if they never date i think thats fine theyre great friends! but if they do end up together a few years after graduating i think that would just be so deserved for both of them

and i think theyd be really happy together :>
