I will never know exactly why she gave me my stamp, but I think it's because she felt that I was too stupid to be any real threat to Israel. “We’ve lost him!” 
“What do you mean we lost him?” 
“He hasn’t returned to his handlers, sir. His last known whereabouts were traced to he heli-carrier which crashed into the river. No body has been recovered.” 
“His programming has been compromised, he must be returned and wiped before it’s too late.” 
“How shall we proceed sir?”
“Prep Liho. It’s time for her to prove her reputation.” 
WASHINGTON D.C. (post fall of S.H.E.I.L.D)
“I’m warning you, Rogers, you might not want to pull on that thread.” Natasha turned with a swing of her red hair and left. Steve held the file in his hands, the file that contained information on his best friend and what had happened since they had last been together. 
“You’re going after him, aren’t you?” Sam questioned, hands in his pockets. 
“He’s my friend, I have to.” Steve stated. 
“I’m coming with you.” Sam said. Steve nodded.

BUCHAREST, ROMANIA 2016
The streets of the city were bustling. People moving about their daily routines, it was easy for him to blend in. To become one of them, though he wasn’t. He spoke the language, he bought from local markets and returned to his small apartment, as normal a routine as anyone else. No one would suspect he was in hiding. No one would suspect he wasn’t sure who he was. He was good at it. Too good. For as long as he could remember it was all he knew how to do. Infiltrate. Extract. Execute. No mistakes. No loose ends. Don’t be seen. Don’t be heard. Now he was in limbo. The life he once knew was not his own, he understood that now. He didn’t want to return to it, he’d rather die than go back. 
Finishing his trip to the local market, returning to his humble one bedroom apartment with a bag of plums, he found someone waiting for him. A man he’d seen before. The man in D.C. He was reading through his notebook, the one he’d used to scribble down anything he could remember. Any fragment of the man he used to be. The man turned, 
“Do you know who I am?” He asked. 
“You’re Steve. I met you on the bridge.” 
“I want to help you, Buck.” Steve said, closing the notebook and setting it down on the shabby kitchen table. Bucky set down the bag of plums, 
“You can’t.” He muttered. 
“Listen, there are people who will try to find you. Try to use you. You’re not safe.” Steve continued. 
“I know.” Was Bucky’s reply. Steve furrowed his brow, looking at his friend who at one time would run charging into any battle. He now stood before him a shell of that man. Steve opened his mouth to speak again when Bucky interrupted, 
“You’re here to get me back to your base, where you’ll say I’ll be safe.” Bucky shook his head. 
“I won’t be safe anywhere.” He looked down at the floorboards beneath them. 
“Buck, listen to me. I can help you, but you have to let me.” Steve pleaded. Bucky looked back at Steve when the sound of gunshots and screams echoed from the staircase. Sam chimed in Steve’s ear, 
“You got company.” 
Steve looked at Bucky as if to say “it’s time to go”. Bucky punched a hole through the floor with his metal arm and snatched a backpack out of it. More gunshots ricocheted outside in the hall, more screams until they stopped. Steve and Bucky both watched the door to the apartment carefully for whatever was on the other side. The door burst open with incredible, inhuman force.    A woman dressed in tight black clothes stood in the doorway. She lifted her head, cocking it to one side as if mocking them. She splayed her arms outwards, objects in the apartment began to lift into the air. 
“Go!” Steve commanded, as the woman launched various household items at him. Bucky didn’t hesitate, jumping out the window and landing on the rooftop below. Steve blocked most of the onslaught with his shield, until he felt it being pulled from him by an invincible force. He strained against her power, charging forward to land a blow against her with the shield. The invisible pull stopped and Steve turned and ran, following Bucky’s route.
“Sam, we got a problem.” 
“What kind of problem?” 
“The mutant kind.” 
“Shit.”

“I’m agent 13, with SHIELD, and I’ve been ordered to protect you.”
“On whose order?”
“His.”
The voice resonated in Steve’s head for a few nights. While he watched Fury die. When he saw ‘Agent 13’ in the hall at SHIELD. He was utterly betrayed, not only by her but Fury. He didn’t know who to trust…
How ironic, given the fact Fury was the one who told him to trust no one. It had him questioning his loyalty to SHIELD. Did Peggy know what it had become? He looked around the building, filled to the brim with agents, some were probably double agents. Some were probably looking to kill him. They were definitely looking to kill him.
And sadly, he couldn’t say it was the first time he was questioning himself. Steve hadn’t been one for the politics involved in wars, in fact he hated it. Someone always wanted to be over everyone. Offering freedom, saying there was no price. Just a vote. It was never just a vote.
And those who threatened freedom seldom paid the price of it.
“Someone tried to kill my friend, and I’m going to do everything in my power to find out who.”
And Steve found himself questioning that too. In the end, he had chosen to carry on, complete their mission. Freedom. What has the world gone to? If it came down to it, and you had to choose between your friends and your morals, what would it be?
How long had Steve chosen one over the other? It started simple. Trying to save the world from an imminent alien attack often puts these things out of the way. Stark, for example, wasn't exactly the most moral of them. For some time he’d sold weapons to America’s enemies. He had changed that, and he’d made a lot of enemies for himself. But his goal was peace, Steve had lived long enough to know, peace wasn’t possible without war. Freedom wasn’t possible, if the ones demanding it didn’t have the means to keep it.
Nick Fury wanted to launch Heli carriers, capable of killing millions before they got their chance. Some were fighting for freedom, and if they took a moment they could see it was different than what they thought.
You had to always be ready for conflict, not always asking for it.
SHIELD didn’t seem to understand that. Putting a SHIELD agent in the same building as Captain America was asking for conflict. Nick Fury coming to his apartment after an attack was asking for conflict. Asking to delay the launch was a conflict.
That’s perhaps the first step Steve took to breaking down.

He was back in the hospital to retrieve this flashdrive. It was time to find out what exactly Romanoff was okay with stealing for SHIELD. What Nick Fury had the possibility of selling… and it was gone. Nat walked up behind him, he whirled around, shoving her into an empty room, “Where is it.”
“Safe,” she shortly replied, surprised by his gruffness, his barely contained anger.
“Do better,” he demanded.
“Why was Fury in your apartment last night?”
“I don’t know.”
She scanned his face, looking for any sign, any hint of why. To her surprise, there wasn’t anything but cold hatred.
He countered her, glaring into her soul. “Whose lies do you think you’re telling Romanoff?”
The question caught her off guard, she searched for a way out of this, a weakness to hit Steve with. “I know the shooter.”
“Oh? Enlighten me.”
“Some of the intelligence community doesn’t believe he exists, the ones that do call him the Winter Soldier.”
So the ones he’s working for are smart enough not to say it. In reality, it was smart. They had a master assassin, who had shot Nick Fury through a wall, probably just based on reflections if Steve had to guess. And instead of telling everyone so they kept it a secret, in such a way he’d never heard of him. I’d like to work for those people.
“He’s credited with over 2 dozen assassinations in the last 50 years.”
Impressive indeed.
“What’s on the drive Romanoff?”
“I don’t know.”
“Well, find out.”
She narrowed her eyes, “What’s gotten into you Steve?”
He scoffed, “I’m getting a bit tired of people telling me what to do and not telling me what for, come with me.”
She followed him out of the hospital, telling him their best bet was to go to a store, and use one of their display computers. After finding the origin point they stole a car and went out that way too.
By the minute he was only getting closer to his breaking point. Where he drew the line. Where his friends no longer beat his morals. Where he found something he truly agreed with. People who understood the price of freedom.

Colonel Phillips came very close to pushing Steve over the edge one day. So close, he was almost ready to start fighting for HYDRA. That encounter was nowhere near what happened in 2014.
What finally pushed Steve over the edge.
He was standing in the middle of SHIELD's old base, realizing Zola had been building HYDRA for years under everyone's nose. Realizing that Fury somehow knew this, that he knew something was up otherwise he wouldn't have bothered coming to Steve. Realizing that this mysterious shooter Nat knew all about was probably in SHIELD as well, so who was he? How was he allowed to operate in such ways?
“We got a bogey inbound,” Nat called worriedly. Steve was staring at Zola’s pixelated face on the screen, the remnants of the history video. Had he been on the wrong side this whole time? Could he still justify his actions with what he believed in?
The bogey hit the bunker, and he threw the rubble off of them, seeing searchlights already flooding the building. "That's it!"
SHIELD had just fired on him. On their own base to kill him. SHIELD, who was so far into politics that they no longer could find the line between moral and wrong. They were planning to kill people who they had been fighting to find peace. That wasn’t freedom, that was fear. Like he had told Fury earlier, and he hadn’t listened. And now this was happening and Steve was fed up with it.
The STRIKE team paused as he glared at all of them with intense hatred. At that moment even Rumlow was afraid that Captain Rogers was out for blood. What the hell was HYDRA doing differently? The Winter Soldier was a myth, but according to countless assassinations he had shaped the world they were living in now. What could more people like that do? "Take me to your boss, right now."
That's how he ended up at Secretary Pierce's late that night. Nat was in custody of them, and was soon rescued by Maria, but Steve didn't know that. He didn’t even know they had found her under all the rubble. He couldn’t have cared whether or not they did. She lied just like the rest of them. Stole intel for Fury, she had no morals, and for all he knew could’ve sold that information away. For all he knew she was dealing behind his back.
The STRIKE team kept close watch as he approached the Secretary, and the shooter stood, slightly retreating to the shadows. Close enough to act if Steve decided to try something. The Winter Soldier, a myth, a legend, a shadow who was giving freedom without inflicting fear everywhere. Pierce looked at him, "What are you doing here?"
"Persuade me."
The team looked shocked. Pierce raised a brow, "Pardon?"
"I'm tired of these lies, what's HYDRA doing that SHIELD isn't? What makes you better?"
There was palpable silence throughout his house, Steve waited patiently. Pierce looked at the others, "Is he- for real?"
No one spoke up for a moment, it made Steve wonder about the Winter Soldier. Where did he fit in the hierarchy of HYDRA? Or was Pierce truly in charge, calling the shots, while sitting on top of SHIELD, watching it burn itself from within. Why? Steve suspected it was because nobody could trust anybody. An army only works if the soldiers trust each other.
"He came willingly," Rumlow quietly said, shrugging, "asked us to bring him here."
"The world isn't going to be at peace, until every threat is eliminated. See, people that have power, that aren't on our side, they don't understand. They challenge balance and peace. When we have insight, all of the problems and imbalances will be eliminated, people will be free. There won’t be anybody holding the secrets, we're going to know them all, and then people won’t have to worry about getting shot in the back, they can leave their doors open and feel safe at night. Because they trust each other."
Steve crossed his arms, thinking. He glanced at the soldier behind Pierce, wary and on guard. Steve raised a brow, he suspected he should at the very least ask. Have the HYDRA explanation for the person behind the century. "Who’s this?"
"The Winter Soldier," Pierce answered.
"Does he have a name aside from that?” Steve asked.
"Soldat, Soldier, asset. Take your pick." Pierce answered. Still the Soldier didn’t speak, looking over Steve as if thinking up a dozen ways to kill him. Trust no one. Having been around SHIELD so much he could understand why the Soldier wouldn’t.
Steve thought for a moment, he looked back to Pierce, "What do I have to do to prove that I'm with you. And how do we make sure that the ex-director doesn't delay project insight."
"Well he's dead, isn't he?"
Steve scoffed, "If he can lie about insight he can lie about his death."
Pierce's eyes widened, but he seemed to also think that Fury could, very well, be alive. He tossed a glance over his shoulder at the Soldier. "Stop an attempt on my life."
"How?" Steve asked skeptically, no one could possibly know that, unless of course he knew all the secrets of the world. Which, to him, was a beautiful demonstration of what exactly they had in HYDRA.
"Soldat."
The Soldier glanced at him, Pierce turned, he spoke something in Russian for a minute. The Soldier grabbed a knife, his eyes suddenly shifting from dull wait to fiery purpose. Steve quickly realized what was happening and intercepted him. Then punched him. The Soldier fought him back, trying to carry out the mission Pierce had given him. But Steve was faithful to stop him. Every second he was liking the idea of joining more and more. To hell with morals, to hell with following orders, he was tired of being good and always coming out on the bad end of the deal. Of always being put in check and no one trusting him despite every effort to prove them wrong.
With a swift hit to the head the Soldier fell, a gash was now bleeding, he shook his head. Attempting to make sense of what just happened. Steve didn't dare turn his back, but still addressed Pierce, "How's that?"
Pierce glanced around him, "Soldat?"
The Soldier didn't respond, Pierce nodded in approval, "Welcome to Hydra, Captain..."
Steve thought for a moment. Captain America was for the 1940’s, when he knew who he was fighting for. He supposed he’d gotten used to it by the time he’d joined SHIELD. But this opened a whole grove of opportunity, he wasn’t just fighting for a few people, he was fighting for the world. "Captain Rogers is fine."
Rumlow scoffed, undertones of shock in his voice. "You really want everyone to know?"
Steve smirked, "Well if I'm finally fighting for the right thing you're damn right I do."
The Soldier climbed to his feet, Steve poised to fight him, again. Pierce grinned at the commitment, "Soldat, stand down."
He warily backed off, not uttering a word. But something seemed a bit off, he wasn't as focused as he was earlier. Likely the blow to the head. Steve turned to Pierce, "What's our first mission?"
"Rumlow, prepare the asset for a mission, take him back to SHIELD. Captain, I want you to lead the STRIKE team, make sure Director Fury doesn't interfere with our plans. Get to the control room, if anyone comes in or out I want to know. If something goes wrong with the Heli carriers then we'll have you there to intercept and take them down."
Rumlow went and the STRIKE team left with the Soldier. Off to prepare for the next day, one of the most vital days in HYDRA history. Pierce gestured to the seat across from him, "Let's talk a moment."
Steve sat down, "What is it you want to know?"
Pierce smiled, "I like you Rogers. I'm glad you've come to your senses. First of all, who are any candidates Fury would reach out to for help, what should we prepare for?"
"Easy..."

"It must be the disc..."
"I'll check it."
"Don't open that door."
The officer's looked back, some pulled their guns. Steve rolled his eyes, strolling casually through the office despite multiple gun barrels aimed at him, "Secretary's orders. You don't like it, take it up with him."
Yesterday the tone he used would’ve surprised him. Today, he was confident in what he was doing. He made his way to the door, opening it, Maria Hill and Sam Wilson were standing there. Maria was shocked, "Steve? How'd you...?"
"Now is not the time for questions," he ushered them in. One of the STRIKE team approached from the other side of the room. Maria pulled a gun, having been told by Nat that STRIKE fired on them last night. It occurred to her too late that Steve might’ve been taken by them and manipulated. Steve kicked her knees out, she missed because of it. Steve turned on Sam as well, using the wing pack on his back to his own advantage, twisting him and taking him to the floor. The STRIKE member put them both in cuffs. Steve looked at Maria, "Where's Romanoff?"
"Steve, what the hell is wrong with you?" Maria countered, trying to think through the possibilities of how HYDRA got him to turn. A threat? A promise? She couldn’t think of anything that would make him betray them like this.
"This is for the better,” he replied smoothly, not one bit of worry in his voice. It quickly changed, going from calm to anger faster than they would’ve thought possible for him, “where is Romanoff?"
Maria remained quiet, Steve narrowed his eyes, he addressed the STRIKE member, "Keep them in control, use whatever force you have to. I'm going to go take care of the other issue."
"Steve..." Maria called, he didn't listen, just kept walking. He had much better things to do than argue with lairs.
Exiting the main office he made his way to the elevator to go to Pierce’s office. Rumlow joined up with him halfway there, "What's the status Cap?"
"Romanoff and the ex-director are in the Secretary's office, or will be. I'm going over there to stop them, make sure the Heli carriers are up in the air in case anything goes awry."
Nodding in response, Rumlow split off from him, "Yes sir."
They split and Steve made his way to Pierce's office. Fury's helicopter landed outside seconds before he got there, and Steve quietly let the director walk in. If he went in now he was offering up himself or Pierce to be shot, if he went in behind they were trapped. He looked for someone else backing Fury up, no one was there yet.
He opened the office. Fury looked smug, but behind him Pierce looked more so. "Cap," Fury addressed, "When- how?"
Steve pulled a gun, holding it gallantly, "Secretary?"
"Just have him sit down, that'll be fine for now." Pierce easily responded, not the least bit worried.
Steve pointedly looked at one of the conference room chairs. Immensely confused, Fury sat down. Steve did the same to the others. Pierce was on his phone, asking for someone to come relieve the Captain of his duties so he could get to the Heli carriers. The Council woman sprang at him. Fighting surprisingly well. Steve could tell she was pulling punches. He quickly got tired of the fruitless fight. In the end they both had a gun on each other.
She pulled a wig off her hair, and a facial disguise mechanism, Nat glared at Steve, "What happened Steve?"
He scoffed, of course it wasn’t the real Councilwoman. Since when could people just be who they actually were? "I got tired of the lies, Romanoff. You're just as blind to it as I was. You could join us, and actually make a difference."
She sighed, sensing his jab at her disguise. Nat knew SHIELD was different from this, you just had to find the right people. "Not happening. Snap out of this, whatever they did to you, whatever they promised you. It doesn't matter, you're better than this."
Steve raised a disappointed brow, even having finally realized where he had been wrong about SHIELD it still hurt to see his friend refuse to change, "You're just like them."
Nat swallowed, then shook her head. Steve wasn’t in his right mind, he couldn’t be. Maybe he was- "Stark?"
"What about him?" Steve asked, rolling his eyes.
The window behind him blasted open, and in Steve's moment of distraction, Nat disappeared with Iron Man. She turned to Tony, "Take me to the Heli carriers. Double back for Steve, if they did brainwash him the best bet is..."
"Cognitive recalibration?" Tony asked, smirking behind his helmet, "Trademark Romanoff. I got it. You got the chips?"
"Yep." She said, patting the pocket she’d put them in. Being in the dress for fighting was rather awkward, “Do you have my bag?”
"One second,” he got closer to the carrier, “here's your stop."
He blasted through one of the barriers. Slowing down to drop Nat off, handing her the bag, then turning and flying back to the office. Nat quickly replaced one of the chips, "Sam? You read me?"
"We're a little held up here," he yelled over the comm, busy kicking the STRIKE officer while trying to break the cuffs.
"Hold still," Maria said, she shot through the lock, just in time for Sam to punch the STRIKE officer. He turned back, "You've got this?"
She looked around the room of confused officers, "Go."
"Coming to you Nat."
She went up the stairs to the main deck, stopping along the way to quickly change. Taking advantage that Sam was running late. When she made it to the deck saw one of the other carrier's getting closer to them. Sam flew up, landing. He grabbed her hand, then flew off the deck. Some jets started shooting at them. Nat rolled her eyes, “Right here is great.”
Sam glanced down at her, “You sure?”
She nodded, then let go, falling a few feet before deploying her grappling hook, landing on the deck. She jumped to her feet. The deck was entirely empty- but something told her that wasn't the case. After all, if two Quin Jets were now chasing Sam then someone still had to be guarding the main systems. A shot rang out and she ducked behind some crates. "Oh what now?"
Her attacker jumped to the side of the crates, gun raised. She dodged, then swept his legs out. On him in a second. She paused, the Winter Soldier threw her off of him, pulling another gun. She grabbed his rifle, using the end of it to hit him in the head. He stumbled a bit, ready to come back at her, but she jumped onto his shoulders, repeatedly hitting him in the head. Finally she managed to hit him hard enough that he passed out.
Steve was right about one thing, she knew more about the Winter Soldier than she had let on.
After falling to the ground with him, she left him there while she went to replace the chip. Time was of the essence.

"Alright Rogers," Tony said as he flew back through his hole in the window, "End of the line. Snap out of it."
"Stark, I suggest you waste your time elsewhere," Steve responded, handing the gun over to Pierce and taking up his shield. Tony sighed, "Rogers, c'mon, I know you're in there."
"Go to hell, Stark."
He threw his shield. Tony knocked it away, and tried to blast Steve, but the super soldier tackled him out the window. Tony caught himself with his thrusters, but Steve jumped as well, holding his back, bringing his shield to cut out Tony's arc reactor. He didn’t have enough momentum where he was.
Tony blasted him, lightly, just to knock him off. Steve caught the helideck, and pulled himself back up. Tony needed to make a choice: Bother with Steve, or save the Council. Right now that wasn't a hard choice. With a swift fly by he knocked Steve back, then shot at Pierce. If nothing else to distract him or knock away the gun. The Council was led out by Nick Fury, but Pierce was pissed and hot on their tail. "Maria,” Tony called over his comm, “slight problem, I need you to help the council."
She rolled her eyes, from where she was, "On my way."
Having explained the predicament to remaining SHIELD agents she had little struggle when it came to getting them on her side. They kept control of the deck while she went to help out Fury.
With that done Tony looked for Steve. Who had hijacked the Helicopter and was on his way up to one of the Helicarriers. Of course he’d moved on to bigger and better missions.
"Natasha, status?" Tony asked nervously, feeling like he was about to get chewed out by her for letting Steve get away.
"One down." she replied, still on her way to the middle of the second one.
"Which one?"
"The one highest up, I took the other chip so Rogers can't replace it. Do you have a backup?"
"Yeah...why?"
"I need you on the third one." Tony breathed out in relief that he didn’t have to explain the Steve situation. One thing was for sure, he wasn’t being controlled, not by anyone in the building at the very least. Something told Tony he knew good and well what he was doing.
"Sam?"
The Falcon turned in mid air, soaring towards the second carrier, jets hot on his heels still. Tony had never met the guy in his life, apparently he was on Fury's secret list for Avenger's candidates. Tony didn't mind him, for the few minutes he'd met him. And right now he was being a huge help. And they needed that.
"You got it Romanoff. Once you're done one of us can head back to the launch point and destroy them."
Tony flew up to the third one, where Rogers was heading. He needed to get there before him, and had a feeling he wasn't going to be the one destroying these things.

Nat pulled out the previous chip, inserting her own. She turned to head back to a place Sam could extract her, stopped by the Winter Soldier at the base of the ladder. He stared at Nat, she could tell that he wasn't intent on a mission. She'd been successful in her attack.
"What are you doing?"
"Taking down these carriers. Want to help?"
He glanced at the floor, apparently trying to look for orders- that's all he'd been used to for the last few years. Or- the last seventy. But there was nothing, but shattered memories, and some of them didn't seem like his. "I- I don't know you- I don't think-"
"James," she said, trying to replicate her voice from Red Room. It hadn't changed much, but still. Every little thing could revive a memory. His eyes widened, apparently that struck a nerve. "Did they brainwash Rogers?"
"Rogers..." the man from last night, he thought. Yes, he'd met someone named Rogers before. But brainwashing wasn't tied to anything he could currently piece together.
"I don't- I don't know."
"Will you help me bring these things down, because a lot of people are going to die if we don't." Natasha said calmly and pointedly.
He paused, but evidently sensed the severity of the situation. Nodding, he looked back at her, "What do you need?"
She kept her composure, but was happy that somewhere behind those lost eyes he had some idea of what was wrong and right. Without the trigger words controlling him he was somewhat able to realign what that was. Nat pointed out the broken window, "That helicopter is going to land up here any second, don't let him get that chip, but try not to kill him. Please, I don't think you'd like yourself if you did."
He furrowed his brow, but nodded, "Okay, what are you going to do?"
Sam flew outside the barrier, two jets chasing him. One of them shot at him, he smoothly dodged it. Nat rolled her eyes, "That's my ride."
She shot at the jets, hitting one in it's turbine, the other crashing into it. Sam flew in, he glanced at the Soldier, "Is that-"
Nat shook her head, grabbing Sam for the ride down, "Don't worry about him, let's get going."
"Fine."
Sam grabbed her and they left the carrier, soaring down to the next. James turned as he heard footsteps. His memory sparked for a second, but he couldn't decipher it. Rogers came across the walkway. He smiled, "Bucky! I can't believe this. You're with HYDRA too? I should've done this sooner."
Bucky was not a word that James could currently pull from his memory. He raised a gun, "Step back."
Steve scoffed, "It's me idiot, we're on the same side. I have to make sure that chip is still in place or Secretary Pierce's plan is going to be ruined."
This was too much, the red head telling him one thing, this guy telling him another. He wasn't sure who to trust. What to do... but killing people was wrong. He knew that somewhere in his head. He stepped in front of Steve as he tried to approach, coming up with a quick lie. "The chip is in place. I've been here guarding it."
Steve narrowed his eyes, "Let me check."
"I'm following the Secretary's orders."
If James was completely honest with himself he was a bit scared. Not only was he going against that logic, but he also didn't know who the hell he was. And that meant he didn't know what he was supposed to do. But this felt right, this felt better than some of the things he could pull out of his memory. So pushing the fear aside, and the fact that he was completely unsure about this, he put on a blank face, able to seem completely serious about the entire thing.
Steve had a lot of conflict with this idea, he knew Natasha was somewhere, but as far as he knew the Winter Soldier had been dedicated to the cause for years. It didn’t occur to him why his best friend hadn’t thought to come and bring him to the right side. Or why he didn’t seem like he remembered him in the slightest. James mentally breathed as apparently, Steve bought it, "They'll be back to check, they have another member, Iron Man, he might cause us some problems."
"We'll be ready.", he confidently replied, having no idea what Rogers was talking about.
Sure enough, the two that had previously left Bucky, and a third in flight made it back to the HeliCarrier. Iron Man, James decided, was an accurate description. He was clad in head to toe with red and gold metal, and for all he knew it wasn’t a man at all, but a robot.
While Steve was distracted, posing for a fight. James caught the red head's eye and gave a short nod. Nothing had been tampered with. She silently signaled Maria, who readied the ships to destroy each other. Steve scoffed, "Give it up Stark, you're not getting this chip."
"Oh yeah?" he responded, glancing at Nat, glad his face wasn't visible. He’d been told the whole story on his way up here, "Think again."
The ship rocked as the other carriers fired upon each other. Things fell out of place. The windows were already broken, it would be easy enough to just fall out of them. Steve turned on James, "You lied?!"
He backed up, wide eyed. Nat shot at Steve, who guarded himself with his shield. He immediately presumed that the secretary was either dead or captured, as well as the STRIKE team. If HYDRA's purpose had any chance of surviving he needed to find them both. Firing back he jumped out the hole, plunging into the ocean. James glanced back at the others, "Are you okay?"
After short nods he went against his own judgement and jumped after him. He dove down, tackling Steve mid air. Followed by a short fight before they both hit the water. James, feet first, Steve guarded by his shield. When James resurfaced he looked around for Rogers, and had his back turned when Steve sprang from the water to hit him. They both went under the water, fighting to go back up. James yanked the shield from his grip just before a wave crashed into them. The first carrier had hit the water. The next thing he knew he was on the shore, choking up water.
“I fucking hate the ocean,” he muttered to himself. He wasn’t sure whether it was entirely accurate. Given that it wasn’t even the fucking ocean, nor it’s fault that he’d been roughly thrown ashore after nearly drowning, but still.
"You have a name?"
He glanced up at the Iron Man, squinting because of the water still in his eyes. "I uh- I'm not sure."
"Okay, ‘I'm not sure’, let's get you some medical attention." The Iron Man said, offering a hand to him.
He got to his feet, still gripping the shield, "For?"
Tony rolled his eyes, evidently he hadn't realized he was bleeding. "Do you want a ride or not?"
He glanced at the endless shore, and the rough waters. What could be worse than getting his mind wiped? Or the ocean- or whatever other memories he’d forgotten and was afraid of.
"Sure, I guess."
"Hold on."
Tony lifted them both off the ground and they landed on top of a building in- wherever they were. The Red head smiled, "Glad to see you're alright James."
"So you know his name? Good," Tony said, "Anyone know where Rogers went?"
Everyone looked towards James, who shrugged in response, "I didn't see where he went after the wave hit us."
"He'll probably go for Pierce and the STRIKE team," Nat added, trying to work with his newfound strategy after defecting, "Maria said she was heading back with Fury, they got into the helicopter. Pierce escaped with STRIKE, it's hard to tell who else."
Sam glanced at James, he gaped, "Hold up."
"What?" James asked, his mind immediately thinking up ten different apologies or explanations.
"You're that guy from the museum, James- Barnes I think it was. You served in the War with Rogers."
James muttered something below his breath, his eyes widened, "I... I think I remember something like that."
Sam smiled sadly, "Sorry about Steve, but- welcome home Sergeant."
James nodded. Now something like that felt right. This felt more like him, even if he didn't know who that was yet.

"I'm so sorry," Pierce shook his head, "I had no idea that you two knew each other, or I would've introduced you."
"Fury knows," Steve scoffed, "Nat was the one who explained to me who the Winter Soldier was. They both knew and thought nothing to tell me."
Again with the lies.
Pierce nodded, sympathetically. "Well, what do you say? We try to get your friend back before they corrupt him, and then we can move on with this and eliminate the others. They threaten everyone's freedom daily. It's time that they get put in check, and you can finally be on the right side of that, just like you deserve."
Oh this felt right. For once since he’d gone under he knew what he was fighting for. And it was just. He could get behind it knowing that he was in alignment with what he wanted. Steve smiled, "I'm ready."
Pierce nodded satisfactorily, "Rumlow, take us to the base in Sokovia. It's time to start a new plan."

Térfelhangoló
Kezdeném azzal, hogy eddigi életemben többször költöztem, mint ahány éves vagyok. (egy előadói tréningen azt mondták kell egy ütős kezdés, most ennyire tellett sry). Jó amúgy nem számoltam össze, de szerintem megállja a helyét az állítás. Egyébként nincs is kedvem összeszámolni és talán jobb ha nem is. Mindenesetre ez egy folyamatos része az életemnek. Mondhatjuk úgy is, hogy egy mintázat. 
Nem tudom feltétlen eldönteni, hogy sajátom-e vagy “otthonról hozom”. Mert már gyerekkoromban is jóóó sok helyen laktunk. Konkrétan a 8 általánost, 8 iskolában jártam ki. Ez a helyzet kicsit normalizálódott gimis koromra és ott beállt némi stabilitás. De amint a saját lábamra álltam, folytattam a vándorlást önerőből, mintha csak kötelező lenne. Én egyébként nem is éltem ezt meg kellemetlenségként. Talán azért, mert ha valamiben felnő az ember, akkor azt tekinti normálisnak. Vagy mert egyébként ad valamit, a folyamatos változás. 
Szokás mondani azt is, hogy valamit felépíteni vagy sikert elérni csak hosszú kitartó munkával lehet. Abba meg nem fér bele a csapongás. Na de mi van ha én hosszan és kitartóan csapongok? Az nem ér? Egy fél pontot csak lehet rá adni. Végülis a megoldás ugyanaz, csak más úton jutottam el hozzá, vagy mi.
Mert amúgy valamit tényleg ad. 
Túl azon hogy folyamatos változást, de leginkább a lehetőséget egy új térre. Amikor huszonéves korom elején elkezdtem önállóan élni és létezni, ezzel együtt önállóan költözködni, akkor észrevettem, hogy amint megérkezek valahova, elkezdek rendezkedni. Fel se nagyon merült, hogy bárhol is jó lett volna úgy a berendezés ahogy volt. Egyszer egy albiban elvitettem egy egész falat betakaró szekrénysort, amiről a tulaj azt mondta, hogy szerinte ez volt a lakás selling pointja. Hát én meg csak porfogónak éreztem. Mert hogy hol fogunk táncolni, meg jógázni, meg videókat felvenni, meg körbeülni, hogyha ez a nagy szekrény itt elfoglalja az értékes teret. Nem? És végül elvitte. Én meg pár hónap után elköltöztem. De hát ilyen az élet. (egyébként évekig üresen állt a lakás mert a párjával való összeköltözés után 3-4 évig gondolkodtak rajta, hogy eladják vagy kiadják. Hát én segítettem eldönteni. Szívesen. 
A rakodóhelyre meg azért nem volt szükségem, mert egy 2014 körüli TED videó élmény a Minimalistákkal megadta a kezdőlöketet, hogy redukáljam a holmijaimat. Mint az előadó páros egyik tagja, nekem se fért a fejembe, hogy ha megvettem minden cuccot, egy valag ruhát és az össze kütyüt, amit csak emberre rásózhatnak, akkor miért nem vagyok olyan boldog, mint amilyen hittem ,hogy leszek ezektől? Úgyhogy elkezdtem megszabadulni tőlük. Mert hogy jobban belegondoltam, az íróasztalhoz sose ültem, a forgószéken csak ruhákat tartottam, főleg az ágyon laptoppal az ölemben tevékenykedtem. Abból a sok ruhából, amit felhalmoztam nem is volt ennyi szabadidőm, hogy mindet felvegyem. Ráadásul elkezdtem a Steve Jobs féle “ne gondoljuk túl mit veszünk fel” stratégiát alkalmazni, így a legtöbb ruhám tárgytalanná is vált.
Szóval, ahogy elkezdtem jobban megismerni magam, a szokásaimat és a prioritásaimat, egyre világosabbá vált, hogy mi is az minek tényleg van hely és funkció és mi az, amit csak jólesett megvenni vagy a reklámok sózták rám. Úgyhogy igyekeztem tudatosan különbséget tenni és így megválogatni a dolgokat. Így jutottam el onnan, hogy egy kisteherautó és egy utánfutó kellett a holmijaimnak, oda, hogy most a költözés nekem annyi, hogy egy óra alatt összepakolok, egy Opel Corsa méretű autó hátuljába befér minden holmim, és az érkezés után egy óra alatt kipakolok mindent már a helyére (amire ráérzek) és készen vagyunk. 2-3 órás művelet. Elutazni nyaralni is kb. ekkora effort. 
És akkor ezzel most azt akarom mondani, hogy ez egy követendő példa és mindenkinek hasonlóan kéne eljárni, és ilyesmire törekedni? Nem. Ez csupán az én storym, és én azért folytatom a minimalizálást, mert
1. jól esik
2. praktikus
3. több teret és időt teremt arra amit szívesen csinálok (ez főleg az alkotó tevékenység)
Na de vissza a történet fő sodrásához. 
Mert még ha nem is a bútorokon vagy az elrendezésen változtattam egy költözéskor, akkor elkezdtem dekorálni. Legyen már otthonos az a tér. Meg ismerjek magamra ha benne vagyok. A következő lépés az volt, hogy DIY vagy barátok által készített dolgokkal igyekeztem megtölteni a teret. Ez ugye valamelyest kéz a kézben jár az alkotási folyamattal. Egyrészt nagyon szeretem a saját magam által vagy a barátaim által feltett képeket körülöttem, mert valamilyen történetet vagy üzenetet hordoz. Sokkal személyesebb az energiája, mint mondjuk egy tömeggyártott IKEA-s képnek. 
Másrészt kellett a hely a flipchartnak és a filctáblának a tervezéshez, meg a világos falfelület és háttér a videók készítéséhez. Ez valamelyest egy ilyen funckiónális teret igényel, ami illeszkedik ahhoz az életmódhoz, amit igyekszem kultiválni. Aminek láthatod időnként a produktumát valamelyik közösségi csatornámon. 
Mert míg a korábbi életmódomat inkább a fogyasztás jellemezte, mostmár igyekszem termelni is. Illetve ennek a két oldalnak az ideális egyensúlyát megtalálni. Ezt úgy nevezik, hogy ‘Prosumer’. Amely a producer és a consumer szavakból lett összerakva, és arra utal, hogy habár az ember quite obviously fog ezt meg azt fogyasztani, tehát a fogyasztói oldalunktól nehéz teljesen megszabadulni és hát nem is feltételen cél. De mellette kultiváljuk az alkotói oldalunkat és hozzunk létre dolgokat mi magunk is. Van akinek ez a munkája része, hogy alkot és létrehoz valamit. Van akinek a hobbyja és otthon, szabadidődben barkácsol bútorokat vagy fest képeket, esetleg vesz fel éneklős videókat. De valamit létrehoz, amit megoszt a közösséggel. 
Én azt vettem észre, hogy ez esszenciális része a kapcsolódás élménynek. Egyrészt mert az alkotó folyamat egy olyan flow állapotot indukál, amiben most is találom magam épp ahogy ezt írom. Érdekes, hogy akkor jöttem rá, hogy benne vagyok, amikor leírtam, mert annyira benne voltam, hogy nem vette m észre hogy benne vagyok. Ez az állapotok jellemzője :P 
Másrészt azért mert ezek a termékek, produktumok, vagy bármi ami így létrejön az egy kapcsolódási mód, ahogy az alkotóhoz a világ többi része kapcsolódni tud. Ráadásul jellemzően ezek a folyamatok elég egyediek és önazonosak, hiszen ha valaki választhat hogy mindentől függetlenül mivel szereti az idejét tölteni, akkor valami olyat fog választani, amiben őszintén örömét leli és lelkesen tud vele foglalkozni. Ez meg nyilvánvalóan érződni fog az eredményen. És ennek az energiáját megérzik az emberek. Ez szerintem egy nagyon élettel teli és kiegyensúlyozott élethez tud vezetni. Hogy az ember alkot, teremt, létrehoz, megvalósít. 
Azért is, mert a megvalósítás során a folyamatban való elveszés közben nincs idő pl. aggódni. Vagyis pontosabban nincs idő. Úgy általában. De éppen ezért nem jár az agyunk olyan dolgokon, amik fölött nincs hatalmunk, nincs kontrollunk és csak összezavarna vagy felstresszelne. Helyette olyan folyamat veszi fel a figyelmünk teljes kapacitását, amely fölött totális kontrollal rendelkezünk és amelyről aztán azt gondoljuk, hogy dehát mit ér ez a világ nagy problémáihoz képest, azért ne legyen kétségünk, hogy akármit is csinálnunk teljes figyelemmel és odaadással, az a mindenkori full potenciálunk. És kb. semi sincs amit éppen aktuálisan többet tudunk tenni a világ helyzetéért. Get into your flow state and save the wold. vagy whatever. Do it for fun really.
Na de ezt az egészet azért mondtam el, mert hogy van ez a kapcsolódásom a terekkel. Mióta egyre jobban ismerem magam és hogy mit szeretek csinálni és akarok csinálni. Aminek egy része a fent említett alkotási folyamat és közösségi programok. Azóta persze ilyenebb szemmel választom meg hogy éppen hova költözök. Ennek volt az egyik vetülete a közösségi házas, vagy másnéven co-living, co-housing projektek. 
Mert ha már ebben az alkotó állapotban törekszem lenni és ezt az életmódot élem, akkor nem logikus, hogy olyan emberekkel élem az életem, akik hasonlóban vannak és egymást erősítjük a jelenlétünkkel?! Szerintem de. És ez be is bizonyosodott, amikor Budakalászon egy nagy családi házban laktunk együtt barátokkal. Ahol folyamatosan mentek a brainstormingok, az éjszakába nyúló beszélgetések és a közös projekteken való közös munka. Ráadásul mindig volt nálunk valaki, aki emelte a hely fényét és új színt és hangot hozott be, a már így se unalmas és hétköznapi terünkbe. Emlékszem, hogy a beköltözés után milyen sebességgel újult és tisztult meg a tér. Nagyon érdekes figyelni, ahogy új emberek kerülnek be egy egy helyre, hogy milyen hatással vannak. Én magamon azt vettem észre, hogy amint betettem a lábam elkezdek takarítani és átrendezni a teret. Ez elment egy olyan szintre, hogy már ki is füstölöm a teret palo santoval meg füstölővel, de ez már egy másik téma :P (19:19 ahogy most épp az órára pillantok )
Ez viszont megint egy érdekes otthonról hozott dolog. Mert gyerekkoromban azt figyeltem meg, hogy anyukámnak voltak ilyen napjai, amikor betett valami zenét vagy bekapcsolta a rádiót és átment takarítós üzemmódba és akkor a fél nap azzal ment el hogy kitakarított. Én ezeket akkor nem annyira szerettem, mert általában szellőztetett közben és én meg fáztam :D meg hát némi felfordulással is járt. De érdekes módon ez felnőtt koromban nálam is bekapcsolt és nekem is vannak ilyen napjaim. Sőt, ezt ilyen mentális egészség megőrző céllal is szoktam folytatni, mert mire kitakarítok és rendet rakok, addigra bennem is rend lesz és kitisztulok lelkileg. Szokás mondani, hogy ha bent rend van ,akkor az ember kint sem tűri a rendetlenséget. De jó hír, hogy ez fordítva is igaz, és a belső rendrakását egy külső, azaz lakás vagy ház rendbetétellel is lehet kezdeni. Működni fog mert analóg. 
Szóval van ez a takarítós rendrakós rituálém, aminek része az is hogy mindent lepakolok és kipakolok, és rendszerezek, és szortírozok, mert a minimalizmusból az megmaradt nekem ,hogy törekedjek az egyre kevesebb holmira. Nem vagyok annyira radikális mint a hard core minimalisták, akik a 30 napos kihívás során az első nap egy dolgot dobnak, ki a második nap kettőt, a harmadik nap hármat, és így tovább a 30. napig. Nekem nem is lenne már ennyi holmim, amitől megszabaduljak. Ezt. talán inkább olyan átlag amerikai családoknak lehet hasznos ahol egy indokolatlanul nagy házat megtöltenek cuccokkal, aztán amikor már nem férnek el akkor vesznek egy nagyobb házat, hogy legyen helye az újabb cuccoknak. De azért folyamatosan felülvizsgálom, hogy a jelenlegi dolgaim kellenek-e. Erre vannak is ilyen kis irányelvek, hogy pl. ha valami 20 dollárnál olcsóbb vagy 20 percnél kevesebb idő beszerezni, akkor nem feltétlenül szükséges otthon taratani. Ez nekem sok apróságtól segített megszabadítani, amelyek a “majd jó lesz az még valamire “ fiókban voltak. Ilyenek tipikusan a töltőkábelek, amelyekhez már nincs is az adott eszköz, de hát most miért dobjam ki, nem? 
Na és akkor elkezdem átrendezni a berendezést, mert érzem, hogy nem így lesz nekem jó. Nem így praktikus, nem így életszerű és nem így szolgál a legjobban. Általában úgy indul, hogy csak ezt az egy asztalt arrébb tolom. De aztán kiderül, hogy akkor már a szekrény is mehet. De akkor meg hol lesz az ágy? És végül egy teljesen új térben vagyunk. Akkor meg már ki lett takarítva a bútorok mögött, és kicsit beillatosítva, és kész is az új tér. Amiben meg új energiák lesznek, más mozdulatokat teszünk, máshogy érezzük magunkat, más döntéseket hozunk, és kicsit megváltozik az életünk. Minthogy a mikro környeztünk végülis a makro környezetünk leképzése. És mint a takarítós példánál, itt is reverzibilis a folyamat, tehát mindegy hol kezdem a világ megváltoztatását, ha a kisszobában, akkor is kifejti a hatását :D
Aztán van az a pont, amikor úgy érződik, hogy egy helyből kihoztam a maximumot. Ennek néha térbeli, néha pedig emberi okai vannak. De lehet hogy ez csak a térfelhangoló sámánokra igaz. Ilyenkor én odébbállok. Úgy érzem, hogy a dolgom elvégeztetett, és vár a következő felhangolandó tér. Én meg megyek mint egy jó szolga. The Space Monk. 
Így kerültünk Szentendrére, ami egy upgradnek számított Budakalászhoz képest. Ez már egy 12 apartmanból álló ház volt, aminek nagyon jó adottságai voltak co-living közösség számára. Akik közül ráadásul többen is segítői, programtartói életmódot élnek és jól jön nekik ha ehhez van egyrészt tér, másrészt pedig hasonszőrű társak, akiknek a társaságában mindig jobban éreztük magunkat. Már csak azért is, mert folyamatos volt az inspiráció. Képzeld el, hogy folyamatosan 8-10 hasonló gondolkodású ember van veled egy térben és lépten nyomon összefutsz velük a lépcsőházban, a kertben vagy a közös konyhában. Ott csak felteszel egy kérdést, vagy megkérdezed, “hogyvagy” és máris egy másfélórás mindfuckology loopba kerültök, ami a mentális Narnián át több dimenziót érintve egy kreatív feketelyukba vezet, ahonnan sikeresen visszatérve mind a ketten úgy köszöntök el, hogy ‘na akkor ezt beadjuk”. Ezek ilyen általános jelenetek voltak. 
Nagyon érdekes volt azt is megfigyelni, hogyan fejlődünk mi magunk is a térrel és hogyan növünk bele. A 3 szintes épület legaljáról egy pici apartmanból indulva, hogyan jutottam egy szinttel feljebb egy nagyobb helyre, ami több lehetőséget adott az alkotásra. És hogyan követtem figyelemmel ezt a többieken is. Érdekes volt látni, hogy kik és honnan érkeztek mi célból, és meddig maradtak. Mit adtak hozzá a közöshöz és mit vittek magukkal. Nagyon érzékletes és beszédes volt a folyamat. 
És hogy hogyan és miért ért véget ez a projekt? Ez esetben az emberi tényező volt az erősebb. Az ingatlan tulajdonos elképzelései nem egyeztek a közösséggel és az útjaink szétváltak. De valami megmaradt. Bennem a felismerése annak, hogy vándorként haladok és keresem az újabb izgalmas tereket, amiket először belakhatok, aztán pedig ennek mentén felhangolhatok. Olyan mintha a jelenlétemmel szétáradna az az energia, ami én vagyok. Ez a jobbító, upcycling, dekoráló, ráérző, berendező, átalakító, gyorsító flowsító, kivilágosító, ideális funkcióra és elrendezésre ráérző (g)energia hatna a térre. És hat is. Így lesz 7. Mert ugye a hetedik Te magad légy. 
Szóval ezzel a lendülettel haladok most tovább. Tegnap pedig megnéztem az új helyet, ami szintén egy felújításra vár és ahogy beléptem éreztem, hogy ájjj nem hiába rakosgattam össze az elmúlt hetekben azt a pinterest táblát, amiben az a kép is van, amivel most ezt a posztot megoszottam. Mert én már tudtam előre. A tér már kommunikált velem, mielőtt találkoztunk. Hiszen nincs idő. Csak a tudat és annak korlátlan teremtő ereje. Valószínűleg ezért van az is ,hogy bizonyos dolgok csak később nyernek értelmet. Pl. az hogy miét olvasgattam indokolatlanul Feng shui könyveket 13 évesen, amikor művészeti suliba jártam. Hogy ott miért rajzoltam órákon át, miközben művtöri előadásokat hallgattam , és hogy mi a jelentősége a szecessziós csigazáznak, amire csillagos ötöst kaptam. Biztosan ezért bújtam az IKEA katalógusokat és építettem házakat a Simsben egész hétvégéken át gimis koromban. Valószínűleg már akkor is éreztem ezt a hívást ezt a vonzódást, amikor még nem állt össze a kép, amikor még intellektuálisan nem teljesen értettem a miértet és az összefüggéseket. Nos, a fent említett területek közötti összefüggés az én vagyok. Ez az én pedig folyamatosan tágul és egyre több mindent magába foglal. Nem csak az otthonos és funkcionálisan esztétikus terek szeretetét és vonzalmát. Hanem a spirituális töltetű közösségi alkotó terek meghittségének megoldási lehetőségeit is.
Mert lakni minadnnyiunknak kell valahol. Ráadásul a munkát, a szabadidőt, a baráti találkozásokat is terekben töltjük el, amikor csak nem a szabadban vagyunk. Így hát egyáltalán nem mindegy hogy azok a terek milyen terek. Ezt érettem meg amikor megismertem a dánok meghittségről alkotott fogalmát a Hygge-t. Nekem nem kellett magyarázni vagy eladni a koncepciót. Úgy éreztem hogy “navégre”. Vagy norvégre :D Mert mi lehet fontosabb és önazonosabb egy rák jegyű térfelhangolónak, mint a. cozy vibes. Ha van érték, akkor nekem az amikor egy nagyon jó táraságban flow élményű időt töltünk, egy szép és otthonos környezetben, ahol pusztán csak lenni is gyógyító. Ilyen terek létrehozása az egyik fő célom és mozgatórugóm. Éltető energia van ezekben a terekben és az alkotásukban különösen.

They say the designer is a planner with an aesthetic sense. Hát igen. és a szálak összekötőjeként nem is nagyon tudok nemesebb kihívást, mint úgy összerakni a komponenseket hogy azok olyan egyedi és odaillő alkotásokat teremtsenek mint ezek a meghitt és gyönyörű közösségi terek. 
Utakat török.
Szóval ez a következő fejezet és nem csak a költözésem szempontjából hanem az építkezésem, az önfejlesztésem, a valamivé válásom útján is. Ilyen életvitelszerű dizájnerség. Hogy a létem mentén teremtem a tereket. Otthagyom a lenyomatát annak, ami inspirál és megyek a következőre. Mert ha folyamatosan váltogatok is  és nem állapodok meg egy helyen, azért abból még lehet karriert csinálni, hogy csapongok, nem? Legalábbis ha amit hátrahagyok azok jobb, mint ahogyan találtam. Erre azért csak lehet adni egy fél pontot :P
