[EN] Yesterday I made it to the beach. I hit my daily 13,000 steps — like I’ve done almost every day for the past five months.

And now comes the puzzler. I’ve gotten used to it. I’ve lost weight. I’m carrying less. And yet — my legs have started to complain. Why now? Why, damn it?

I don’t have an answer. But I feel like something is asking for attention. Maybe rest. Maybe a change of pace. Or maybe it’s just my body saying, “Hey, you’re doing this every day — maybe do it a little differently?”

Not sure if you’re tired of beach photos yet. I have mixed feelings about the place myself. Sometimes it feels like home. Other times, like I’m walking in circles, retracing the same old path. But the beach has one undeniable strength: it’s where I most often encounter wild animals.

Yesterday, for the second time, I crossed paths with a badger. I even have a few blurry shots from my phone. Maybe someday, if we meet again, I’ll have my telephoto lens with me. But honestly? That fleeting moment when you really see it — that’s worth more than any perfect photo.

As for the walk itself — living in Kal doesn’t offer a ton of options. I leave my house and have two choices: the paved road or the dirt path. You can probably guess which one’s more pleasant. The two routes intersect here and there, and you can mix it up a bit, but in the end — if I want to cover around 8 kilometers, it always comes out about the same.

I’d love to change things up. Hop in the car, explore somewhere new. But that takes extra time — and time’s been in short supply lately.

At night, I’m editing photos from a christening. First communions are about to begin. An extra half hour just to get somewhere new? Right now, that’s a luxury I can’t quite afford.

So yeah — I’ll probably keep hitting you with images from the same few places for a bit. But I still believe that even familiar ground can feel new… if you learn to see it with different eyes.

I tu pojawia się zagwozdka. Przyzwyczaiłem się. Schudłem. Niosę mniejszy ciężar. A mimo to — nogi zaczęły się odzywać. Dlaczego właśnie teraz? Dlaczego, kurczę?

Nie mam odpowiedzi. Ale czuję, że coś się domaga uwagi. Może odpoczynku, może zmiany tempa. A może po prostu to organizm mówi „halo, robisz to codziennie — może trochę inaczej?”

Nie wiem, czy macie już dość zdjęć z plaży. Sam mam do niej stosunek ambiwalentny. Czasem czuję się tam jak u siebie. Czasem — jakbym chodził w kółko po tym samym śladzie. Ale to miejsce ma jedną niepodważalną zaletę: właśnie tam najczęściej spotykam dzikie zwierzęta.

Wczoraj po raz drugi spotkałem borsuka. Mam nawet parę niewyraźnych zdjęć z telefonu. Może któregoś dnia, jeśli nasze ścieżki znowu się przetną, będę akurat miał przy sobie teleobiektyw. Choć powiem szczerze — samo spotkanie, to ułamek sekundy, gdy widzisz go naprawdę — daje więcej niż najlepsza fotografia.

Wracając do samej trasy. Mieszkając w Kalu, nie mam wielu opcji. Wychodzę z domu i mam do wyboru dwie ścieżki: jedna prowadzi jezdnią, druga — drogą polną. Nietrudno zgadnąć, która jest przyjemniejsza. Oczywiście te trasy się ze sobą splatają i można tworzyć różne wariacje.

Ale koniec końców — jeśli chcę przejść około 8 kilometrów, to i tak wychodzi mniej więcej to samo. Chciałbym urozmaicić swoje spacery. Wsiąść w samochód, pojechać gdzieś dalej. Tylko że to dodatkowy czas. A z nim u mnie ostatnio krucho.

Nocami obrabiam zdjęcia z chrzcin. Zaraz ruszają komunie. Dodatkowe pół godziny na dojazd? Brzmi jak luksus, na który chwilowo nie mogę sobie pozwolić.

Więc tak — przez jakiś czas jeszcze pomęczę was kadrami z tych samych okolic. Ale mam nadzieję, że nawet dobrze znane miejsca da się pokazać na nowo, gdy spojrzy się na nie innym okiem.
