I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to spend 8 years of my life in the south of France, I witnessed some great events but nothing compared to the Bastille Celebrations or Catalan Independence Day. I love how people embrace their own history and tradition. I love the multiculturalism in the UK and the diversity of our population. As a business owner, I am lucky enough to ask my staff how important this day is to them, therefore I have decided to close the business on the 23rd April in order to Celebrate St George’s day. It is not just the responsibility of the government to ensure this day is celebrated as is St David’s day and St Patrick’s day, the responsibility also lies with business owners who have the ability to give its employees the day off to celebrate our own Heritage. St Georges Day, should it be more celebrated.
