Doctor Who season 4 is so delightful because you can tell that The Doctor, on occasion, straight up forgets that he's sad and burned because he's busy being in a sci-fi buddy comedy. And then something will remind him and he'll be like oh! I'm sad and burdened! And Donnas almost always there to be like 'hi sad and burdened. I'm Donna' and he has a completely proportional reaction like 'i would die a thousand deaths for you'.

exactly like seeing the shot of her standing there with her family, jack and lucy while he's cradling the body of the man who literally terrorised and tortured them for a whole year begging for him not to die, im gonna be honest i would have grabbed a gun and shot him too

martha jones is stronger than the us marines because i think i would have killed anyone that treated me the way the doctor treated her in cold blood. he starts off their time together by kissing her passionately in a hospital hallway and when she’s like “who are you omg?” he starts waxing poetic to her about this random girl she’s never met. and then he ends their time together by having homoerotic tension with and then sobbing over the body of a man who just made her have the worst year of her life. its a wonder she didn’t go apeshit

Maybe I've read too much fanfiction recently but, in the TV show canon: does the TARDIS actually have house amenities, like a kitchen and layndry room and stuff, during RTD's first era?? Or was that just a collective fandom invention and we all went like "OF COURSE it has a kitchen, and not only that, it's FULLY EQUIPPED with A BUNCH of all kind of human and alien foods from present and past!!"??? Did we all just delude ourselves??

Genuinely asking because on The Christmas Invasion Rose asks Jackie to bring food to the TARDIS while they hide and wait for the Doctor to wake up. Why would she do that if the Tardis had an actual kitchen with food? I know in Classic Who the Doctor had a food machine, but idk what happend to that.

Also, the laundry. Rose took a bag full of dirty laundry to Jackie's in the S2 finale... so does the Tardis doesn't have a washing machine, either? Does the Doctor just throw out clothes into a random supernova or black hole everytime they get dirty??

I mean. It kinda makes sense for Nine considering he didn't want domestics...
