5. FIRST DATES
WARNING: MATURE CONTENT

"HOW'S this look?"
Carson stepped out of her room, to show off her date fit. Her hairless legs were the first thing that caught Keelie's attention, her fine v-neck strappy rose-coloured dress was the second. The material accentuated her curves, her stud earrings and cross necklace were perfect accessories. Her relaxed hair was brushed and slicked up in a bun.
She wanted her makeup to look as natural as possible even though glitter coated her eyelids and she had on more lipgloss than usual.
"You lookin' to get some tonight right, how long has it been?" Keelie finally said after picking up her jaw from the wooden floor.
"Shut up," Carson denied, despite wearing her favourite and most scandalous lingerie beneath the dress. "Just 'cause you gotta girl you wanna mock me." She murmured, picking up her sandal heels.
"But for real, you look fine. He's gonna have a heart attack," Keelie cackled, amusing her friend.
Carson winked, "Not before he gives me some."
"I know that's right."
"Where's takin' you?" Keelie questioned, sitting down on the sofa, trying to get all comfy for her night in.
"Cha Cha Cha."
"Cute, he payin'?" She instantly received a deadpan look from Carson, who picked up a bag that matched her shoes.
"I wouldn't be goin' if he weren't. Please I've messed with broke boys before, never again. Brian has a car, money... well as much as me and is easy on the eyes," Carson listed, adjusting her dress.
"But that name..." Keelie said wincing.
Neither of them was the biggest fan but oh well.
"I know, but pet names exist," Carson joked, rolling back her shoulders.
"Thank God, imagine moanin' Bri –" A knock at the door cut off Keelie. "Speak of the blonde devil and he appears at our door."
Carson calmly shuffled over to the door, ignoring her friend's giggling and pulled it open, revealing a beaming Brian whose smile only widened when he saw her.
His eyes dragged from her stunning face to her shoes.
"Like it," Carson showed off her fit, whilst holding onto the door.
"Do I like it?" He gushed, "Shit, it's better than I dreamt."
"You were dreamin' about me? Do I live in your head rent-free?" She flirted, allowing him to come into the house but his hand caught hers on the way in and didn't let go.
"Maybe."
She bit down on her lip, "Maybe huh?."
Keelie gagged from the sofa, though, couldn't help but think they looked very good together. His simple yet effective style complemented the pink that always clung to Carson.
"Eww, get out already, I have a Project Runway marathon to watch," she feigned disgust, turned away and picked up the remote.
Brian didn't even mean to ignore Keelie but his girl — correction Carson, was right there. He nodded at the spunky girl who mockingly smiled at him.
Carson called out behind her, "Call Mia or somethin'."
Keelie groaned, "Have a nice night, look after my girl Ben Affleck, and wear protection!"
__
Once they got to the restaurant, Brain pushed in her chair, then rounded the table and sat opposite her. They each ordered their food and sipped on their drinks, waiting for it to come. The place seemed to be busy and booming but the paid paid no mind to the noise, the way they lived prepared them enough.
"So how is it, anyways that the — the gang came to be?" Brian asked, wanting to know more about them.
Of course, he wanted to learn Carson, he was already captivated by how she carried herself, how she spoke, laughed and pretty much everything else. Even on the drive over she teased him, pretending to grab the clutch when he was busy being distracted by her beauty. Usually, he was a focused guy but around her... it was different.
"The what?" Carson let out a laugh as she took another sip of her water.
His brows furrowed, "The gang."
"The gang? No, we don't call ourselves a gang."
He leaned forward, "Well, what do you call yourselves then?"
"We're a team. They call themselves a team. Well, I'm sure you've heard me say crew, but just say team."
Brian leaned forward on his elbows, "All right, so how is it that the team came to be?"
"It's a long story."
"I've got time." A smile burst onto his face, waiting for her to tell the story.
Carson sucked in a deep breath, "Well, I never knew my mom. My dad raised me before he got sick..." she trailed off, always finding it hard to talk about her father's illness.
"Hey, you don't have to go on," he gently grabbed her hand from across the table, making her heart flutter.
He reassured her and so she slightly changed the topic.
"My dad spent years workin' at F1 for a while before meetin' Jack Toretto."
His eyes comically widened, "Damn, F1?"
She nodded along, "Yeah, he kept a few things, the toy cars and all that, but most importantly all the skills he learnt stayed with him. He helped Jack with a few things, whilst I was teethin' in the garage. The Toretto siblings looked out for me."
"So they're your family," Brian never realized how close she was to them, it made him think.
"Exactly, since I was in diapers, explains why my Dad made theirs my godfather, vice versa."
"What about Vince? You're close with him right?" Brian went on to ask, only letting go of her hand when their starters were placed on the table.
He missed the feeling, so did Carson, but they had to eat at some point.
"He and Dom were childhood friends. So he saw me like a little sister," she explained and caught the scepticism flash through his sparkly eyes.
"Just a little sister?" He pressed, picking up some plantain from his small plate.
"Yes, just a little sister," she repeated, but it was clear Brian was highly cautious around Vince, "Letty was a different story. We were friends before she caught Dom's attention. She was always into cars. Ever since she was, like, 10 years old. So naturally, you know, Dom always had her attention. And when she turned 16..."
"...She had Dom's attention." Brian finished her sentence and took a sip of his drink.
"Yep," Carson had to look away from him for a second, his smile had her weak in the knees.
It was a good thing she sat down.
Brian asked after chewing on another piece of plantain, "How is it that Jesse fits into the whole thing?"
"Jesse?" Carson repeated, smiling toward the waitress who placed the rest of their food on the table. Brian could see how happy she was with the food. "Well, Jesse and Leon just sort of showed up one night and never left. Like little weeds. Don't get me wrong, I love them. Jesse's like my annoying older brother and Leon is like that cousin who appears everywhere."
"And Keelie, one of my main tormentors?" He humoured.
She chuckled, "She's like my twin. Only older by a year but she got me through a lot, even got me a job at the salon straight outta graduation and let me stay with her."
Brian hummed in acknowledgement, eating his main course, realizing how much Carson had been through even if she didn't say it. Her smile tended to conceal a lot and whether or not it was real, he knew she was a fighter and the team was her family, who fought alongside her.
It made him question a lot.
"So that's your story?" He asked, half of their plates were in their stomachs.
"Yeah, and now it led me to you," she playfully jabbed her forward in his direction.
"Mm-mmm." Brian hummed in disagreement. "No. No." Carson cocked her head to the side, wearing a confused look that he thought was cute, "I think we would've met regardless, would've made sure of it."
She blinked in shock, "You would've?"
"Yeah, Sonny."
The nickname fell from his tongue so effortlessly that she almost missed it.
"Sonny?" Carson repeated, feeling the butterflies in her stomach take flight.
"What, you don't like it?"
Hee face scrunched up her face, doing everything in her power to not look like she was hanging onto his every word but it didn't work.
"It's cute."
"Mmm," he winked at her, then finished most of what was on his plate.
She appreciated he wasn't one of the people who ate with their mouths open or were very messy.
"So what about you, pretty boy? You close with your folks?" She dared to ask, eyes darting to her plate so she missed the alert expression on his face.
"My mom raised me. Dad wasn't really in the picture."
She raised a questioning brow, snapping her gaze back to him, "You didn't know him or...?"
"He would call the cops anytime I came round."
Her eyes doubled in size, shocked to find he looked calm as ever, so she changed the subject.
"Any siblings?"
"None."
She slowly nodded, "That's cool."
Carson noted how short his answers were, but decided not to think about it too much, he's not comfortable talking about his past, she concluded.
"Shit, that reminds me, speaking of families, my dad always wanted to get me some car bling, you know those cartoon sunshine bobble things to hang from the rearview mirror."
"Why don't you get it now?"
"Never know where to find the exact one, and I never have the time," She replied, pursing her lips as ideas popped into his head. The leftover food on his plate got her attention, "You done with your plantain?"
"Yeah, want some?" she nodded, and went to take it but he stabbed his fork into the sweet yet thin delicacy and shook his head, "No, I'll feed it to you," Carson obviously wasn't expecting him to do this. "Open."
After getting over her initial surprise, she ignored the smirk on his face, leaned over and decided to mess with him, by accepting the food, teasing him with a soft moan when she took it in her mouth and even let her eyes flutter for a few seconds.
Brian swallowed the knot in his throat, but that didn't stop the heat from spreading to his cheeks. Fuck, was he flustered, as was she, but she managed to conceal it better.
Carson sensually wiped the corners of her mouth as his fork clattered against his plate.
"Delicious."
Brian sharply exhaled and waved down the waitress, voice coming out a bit squeaky as he exclaimed, "Can we get the bill?!"
__
His mouth captured hers when he pressed her against his living space at Harry's. Their kisses were more passionate than either of them thought, there was a desperate edge to them, needy almost. The drive over to his place was breathtaking, she never felt so safe despite his foot hammering down on the gas pedal.
Carson's gasps and whimpers were music to his ears, only inspiring his hands to move along the flint fabric of her dress and slowly peel it off of her as they stumbled over to his bed, leaving a trail of shoes, her bag, his shirt and pants behind.
Brian's touch was like fresh air, satisfying and she only wanted more. He found every curve, caressing and pinching only drawing more moans from her.
Although neither could see well, the moonlight lit up his bed, showcasing her lingerie, to which he couldn't contain himself any longer.
"Look at me," he demanded, pulling away, resting between her legs, finding the pool of desire he wanted to soak up and consume. Her darkened gaze caught him pulling away her underwear and finding solace between her thighs where he gripped her tighter due to her every moan and kissed after her every gasp. She struggled to keep eye contact but his baby blues were a beacon and his tongue was his tool of pleasure that pulled her closer to her high. He thought that a win was nothing compared to this, not at all. She tugged at his curls, begging for him not to stop and he complied, "God."
It took seconds for her eyes to roll, and her legs to quiver, whilst letting out a silent scream as he stared at her in awe, wishing and needing more from her.
He was relieved of the rest of his clothes as was she, letting her breasts free of the erotic bra and glide against his chest the second he came up to meet her lips again.
She moaned at the taste on his tongue.
"Not bad for a pity date huh?" She playfully groaned at the quip. "You okay?" He wasn't satisfied by her nod, he needed verbal confirmation, "Words."
She shuddered at his demand, "I'm more than okay."
He flashed a smile and looked at her once again. The illuminating moon lit up her brown pools, entrancing him from where he hovered. Just as he was about to take her hands in his, she stopped him.
"No lover boy, get a condom, I swear you wanna trap me, or somethin'."
He licked his lips, still leaning on his arms, "Want me to?"
"Don't — strap up," she practically shoved him away, laughing with him, and although the thought of it was funny, she wasn't ready to be a mom or even sure that she wanted to be one. Brian looked serious after a while, coming back with a condom, he found his place between her legs then he pushed them around his waist as she grabbed onto his biceps. "You good?" She breathlessly questioned after seeing the look in his eyes.
"Have you done — you're not a virgin right?" He cringed at his wording.
She was amused that he was even asking, "No I'm not a virgin."
"I don't wanna hurt you," he mumbled against her lips, ceasing her impending laughter as a warm feeling settled in her chest.
"Oh, well it depends how you put it down," she whispered, and with how he teased her, she couldn't imagine any disappointment. He deeply chuckled at that, glad to receive confirmation and grabbed her hands. With a gentle thrust, Carson sunk further into his bed, consumed by his deep and slow movements, that had her drawing for breath after each moan. "Fuck."
As for first dates, Carson was blown away.

a/n:
soo... the ship has sailed officially. carson was willing to spill everything because she trusts brian, will that come back to bite her in the arse? i mean he was very haste and quick with his answers on the date, it's upsetting because people will call her naive for accepting them but she was being kind.
i think they're so cute and properly one of my fave couples to write out of all my stories.
halfway through the story now. next chapter will be a filler, but i loved writing it. simply exploring her bond with him is just so heartwarming but how do you think it will all play out in the end?

I-πριν (Prologue)
"Evangeline! Get the fuck out here!" Her dad screamed, his voice echoing from the garage that sat outside their house. Eight-year-old Eva scrambled out of the screen door on the back porch, the hinges squeaking like they always did.
The garage was old, and mouldy, and still standing by some god-given miracle. Slowly pushing the side door open, she peered in, finding her father standing over yet another new car. He had already ripped off the old license plate, for reasons Eva didn't understand yet. Her father had the hood propped open, a wrench between his teeth as he adjusted things on the engine.
"Get over here, kid, I need your tiny hands." He spat. Eva scurried over, her sandalled feet dragging on the pavement.
She'd worked on cars with her dad as long as she could remember. He taught her everything she knew, forced her to learn the name and function of every part. She knew how it worked, how to take it apart, and put it back together again. As a side effect, she became an accessory to the biggest underground car market in Hollywood. She didn't know it at the time, but eight-year-old Eva would soon inherit an empire.
Before that, however, she helped her dad boost cars, sell them to the highest bidder, and fix them up as best she could. Her dad didn't particularly want her there, or want her at all, but her small hands were good to fit into places he couldn't reach.
He had a temper, however, and it made it hard for Eva to enjoy the time spent with her father. She looked up to him in a weird, somewhat twisted way, and she respected him no matter how many times he hit her.
That was what she thought, until that day. He called her in to help him, to fetch him beers and do the scut work he didn't want to. He had asked her, in his loud and rumbling voice, to get him a wrench from his toolboxes. It took her longer than he would have liked, and he kept grumbling at her to hurry up.
After waiting for a few minutes, he growled as he stood up, screaming at her slow pace and asking how hard it was to pick up a damn wrench.
Very hard, apparently, as he rounded the corner of the car, seeing his top toolbox drawer open. It was where the wrench had been, he knew that, but the wrench was now on the floor, a few feet away.
His daughter stood between the toolbox, the wrench, and the back of the car. Her pale little shoulders were trembling, her hands shaking violently, and tears streaming down her flushed little cheeks. Silent sobs wracked her small body, and Eva's father turned more, following his daughters gaze to the back of the car.
The wrench had been too heavy for her thin arms, and she'd had to stand on her toes to even reach the drawer. It had been in her hands one second, and on the floor the next, but in between that split second, the wrench had fallen from her hands, slammed on the back of the car, and fallen to the floor.
Where the wrench had landed on the car, now was a large and irreparable dent. The beautiful red paint was marred and scraped off, the metal beneath scratched thoroughly.
Eva knew this meant she would be punished. Her father beat her for simply dropping a screwdriver when she was passing it to him. She couldn't look at him. She didn't watch his face as he stared at the car, the wrench on the floor, and his daughters sobbing body.
She didn't watch as he slowly, methodically stepped forward, picking the wrench off the floor. She didn't watched as he examined it in his hand. She didn't watch as he mimicked the swing it would have taken to make the dent in the car. She didn't watch as he replicated that swing on her.
She didn't watch. Didn't see it happen. She only felt the sharp, cold metal of the wrench rip her face open with the blow. All she felt was the searing pain it left behind.
The doctors said it would leave a scar. They said it had broken her jaw when the wrench "fell" on her. They said she would be okay, even when every part of her wished it wouldn't be. That her father might feel guilty, even a pinch of remorse at his actions.
He never was.
After that, he continued to beat her. When she was thirteen, Eva had enough. She didn't think of the consequences, what might happen to her if she acted on her thoughts, she only ran. She ran away from her home, away from her father, away from that damned car, and away from everything.
Eva had managed to stay away from foster homes and social services, living on the streets for the majority of her life. When she was 17, she met Dominic Toretto.
He had respect for her since the beginning. Inviting her to bounce between his house, his girlfriends house, and his friends houses. He had always treated her like a member of the family, especially with their mutual love for cars. Eva proved her skill and usefulness quickly, helping them fix up cars and driving around for hours all together. They started street racing together. And though he tried, Dom had never been good enough to beat Eva in a race.
"You need a new name." 19-year-old Letty mused as they sat around the picnic table in Dom's backyard.
"Oh, yeah?" Eva asked, taking another bite of the steak Mia had made. She was the best cook out of all of them, and Eva made it known to her constantly.
"Yeah. Eva was your dads name for you. You're our family now." She replied. Dom, Vince, Leon, and Mia all nodded in agreement, and Eva grinned.
"Alright, what's it gonna be?" She asked. They all looked to Dom and he sat back in his chair, seemingly deep in thought. It felt like minutes before his eyes flashed with inspiration and he sat forward. Everyone leaned forward like his words were from the mouth of god, and he folded his hands on the table.
"Welcome to the family, Hermes."

6. HIS AND HERS
WARNING: MATURE CONTENT

"HOW long have you been up?" Carson rasped, rubbing her fluttering eyes to stare up at him.
He shrugged, combing a hand through his messy curls, "Like an hour."
"So you've been watchin' me sleep? Creep."
Brian started laughing but didn't deny a thing. His sheets rested below his navel and reached over her body. Throughout the night, between their kissing and pillow talk, he received a few phone calls. She thought it was suspicious but decided not to question it, instead asking for a shirt to wear and another for her head, to prevent her hair from getting messy. Luckily he did and gave her a grey shirt to conceal her upper half and one to enclasp her relaxed strands. Brian was obsessed with how she looked in his clothes. Even when he woke up, he just admired her sleeping form.
"You looked peaceful, made me think how much I didn't wanna wake up to you."
Carson was blessing her lucky stars that whenever she blushed, it wasn't visible, but her smile exposed the effect his words had over her.
Brian noticed and attempted to kiss her but she pushed him back, "I need to brush my teeth." she whined.
"I don't care," he hushed her, but she didn't relent, gently pushing him away, unintentionally feeling his toned chest, "Alright, but lemme ask you somethin'."
She yawned, "What?"
"Do you regret last night? The date — pity date or whatever you wanna call it — the kiss or the sex?"
Carson immediately shook her head, stunned by the vulnerability in his tone. Brian was always so cocky, shameless, but not now.
"No, I don't regret it," she caught the questioning look in his eyes, "I'm being real pretty boy. I was actually comfortable for once," she let slip and had his full attention, with him leaning closer and eyes hardening, "Most of the time, I feel disconnected, like I'm not in the moment, just trying to focus on other things. I guess I was never comfortable."
"And you were with me?" he had to be sure.
A bashful smile tugged at her lips, "Yeah."
"Good," This time his lips met her forehead.
"Lemme ask you somethin'," he motioned for her to carry on, "Do you have another family? Like your phone was going off like crazy last night."
Brian let out an awkward chuckle, "I don't, I'm a busy guy that's all."
"A busy guy?"
"Next time I'll keep it off for you, so I won't stop you from gettin' your beauty sleep," He promised, smirking down at her.
"You stop me from gettin' my beauty sleep."
The pair started cracking up, Brian loved the ego boast and brought her closer to him, slipping his arm around her neck, so she could face him.
Suddenly a ring from her phone paused their conversation and when she went to lean over to the side table, she received a pointed look.
"What?" she rolled her eyes at him, not bothering to look at the name when she flipped open her phone, "Yo."
"You still out with the buster?" she sighed at Vince's rough voice, knowing it was loud enough for Brian to hear. The blonde was already glaring at her phone.
"You still in my business?"
Vince ignored her question, "Keke blabbed to Mia, who told Letty, she spilt to Dom and, Jesse and Leon overheard the conversation, they obviously told me."
"I get no privacy, I swear," she mumbled, hushing him but that didn't stop Brian from leaning in to hear.
"I'm worried Summer, I think blondie's a Cop."
Carson felt Brian stiffen and saw his face getting meaner.
"You're crazy."
Of course, she valued Vince's opinion but didn't want it to mess up something good.
"I know you trust him, but I'm not pullin' this out of my ass. How much do we know about him?"
She didn't want to think about it, "Enough Vince, just trust me on this."
She heard him huff, "Fine. Love you."
"Love you too"
The line cut and Brian tried to not seem affected when she turned back to him.
She sat up, "Bri –"
He groaned, "He's actin' like I'm gonna hurt you."
"He's family Brian, don't act like that," she couldn't help but get defensive.
"That guy hates me."
"He's being protective," she reiterated, trying to calm him down, but Brian just shook his head.
"He needs to relax."
Carson sighed, "He knows I get attached way too quickly, I can be naive sometimes and it's like other guys know that, and lie to me until I finally wake up. He just doesn't want that to happen again okay?"
She was met with a wordless nod and a look that she couldn't quite decipher.
Brian knew how protective everyone could be over Carson, hell, Dom threatened to break his neck if he broke her heart.
"But Vince got one thing right," she paused, feeling him tense again, "I don't know much about you."
Brian ran his hands over his face, frustrated that Vince was influencing how she viewed him.
"It's not like I don't wanna tell you," he started, voice cutting up slightly, causing her hand to rub slow circles over his lower back, "I wanna tell you, trust me I do, it's just – I've been through shit and I don't talk about it, ever. It doesn't come easy to me as it does you," she slowly nodded at him, but still wasn't sure, "Hey," he grabbed her hands, pressing kisses to them, "I trust you Sonny, but give me time."
"O-okay."
He let out a sigh of relief, and his lips trailed over her arms, some kisses lingered more than others. Neck kisses were his favourite, it drove them both mad.
Carson gasped, when he softly pushed her backwards, hovering over her.
"Oh shit," she giggled, feeling the crescent shapes on his back, she must've put them there the night before, "Sorry."
"Relax, I like it. It's hot, you're markin' your territory," He chuckled at the look on her face.
"My territory?"
"Yeah, now lemme mark you," he groaned when she pushed him back.
"Careful, you're not puttin' nothin' on my neck, maybe somewhere else," she said squinting her eyes, "Don't need more teasin' if the team see anythin' there okay, you went crazy on my twins last night," she motioned to her blotchy chest, making him smirk. "Ain't you tired?"
"No, and you weren't gentle either, pullin' my hair like I have plenty."
"Oh, these permed strands," she taunted, earning a scoff.
"I don't have a perm," he remembered how his childhood friend constantly talked about his hair as if it wasn't natural.
"You're a shitty liar."
"Yeah sure," he scooted off of her, checking the time, realsiing it was only 10 a.m.
"Spilner," Carson called out, checking her nails as he turned back to her, bringing her into a bare hug, making her squeal, "Didn't know you were obsessed with music," she noted his CD collection among the mountains of Harry's car merchandise last night but was drunk off his affection to ask.
"Doesn't everyone love music," he replied, "What's your favourite song?"
She whined, "It's kinda embarrassing."
He shrugged, trailing his hand over her waist, "Can't be worse than mine."
"What's yours?"
"'Everybody wants to rule the world' by Tears for Fears," he confessed and then she burst out laughing. Brain joined in, loving any and every sound she made.
"By that group in England? Damn, it's not a bad song but it's on theme for you," she bopped his nose before he swatted her hand away.
"Wow, screw you, what's yours? You gotta tell me know."
"'Lover, you should've come over' by Jeff Buckley," she mumbled, scrunching up her face when she spoke.
That surprised him, "Wait really?"
"Yeah, dorky right?"
Brian agreed, finding her choice of music precious and how her nose scrunched whenever she felt awkward, adorable.
"Nah, that's a slammin' song my mom was obsessed with him," he blurted, surprised he was telling her more about his background.
"I usually just tell people it's an Aaliyah song, don't get me wrong I love my girl," she gesticulated, "but the way Buckley sings that song just does somethin' to me."
She even had his last album in her car, she would play it whenever she felt down, well that was before her stereo stopped working.
He slowly began to grin, "Oh yeah like what?"
"Make my heart flutter I dunno," she trailed off recognising the look in his eyes as he leaned in.
His nose nudged hers, as his hand caressed her face.
"This makin' your heart flutter?"
Carson wordlessly nodded, letting her lips finally connect with his.
___
Brian eventually took Carson downstairs to Harry's to pick up some new rims and a new Stereo for the car, Jesse said he was gonna help her with some of the mechanics the next day in preparation for Street Wars whilst she bought the paint but wanted to apply it on her own.
After that, they took a detour and went back to her place, luckily she didn't have work on Saturdays and he didn't have to help Dom for another hour or two.
He didn't let go of her hand when they made it back into her apartment and jumped into the shower alongside her, claiming that he wanted to save water.
He left her after 10 minutes and when he entered her room again his eyes wandered around, pink and black themed as expected. Pictures of the team cluttered parts of the walls, some of Keelie and a few of whom he believed to be her dad. He caught the similarities, softly smiling at the framed picture of her when she was a kid looking up at her dad with a toothy smile, she hasn't changed, he thought.
"Still creepin' I see," she said, returning to her room, fully clothed in a fit he couldn't help but lick his lips at. The blonde still had to put his shirt back on but she wasn't complaining.
"You looked cute."
Her grin faltered for a second, seeing what was in his hands but she recovered quickly, "Well it's me what do you expect?"
Brian put the frame down and approached her, "You look beautiful."
He checked her out a couple of times, before kissing her.
"We should go, do somethin' before you leave," Carson went to take his hand but he latched him onto her exposed waist.
"Baby, I think we should relax for a second," he said lowly, pulling her to his chest. "Just like we did in the shower."
She was cheesing like crazy. "You callin' me baby now?"
"Get used to it," he grinned, "So what do you say? Wanna relax?"
"Only for 20 minutes," she squealed when he untied her bandana tee, letting it fall to the floor.
His tongue swiped against his mouth, "30."
Carson breathlessly agreed, "30."
They didn't leave her room for an hour and when they did they met with an annoyed Keelie who was in the living room glaring at the pair... couple? Who knew?
"Shit I didn't know you were home," Carson neglected to notice the keys out in the bowl by the door.
"Shut the salon earlier, wanted to get some sleep, but damn, and next time you wanna rock the bed, give me a heads up," Keelie cast a sarcastic smile and picked up the remote.
"Oh god," Carson's hands concealed the embarrassment on her face, she felt Brian laugh from beside her.
Keelie tutted, "Nasty people."
"Sorry, Keke!" Brian couldn't stop laughing, "We didn't ruin your Project Runway viewin' right?"
"Get outta here."
"We can't stay?" Carson whined, pulling Brian onto the couch with her. Keelie sighed with a smile. "He wants to stay a while."
"I bet he does " Keelie resumed her programme, ignoring how the blonde wrapping an arm around her friend. He was all up over her, kissing and whispering things in her ear. "If you're gonna stay, keep that nastiest to yourself." She jabbed a finger in Brian's direction, "I'm talkin' to you, Kevin Costner."
"Yeah, I'll try," Brian chuckled.
"We gotta bounce, in 20 but I gotta know who's makin' the cut this week," Carson said, watching the show.
The vibe was tight, they were all getting along and even Keelie and Brian refrained from cursing the other out.
The Dixon woman could see how infatuated they were with each other. The touches, the smiles, the looks. It was straight outta some romcom she couldn't stomach seeing.
But all that ended when they got up, said their goodbyes and left.
___
The wind blew through the windows of the truck Brain drove, moving a few of Carson's relaxed strands making her tuck them behind her ear as she checked herself out in the mirror. She glared when she caught a few love bites on her neck but he cockily smiled at her and drove a bit faster.
His right hand rested and occasionally squeezed her thigh, he knew it drove her crazy so he kept doing it. She's sensitive and responsive, he concluded that last night and did everything to learn her body, her quips, charms, the shit that made her tick and smile.
"You think Dom's gonna flip if I'm late?" Brian wondered, glancing between the open road and Carson.
She turned to him, "Not if you say were with me. Besides, he gets distracted with Letty sometimes."
He pulled a face, "You don't distract me. I wanna give you my attention."
He stared at her a bit longer than he should've, there was no traffic but so wasn't so trusting of LA.
She nudged him, "Keep your eyes on the road, pretty boy."
He sped up, "You scared?"
Carson shifted, the hand resting on her thigh tightened and everything blurred around her.
"No, I'm not scared," she replied, lying her ass off, locking her eyes with his.
"You trust me?" He asked, remembering when she said the same thing the night of her win.
"I do." Carson wasn't lying this time, she really did trust him.
He pulled his hand off her thigh and shifted gears, pressing his foot down harder on the gas.
His eyes deepened into hers, he didn't dare to take his eyes off of her.
Carson's heart was practically beating out of her chest, from his wild stare and the adrenaline pumping through her veins. He kept going faster and faster and faster, it's like she was walking on clouds... a very dangerous cloud but she felt serene.
They abruptly came to a stop at the red light, making her laugh into her hands which put a smirk on his lips.
"Fuck..." she couldn't believe what happened, "Who taught you that?"
"You questionin' my game?" Brian caved at the pointed look he received, "An old friend." Roman, Carson's heated stare made him raise a brow, "What?"
When the lights turned green he drove around the corner.
"Park up," Brian complied at her request, knowing this was going.
The moment the car stopped Carson didn't hesitate to climb over the gear stick and onto his lap, straddling him.
With one hand on her waist, Brian quickly put on the stereo before, looking up at her with a satisfied grin.
"That got you going huh?" he joked, glad he pulled up onto a vacant street.
"For once, don't talk," Carson hushed him, pulling off her top and combing her hands through his curls. Brian looked at her like she was a goddess, eyes hooded and lips parted, "Watch me as I make you two hours late."
As her hands moved further down his torso a song started to play, Differences by Ginuwine. It boomed through the speakers pulling the couple further into their sensual bubble.
Dom would have to wait.

a/n:
oooo, they're taking it!
no, but seriously, i loved writing this chapter. it was chill and laid back, well apart from vince's warning and the fact everyone was gossiping about them. i mean you can't blame vince for being protective but carson doesn't wanna listen right now. she's eating pasta and lobster... so why would she?
also, her car's getting there. all the changes will be done soon and I'll make sure to leave a link to what i imagine her car will end up looking like.

I-I
The smell of burnt rubber, the sound of bass-thumping music, and the feeling of the steering wheel in her hands was home. Heaven. Whatever you wanted to call it. She loved it.
The large spotlights shone bright against the warehouse buildings lining the small road, illuminating the thrum of people and cars that surrounded the area. They lined the street, pulling in and lifting the hoods to show off their hard work. Women pranced around in short skirts, bikini tops, and anything you wouldn't consider real clothing.
Pulling into a semi-solitary parking spot at the end of the roadway, she was safe from the hustle and bustle of shitty racers trying to convince anybody, anybody, to race.
"Hermes!" Hector's voice boomed over the music. "Where you been, girl?" He asked, shuffling through the swarm of people toward her car. Hermes smiled as she got out, closing the door behind her before hopping up to sit on the roof. She pulled a lollipop from her pocket, ripping off the wrapper and putting it into her mouth.
"At the shop, Hector. You know I'm always building something new." She replied, her smirk stretching the large scar that arced across the bottom of her face, from her outer ear to her chin.
"When are you gonna build me something good?" He asked, pleading. A small crowd was forming around him, as it usually did, people laughing at his eagerness.
"When you have enough money to pay for it." Hermes replied, grinning. The crowd jeered, laughing and prodding at Hector as he had the nerve to look vaguely disappointed.
"Come on, Hermes, you know that'll never happen." Edwin said, grinning as he walked over, a girl on his arm. "You racing tonight?"
"Are you?" Hermes asked.
"Hell, yeah." He replied.
"Then fuck no." She retorted. The crowd around them laughed, and Edwin made a face. "I save my skills for someone who'll provide some challenge."
"Dom's racing tonight." Hector offered. The crowd now looked back to Hermes, like it was a soap opera, or a sick car wreck they couldn't stop staring at.
"Did I stutter?" Hermes asked, raising an eyebrow. The people surrounding them 'oohed', waiting for Dom to miraculously show up with a retort to defend himself.
Everyone in the street racing community down in Los Angeles knew that Hermes was the only known racer to ever beat Dominic Toretto in a race. Hector smiled and shook his head, walking back to his own car and talking amongst Edwin and the boys to see what the race would be like.
Hermes raised an eyebrow as a car pulled into a spot, the green paint job and decals never seen before around here. Looked like a nice enough car, but everyone knew what was under the hood was what really mattered.
"Hey, hold up, hold up. Look at this snowman right here!" Hector called as the guy stepped out of his car. He wore all black, just jeans and a t-shirt, but it contrasted well with his blue eyes and blond hair. "Sweet ride. Whatchu running under this thing?" He asked. The guy just smirked, shoving his hands in his pockets. "You're gonna make me find out the hard way."
"Hell yeah." He replied.
"You're brave, you're brave." Hector remarked. "They call me Hector. I got a last name too, but I can't pronounce it, so—"
"Brian Spilner." The guy replied.
"Ah, typical white boy name. You know what I'm sayin?" Edwins attention was caught by the newcomer. "See that over there?" He asked, gesturing over to the opposite side of the roadway where his boys were shining up his headlights. "That's mine. It's my baby. But I ain't cutting her loose tonight."
"Hector, don't try to convince him you can drive that piece of shit." Hermes called over, Hector flipping a vulgar gesture in her direction.
"Why not?" Brian asked, politely skipping over Hermes' comment.
"It's cause I'm going legit." Hector answered. "I'm trying to get into the NIRA circuit. You heard of it?"
"Oh, hell yeah." Brian stated, nodding.
"So what's up with you, man?"
"I'm just waiting for Toretto." Hermes' attention was now fully on their conversation. This dipshit thinks he can take Dom?
"Shit, you better get in line." Edwin said, walking toward them. "This yours?" He asked.
"Yeah, I'm standing next to it." Brian replied quietly. Hermes raised an eyebrow from her position out of his eye line. She was curious about him. He seemed plain enough, but he looked confident. Stiff, but relaxed at the same time. She would bet good money he was a shit racer.
"That's funny, you know, Edwin happens to know a few things." Edwin stated. In the third person. "And what he knows is: it's not how you stand by your car, it's how you race your car. You better learn that." Hermes chuckled.
The familiar revving engines echoed in Hermes' ear, signalling to everyone the arrival of Dom and his team. Hermes hopped off the roof of her car, approaching the space in the middle of the street where Dom would no doubt park his car.
"Aw shit. Here they come. It's on!" Edwin called. Hermes pushed past him, smirking over her shoulder.
"Who's that? She wasn't with Toretto's gang before." Brian asked quietly, leaning toward Hector.
"That's Hermes, man. She's the only one to ever beat Dom in a race. My sources say she's done it more than once." Hector replied, eyes wide at the fact that Brian had never heard of her before. "She knows more about your car then you do, with only one look."
"Well, I guess I gotta beat her too." Brian said with a smirk.
"Ha! Good luck with that homie, she don't race just anybody. I'd be careful just throwing that shit around." Hector advised. Dom pulled up, grinning at the crowd that formed around him. Spotting Hermes, his grin widened.
"Hey, Hermes, how you been?" He asked, slinging an arm around her shoulder.
"Tired of waiting." She shot back with a smirk. Dom laughed, walking over to visit with some of the guys. Hermes went over and hugged Letty, repeating the action with Mia, fist-bumping Leon and Vince. "You guys stop for sushi on the way or just making me suffer?" She asked, slinging her own arm around Jesse's shoulder. He laughed, and they all walked over to where Letty and Dom were standing, over by Hector.
"What's up, man." Hector said, shaking hands with Dom.
"Edwin." Dom greeted, repeating the action.
"How we doin this tonight?" Edwin asked.
"One race. 2G buy-in. Winner takes all." Dom announced. "Hermes is gonna hold the cash."
"Why Hermes?" Danny Yamato asked, coming over with his wad of cash. Hermes held out her hands, receiving the money from Danny, Edwin, and Dom.
"'Cause she's honest, unlike Hector over here." Edwin jeered, elbowing the guy. Hermes smirked. She'd be fast enough to get away with the money, but everyone knew where her garage was. They knew she wouldn't abandon all her shit. She had like 6 padlocks on the front door alone.
"Okay, good luck guys." Dom said with a smirk.
"Hey, wait. Hold up." Brian called. He worked his way through the crowd into their little space. "I don't have any cash, but I do have the pink slip to my car."
"Hey, you can't just climb in the ring with Ali 'cause you think you can box." Jesse stated, his hands gesturing wildly as he came forward.
"He knows I can box." Brian stated, pointing to Vince as he pouted on the hood of his own car. "So check it out, it's like this. I lose, the winner takes my car, clean and clear. I win, I keep my car, the money, and I get the respect." The crowd laughed, but Hermes kept her face expressionless. She knew he wouldn't win, but the notion of winning respect was interesting. She'd never bet her car on it, though.
"Respect." Dom huffed a laugh.
"To some people that's more important." Brian retorted, his smile falling into stone-cold seriousness. Dom looked over to Hermes, as if asking if that was a square deal. She shrugged. As long as the racers were into it, seemed fair enough. Dom, Edwin, and Danny nodded, all agreeing.
"Let's see what you're betting with." Hermes stated with a smirk, shoving the cash into her jacket pocket before zipping it up. She walked over to the neon green car, Jesse grinning as he followed. Hermes took the lollipop out of her mouth to check out the goods. They popped the hood together, taking a peek at the inside.
"I see a cool-air intake, it's got a NOS-fogger system, and a T-four turbo, Dominic." Jesse relayed. Hermes nodded her confirmation. In truth, it was a sweet ten-second ride. But like Edwin said before, it's not about the car, it's the driver.
"A.I.C controller and direct port nitrous injection." Hermes added.
"And a stand alone fuel management system. Not a bad way to spend $10,000." Dom finished, folding his arms. The crowd jeered.
"You see this shit? He's got enough NOS in there to blow himself up, period." Edwin remarked.
"Yeah, let's hope he knows how to use it." Hermes remarked. She turned back to the starting line, popping the sucker back into her mouth as she heard Dom agree to let him race. Brian ran over, placing his pink slip in her outstretched hand. Hermes got in her car, pulling out as the crowd parted.
"Yo, where's she going?" Danny asked, frowning at the fact that she was in her car and leaving.
"Relax. She's going to the race." Dom stated. He smirked at Hermes through the windshield. Hermes smirked right back before doing a donut in front of the crowd. There was a chorus of cheers before she led them away to the scheduled street. Leon wasn't far behind her, the police scanner in his car loud and clear for him to watch for cops. He parked along the side, all spectators following suit to create a straight quarter-mile track.
Hermes parked at the very end, watching as everyone else blocked the remaining roads. She could just see the headlights of the racers set up at the start line. Hector pulled out his bandana, waving it to signal the start of the race. All four cars floored their gas pedals, and it had begun.
Hermes liked to watch the race from the end. She could see how the drivers were doing just fine, but she wanted to watch Dom win. He always did. Well, almost always. Brian's car lurched forward, and Hermes shook her head. Premature use of NOS was always what newbies fucked everything up with. Well, they have to learn somehow.
Hermes stood up on her car hood, the checkered bandana in her hand the signal for the winner. Dom's car jumped ahead, leaving Brian in the dust as he whipped across the finish line.
Waving the bandana, Hermes grinned as Dom pulled over. The next two cars, Danny and Edwin drove over, shaking their heads and cursing themselves out. Brian finally drove his car over, smiling like an idiot.
Hermes raised her eyebrow as she climbed off her car, walking over and opening the hood of his green Eclipse. The steam floated up into the air, and Hermes winced as she glanced over at his fried piston rings. Jesus, he damn near blew up his own car.
"Where the fuck did you learn to drive?" She asked, glaring at Brian for doing such a thing to a beautiful car like this. His grin faltered a bit, shrugging. Hermes reached over to Dom, handing him the wads of cash along with Brian's pink slip. He handed it over to Mia for her to count before grabbing Letty and spinning her around in victory.
"What are you smilin' at?" Dom asked, grinning as the crowd followed him from his car toward Brian's. Jesse walked over, joining Hermes by the engine and equally frowning at the damage.
"Dude, I almost had you." Brian stated, still grinning.
"You almost had me?" Dom questioned, pointing at his chest. The silver cross chain around his neck shook with his laughter. "You never had me. You never had your car. You almost had me?" Hermes looked up over the hood, making a face at the machismo happening around the car.
"Kid's gonna go through cars like pairs of socks if he doesn't fucking learn to drive." Hermes mumbled. She meant for only Jesse to hear her, as his knowledge was the only rival to hers when it came to cars, but Dom chuckled as he slung his arm around her shoulders.
"You hear that? Hermes is right, kid. Granny shifting, not double-clutching like you should." Dom remarked. "You're lucky that hundred-shot of NOS didn't blow the welds on the intake. Almost had me?" The crowd laughed again. "Now me, the mad scientist, and Hermes here, gotta rip apart the block and replace the piston rings you fried!" The crowd jeered. He was really digging in his heels. Hermes stood up and closed the hood with a click. "As any racer here, any real racer. It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning's winning."
He raised his arms in victory, Hermes rolling her eyes. She gave him a nudge before walking back over to her car, leaving the yelling crowd and dick-measuring behind. She opened her car door, just hearing Leon yell about the cops before she slammed it behind her.
Pulling away, she raced down the open street to the first available parking garage to stash her car. She'd be able to get a cab, or even walk back to Dom's, but if cops were looking for street racers, she'd definitely get bagged in the car she was driving.
The cop cars drove past her as they chased other racers down the street. She heard the roar of Dom's engine pulling into the parking garage as she walked.
Stopping in an alley, she waited outside for him. He was looking around as he pulled his red leather jacket around his shoulders, almost crashing into her.

Quién puede domar la fuerza del mal
Que se mete por tu' vena' (¡Don!)
Lo caliente del Sol que se te metió
Y no te deja quieta, nena (¡toma, toma!)
Quién puede parar eso que al bailar
Descontrola tu' cadera' (sexy)
Y ese fuego que quema por dentro y lento
Te convierte en fiera

Cipher: The enemy is now my friend?
Prompts: 38 & 62
y/h/t = your hair type (eg. curly, straight etc)
y/n is Cipher in the scene in fast x where Cipher meets Dante (not described but implied in the beginning)
With nowhere else to go after being heavily injured by Dante I arrive at Cipher's place. I couldn't go to my brother yet as he'd freak out and he's on the other side of the state. I knock on the door clutching my side to try and stop the bleeding.
She opens the door shocked to see me.
"I can explain. It's not as bad as it looks." I say. She knows I can't go to Dom. She ushers me inside leading me to the lounge where she takes my shirt off to assess the damage. She leaves and comes back with a first aid kit.
"Who hurt you? Tell me who did this to you or so help me…"
"The devil, and it's not that bad." I cut her off.
"y/n it is I have to put stitches."
"Ok, maybe it is worse than it looks."
"This may hurt." she tells me before cleaning the wounds. After she finishes stitching me up. She gives me a set of clean clothes.
"Thank you Cipher."
"You're welcome, the only person allowed to hurt you is me. Now come you need rest." she says with a small smile which I return. She leads me to the guest room. I finally fall asleep.
Cipher's POV
I'm woken by screaming as I quickly remember y/n is here. I rip the covers off of me and run to the guest room. I hurry to her side and try to wake her. Suddenly she bolts upright, tears falling down her face. I quickly climb in next to her and hold her tight. She falls into my arms as heart wrenching sobs wrack her small body. I sit with her rocking her gently as I try to calm her.
"Shh, you're safe with me, I won't let go, I've got you." I whisper
Soon enough she calms down.
"I'm sorry for waking you."
"Don't worry about it, I'm more worried about you. Do you wanna talk about it?"
"I relived what happened earlier, but you were also there but he killed you and my family."
"Oh darling it's ok, I'm here, you're families safe and so are you."
"I'm sorry Ci."
"Hey! no more of that, it's all good. Now let's get you back to sleep ok?"
"Can you stay with me?" She whispers so softly I almost miss it.
"Of course I will." I move us so i'm lying flat on my back and her body is laying sideways on her non injured side. She rests her head on my shoulder and curls into me as I wrap my arms around her protectively.
~~~
Waking up I feel a weight next to me and on my chest. I open my eyes and see y/n next to me. I smile to myself as I let my fingers play with her y/h/t hair. Waking up next to her felt right. After a while she begins to stir.
"Good morning darling."
"Good morning Ci."
"We need to get up and call your brother."
"Do we have to get up?"
"unfortunately yes, sorry darling." She just groans in response to which I chuckle.
She drags herself out of bed and to the shower. I go and make some food. She comes into the kitchen in a fresh change of clothes. She grabs her phone to call Dom.
Dom tells her to stay where she is until it blows over. We all know that won't happen, but while she's injured I won't let her go.
Somehow and don't ask me how, Cipher, Letty and I end up in Antarctica. Cipher comes up with a plan to get us out but Letty being the stubborn woman she is chose to fight Cipher. Once the fight ends we get out of the building and follow Cipher.
Seeing Gisele alive was a miracle. Once on the sub Letty wandered off but Cipher and I stayed close together.
"Thank you Ci for everything, you've saved me multiple times."
"Oh honey, there's nothing I wouldn't do for you." She replies pulling me in for a hug.
Maybe she was never a bad person til something bad happened to her. Maybe this is a new chapter for her, a new beginning. Only time will tell.
