Something borrowed but true.... The “Go Cut the Grass” Diet… I used to say this stuff every couple of weeks. Are you Guilty of saying this stuff too?? “I just need to diet for a while to slim down…”Or “It’s time to diet for summer…” Or "I gotta just lose 20 before vacation…” I hear it all the time... & I was the guiltiest of the guilty... Always on the up, down, up, down dieting rollercoaster. I would try to lose a certain amount of weight in a certain amount of time… I would start to make progress then wouldn’t make the goal or the deadline, Then would go back to my unhealthy habits…Then a couple weeks later I would set the next deadline …& I would just continue on this vicious cycle of losing and gaining ... Never knowing that there was a way to GET OFF this dreaded ride! Then I heard this quote: “You must create success & maintain it. You can’t cut the grass once & have longterm success. You must work on it regularly to maintain it.” That right there was my AH HA! Moment. I thought - I can’t just lose a little and then give up because I didn’t reach the goal or deadline & then slide back to worse than where I began….I have to make progress as far as I can and then maintain it… Then make more progress & maintain it… Then make MORE progress & maintain it… This is the key to living a longterm healthy lifestyle instead of a life on the “Diet Rollercoaster” Trust me, You will be Way More SANE this way… Quit Starting, progressing, and stopping, & START focusing on starting, progressing, maintaining! #healthcoach #healthyliving #progress #maintain #weightloss #itsnotadiet #healthandwellness #bettertogether #structuredplan #healthyhabits #ReadyWhenYouAre
