Oriya fiction actor Jyoti Ranjan Nayak is an Oriya film actor.

She made her acting debut in Oriya fiction in 2016. Jyoti acted as the protagonist of the Oriya short story Mitha Mitha after winning the program, which was organized by Srikant Gautam and won the Mitha Mitha duo, but the film was delayed in its release. Jyoti's first release in the world of Oriya fiction was Dele Dhara Katha Sur. He later starred in films like Nijhum Raati Saathi, Dil Ka Raja, Tu Mo Hiro.

Early life-- Jyoti Ranjan was studying engineering in Chennai. During this time he tried to act in Tamil films but was unsuccessful.

Acting life-- Jyoti Ranjan was selected to work in a Tamil film while studying engineering in Chennai, but dropped out of the film as he did not speak Tamil. Later, when he came to Odisha, he participated in and won the Colors Oriya program Sweet Sweets. The Oriya short story Mitha Mitha was made with the winning couple at the event. The film was directed by Srikkanth Gautam. The film stars Jyoti's co-stars Ankita, Sambhav, Shraddha, Rajesh and Prakriti Mishra. The release of the film was delayed. Three other Oriya short stories have already been released before the film's release.

Jyoti's first release in the world of Oriya fiction was Dele Dhara Katha Sur. The film was directed by Srilendra Mishra. The film stars Jyoti's wife Malvika Banerjee in the lead role. The film stars Jyoti's friends Ajit Das, Mahasweta Roy, Meenakethan, Bobby Mishra, Prithviraj and Priyanka Mohapatra.

During the New Year 2018, Jyoti's nightmare partner was released. The film was directed by Sanjay Nayak. Tamanna played the role of Jyoti's co-star in the film. The film stars Chandan, Satyabrata Tripathi, Premananda Parida, Pallavi, Sonali, Suman and Biju Badjena.

He later starred in Dilip Raja, an Oriya short story directed by Dilip Panda. The film stars Pinky Priyadarshini and Deepika in the lead roles. The film stars Uttam Mohanty, Mihir Das, Pradyumna Lenka and Pappu Pum Pum. The film was released in February. Her first feature film, Mitha Mitha, was released in May.

During Diwali 2017, Jyoti's 5th film Tu Mo Hiro was released. The film was directed by Dilip Panda. Jhilik Bhattacharya played the role of Jyoti's heroine in the film. The film stars Jyoti's actors Subashish Sharma, Mihir Das and Saroj Das.

In January 2018, Elena Samantara played the role of Jyoti's co-star in Tarang Cine Production's Happy Lucky. The film also stars actor Sambit Acharya and newcomer Sasmita Piyali Sahu in the lead roles. The film was directed by Sudhanshu Mohan Sahu. The film stars Mihir Das, Bobby Mishra, Pradyumna Lenka, Prithviraj Nayak and Chowdhury Vikas Das. Jyoti Jhilik's starring role in the film Ole Ole Dil Bole, which was released during the 2016 summer solstice. The film was directed by Kailash Mohapatra.

Then, on November 23 of that year, Jyoti's two feature films, Tu Feria and Pyaar, were released on the same day.

SAC Meeting : Here’s Complete list of Important decision taken

SRINAGAR: Governor, Satya Pal Malik chaired the meeting of the State Administrative Council (SAC) at Raj Bhavan Srinagar on Wednesday. The SAC deliberated upon the various proposals submitted by Administrative departments for its consideration and approval. SAC approves promotion of IAS officers The State Administrative Council approves the promotion of IAS officers of 1987, 1988 & 1989 batches to the Apex Scale. There are 02 officers of 1987 batch, 02 officers of 1988 batch & 02 officers of 1989 batch allotted to J&K cadre. SAC approved the promotion of Pardip Kumar Tripathi, IAS (JK:1987), Sudhanshu Panday, IAS (JK:1987), Sundeep Kumar Nayak, IAS (JK:1988) and Arun Kumar Mehta, IAS (JK:1988), Atal Dulloo, IAS (JK:1989) & Umang Narula, IAS (JK:1989) to Apex Scale w.e.f 01.02.2019.  The promotion of the first three officers who are currently on central deputation will be on a proforma basis. The promotions were recommended by the Screening Committee. With these promotions, Arun Kumar Mehta, IAS (JK:1988) & Atal Dulloo, IAS (JK:1989) will be now Financial Commissioners in their respective departments. Umang Narula, IAS (JK:1989) will be as Financial Commissioner with Governor. Way paved for filling-up of 400 posts of Veterinary Pharmacists/Stock Assistants The SAC has approved re-designation of 400 posts of Paravets as Veterinary Pharmacists/Stock Assistants in the Animal/Sheep Husbandry Departments which were created in September 2018. In order to provide healthcare facilities to the livestock in the State, these 400 posts of Paravets were created by the SAC for the Animal/Sheep Husbandry Departments. Since the posts of Paravets did not exist in these departments as per rules, a need was felt to re-designate these posts to ensure early recruitment against these posts. Out of the 400 posts, 220 posts have been re-designated as Veterinary Pharmacists in the Animal Husbandry Department and 180 posts as Stock Assistants in the Sheep Husbandry Department. Out of these posts, 218 posts falling under direct quota (110 Veterinary Pharmacists and 108 Stock Assistants) shall be referred to the Services Selection Board for recruitment under SRO-202 of 2015. The remaining 182 posts (110 Veterinary Pharmacists and 72 posts of Stock Assistants) will be filled-up from the departmental hands in accordance with promotion rules. The decision will serve the twin objective (i) help to induct fresh talent in the Animal/Sheep Husbandry Departments and (ii) address promotion issues of the department. Fast tracking of family disputes – SAC approves 2 Courts The SAC has approved the establishment of two Family Courts, one each at Jammu and Srinagar in the first phase along with the creation of 29 posts of various categories for each Court. The establishment of Family Courts will help to promote conciliation in, and secure speedy settlement of, disputes relating to marriage and family affairs and for matters connected thereto. Pertinent to mention that the Jammu and Kashmir Family Courts, Act has been enacted in the State in November, 2018. The Hon’ble High Court processed a proposal for the establishment of three Courts in Jammu and three Courts in Srinagar and one each in rest of the districts with supporting staff. There is a pendency of around 12,000 cases relating to family disputes in different courts of the State. Out of these cases, 3,768 cases are pending in Jammu district and 1,431 cases in Srinagar district. The newly established Courts shall be able to fast pace the cases to provide timely justice to the people. The posts approved for the Family Courts include District Judges, Principal Counselor, Counselors, Section Officer, Data Entry Operator, Superintendent Witness Assistance, Superintendent Witness Mediation, Superintendent for Legal Aid, Nazir, Reader, Copyist, Driver, Jamadar, Sweeper, Chowkidar and posts of Senior Scale Stenographer, Ahlimad, Orderlies for Assistance,  Orderlies for Mediation and Orderlies for Legal Aid and posts of Orderlies at Jammu and Srinagar. Benefit of time bound promotion extended to Homeopathic Medical Officers The SAC has approved Time Bound Promotion scheme for Homeopathic Medical Officers on the pattern of Allopathic and Ayurvedic/Unani doctors. It is noteworthy to mention that the Time Bound Promotion scheme is available to Allopathic/Ayurvedic and ISM doctors. The cadre of Homeopathic Medical Officers has been created in 2006 with the creation of 30 posts of Medical Officers, two posts in each District Hospital and one post each for Government Medical College, Srinagar/Jammu. Proposal of the Health & Medical Education Department for the introduction of Time Bound Promotion Scheme for the Medical Officers of Homeopathy in the Department of Indian System of Medicines is on the analogy of Medical Officers, Ayurveda/Unani. With the extension of Time Bound Promotion to the Medical Officers of Homeopathy, 16 Medical Officers recruited in 2007 will be entitled to first time bound promotion notionally w.e.f. 01.01.2019 and regularly from 01.04.2019.  The time bound promotion will be purely a monetary incentive without any linkage to the seniority. In view of the above, the petitioners were provided appointment on the post of Shiksha Mitra on contractual basis on the fixed honorarium of Rs. 10,000/-. Thus, challenge of the same Government Order, whereby they were provided engagement on the post of Shiksha Mitra, is not permissible in law. The petitioners have challenged the vires of the Government Order dated 20.9.2017 whereby the State Government resolved to reinstate the Shiksha Mitra in the entire State in Primary Schools run and managed by the Board of Basic Education. The Shiksha Mitra appointed under the aforesaid Government Order are entitled for the payment of honorarium of Rs. 10,000/- per month. Submission of learned counsel for the petitioners is that the petitioners are Shiksha Mitra having graduation degree with training qualification, therefore,� they are entitled to get salary of Rs. 38878/- and to continue for the period of 12 months as per the Minutes of Meeting approved on 22nd April, 2016 by the respondents. His next submission is that in illegal and arbitrary manner, the Shiksha Mitra, who are having qualification of Intermediate have also been given same pay scale as has been provided to the petitioners which are arbitrary and discriminatory in nature. His next submission is that the meeting dated 22nd April, 2016 is the meeting of the Central Government, which provided aid under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, wherein Shiksha Mitra are appointed by the State of U.P. in the primary schools, up to the level of 65%, therefore, minutes of meeting are binding upon the State Government. Per contra, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents submits that the writ petition is misconceived writ petition. The Government Order dated 20.9.2017 was issued in compliance of the judgement of Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of State of U.P. and other Vs. Anand Kumar Yadav passed in Special Leave Petition (Civil) No. 32599 of 2015 decided on 25.7.2017 thus does not require interference by this Court. His next submission is that the petitioners are granted appointment under the aforesaid Government Order, therefore, the petitioners have no right to challenge the Government Order dated 20.9.2017 in entirety. The salary which are being demanded by the petitioners are not admissible to the Shiksha Mitra appointed under the scheme of the Government on contractual basis on a fixed honorarium, after declaration of the absorption of Shisha Mitra to be illegal being de-hors the rules. Next submission of learned counsel for the respondents is that the claim of the petitioners for the payment of honorarium of Rs. 38878/- is not permissible in law. Thus, the writ petition being misconceived is liable to be dismissed. After having heard the rival contentions of the learned counsel for the parties I perused the record of the writ petition. The petitioners are Shiksha Mitra working in the different primary schools of District Basti. The petitioners without examining the judgement passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Special Leave Petition (Civil) No. 32599 of 2015 (State of U.P. and other Vs. Anand Kumar Yadav) decided on 25.7.2017 have proceeded to challenge the Government Order dated 20.9.2018. The Government Order dated 20.9.2017 has been issued in compliance of the judgement passed by Hon'ble Supreme Court giving appointment to them on sympathetic ground by the State Government. Paragraph 25 and 26 of the judgement dated 25.7.2017 are quoted herein below :- "25. On the one hand, we have the claim of 1.78 Lakhs persons to be regularized in violation of law, on the other hand is the duty to uphold the rule of law and also to have regard to the right of children in the age of 6 to 14 years to receive quality education from duly qualified teachers. Thus, even if for a stop gap arrangement teaching may be by unqualified teachers, qualified teachers have to be ultimately appointed. It may be permissible to give some weightage to the experience of Shiksha Mitras or some age relaxation may be possible, mandatory qualifications cannot be dispensed with. Regularization of Shiksha Mitras as teachers was not permissible. In view of this legal position, our answers are obvious. We do not find any error in the view taken by the High Court. 26. Question now is whether in absence of any right in favour of Shiksha Mitras, they are entitled to any other relief or preference. In the peculiar fact situation, they ought to be given opportunity to be considered for recruitment if they have acquired or they now acquire the requisite qualification in terms of advertisements for recruitment for next two consecutive recruitments. They may also be given suitable age relaxation and some weightage for their experience as may be decided by the concerned authority. Till they avail of this opportunity, the State is at liberty to continue them as Shiksha Mitras on same terms on which they were working prior to their absorption, if the State so decides." The Hon'ble Supreme Court in the judgement referred herein above considered each and every aspect of the matter and has held that the absorption of the Shiksha Mitra in the State of Uttar Pradesh is in violation of law. The provisions contained under the right to free and compulsory education of the children in the age of 6 to 14 years to receive the quality of education and appointment of qualified teachers is to be take care of by the State machinery. Thus, even if for a staff gap arrangement teaching is imparted by unqualified teachers, the purpose of Right To Free And Compulsory Education Act, 2009 amended under Article 29(A) of the Constitution of India shall not be served.� Thereafter, on the facts and circumstances direction was issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court to give opportunity for consideration of recruitment, if they have acquired or they now acquire the requisite qualification or in terms of advertisement for recruitment some age relaxation and waightage for their experience be provided for next two consecutive recruitment. In view of the above, the petitioners were provided appointment on the post of Shiksha Mitra on contractual basis on the fixed honorarium of Rs. 10,000/-. Thus, challenge of the same Government Order, whereby they were provided engagement on the post of Shiksha Mitra, is not permissible in law. Humari Bahu Silk actor Zaan Khan recently revealed that his co-star Chahat Pandey tried to commit suicide due to non-payment of dues by the producers.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Zaan showed his angst against the producers’ negligence and unethical behaviour towards the crew. He also revealed that due to the producers not paying up on time, Chahat Pandey, who played his on-screen wife Pakhi, tried to commit suicide.

He said, “Chahat had actually attempted to commit suicide, but it was her mother who came to her rescue. Her mother stopped her from taking the drastic step. She has struggled a lot to be an actress, this money means a lot to her. It is the first time that she has earned such a big amount, but to her sheer bad luck, she is deprived of this also. She is the sole earning member in her family, her father is no more, and she has two small Brothers and a mother to look after.”

Zaan added, “I’ve been receiving calls from my crew members, asking for help. They are asking me to talk to the producers and help them get their money back. We all have put in our hearts and souls during those 8 months of shooting, setting dada, spot dada, and others’ are crying and pleading on calls just to get their own money back.”

The actor seems to be on his last resource of patience, “We have given the producers enough time, we waited for 6 months patiently, but they don’t want to pay any heed. They just don’t give a ‘f**k’ about people’s lives anymore.”

On this, Chahat has refuted this and said that it has been a misunderstanding. As per a report in SpotboyE, Chahat said, “Actually, one day my mother was very angry and we were having a discussion in a group call about this issue. And she just said, ‘Agar meri beti ne kuch ulta seedha kar liya toh kaun zimedar hoga. I think that must have led to the confusion. But ab paani sar ke uppar se jaa chuka hai, sab ki haalat kharab hai. Main nahi chahti koi bhi aaisa galat kadam uthaaye.”

Chahat Pandey tried to commit suicide

Presenting his side of the story, producer Jyoti said that in fact, he is the victim as all the blame has been shifted on to him.

In a statement via Times of India, Gupta said, “I, from Silver Ivory Productions, was the Line Producer of ‘HAMARI BAHU SILK’. The main producers of the show were Klay Picture LLP helmed by Devyani Rale and Sudhanshu Tripathi along with ZEE. I was made part of the Show much at a later stage, before me there was Global Productions owned by Mr. Sohaib Hassan who were responsible for the line production of the Show. Global was also associated with the Show because it was investing money as well with Klay. It is a shame that we are to see this day where conveniently all the blame has shifted onto me when all I have done is everything in the best of my capacity to assist, run and continue with the shoot with the limited resources and in such chaotic situations.”

Gupta further added,“Klay had not handed over the show completely to me as reported in media; they were very much the producer of the show all along, my role was limited to managing the execution work that is all.”

Stating that Zee was not happy the way Klay handled the show, Gupta said, “After that they (Zee) stopped releasing the payment to Klay from October end thus, stopping any payment due to me too. The reason seems to be the breach committed by Klay by not informing ZEE officially about our understanding as per the contract of ZEE with Klay. The show went off air in November first week and Klay also disappeared.”

“Today, people are blaming me, mocking me for non-payment despite me giving it all that I could in the position I am. So, I AM ALSO THE VICTIM in the same way as others are. In the end, I just wish and pray that better sense will prevail, and ZEE will release the payment at the earliest,” Gupta concluded.

Humari Bahu Silk aired on ZeeTV last year and was pulled off air in just five months.
