Welcome to the new year Starchasers! Hopefully your holidays have been filled with lego trains and fat cats. We've got a new demo out, featuring lots of features related to the underbelly of Underspace. If you're up for chasing storms or down for smuggling smut, we've got you covered. 

Head out into the Rhetus to find a few new opportunities waiting for you...

KNOWN ISSUES

Interior models for ships, stations, and planets, are currently untextured or unimplemented.

Voice acting is currently unimplemented.

Painting maps for ships may be missing.

Joystick and controller support vestigial and more or less not implemented and having a controller plugged in can introduce weirdness.

In-game manual currently lacks most features.

Ambient stormtrackers might sometimes fly through Agganite Station. Again. How lovely.

A lot of elements such as the mission system, music system, and options menu have been refactored. There may be bugs here.

NEW CONTENT & FEATURES

Total overhaul of the game’s music and radio system. You can now implement custom music to play in various situations.

Overhaul of the game’s options menu to read better and work better.

Storms are more aggressive and have their minibosses finally implemented. Storms in the demo in particular move and surge much faster, so you’ll be able to finally experience these things in full.

Starchasers, your fellow adventurer-stormchasers, can all now be found in storms. They’ll follow you around and help you fight strom bosses, provided you can find them.

Large ships such as battleships and bosses now have proper loadouts. Beware their missile turrets and beam cannons!

Total overhaul of the game’s mission system. Right now you won’t see too much difference, but this allows for branching

Added smuggling circles to systems. You can take special criminal and smuggling missions here, as well as talk to the bartender to get your reputation adjusted…

CHANGES & BUGFIXES

Fixed an infinite exp exploit, don’t think I didn’t see you.

Fixed issues where some minibosses wouldn’t die.

Fixed issues relating to storms and followers therein.

Adjusted effects in storms to be larger, more animated, and generally have more clarity but also more oomph.

Rebalanced some lower level weapons to work better.

Fixed issue where ship engine sounds were not tied to the ship engine volume control.

Fixed issues where the lead pip was still a little inaccurate.
