“My name… is Janus.” 

Silence. 

“BWAHAHAHA! What are you, a middle school librarian?!” Roman laughed. 

The scene played in his mind over and over again. He was sort of ashamed of his name, and for admitting it. Then he thinks of how Roman looked when he sank out and he feels selfish. “Roman isn’t the bad guy...He’s the hero.” He tells himself. 

“Thank god you don't have a moustache, otherwise I wouldn't be able to tell who the evil twin is.”

He had hit him where it hurts. On purpose. 

Janus rubbed his gloved hands on his face. His left eye was raw, and it stung so bad!

He didn't care though. The pain grounded him. And it was better than Remus’s pain..

Remus’s pain was chaotic, threatening in a sense. Deceit didn't understand its purpose. Remus didn't try to be mean, though. It was just his nature. 

Janus smiled at the thought of Remus. Ohoo, he would be a real bother about Roman laughing about his name… also about his name in general. He had kept it a secret from Remus, not wanting to be made fun of. They always knew him as “deceit,” a simple name for them to know. Also, Orange was a problem. Encompassing insanity, he was.. More insane than Remus. A given. 

Who knows what Arden had in mind when he finds out?

Turns out, he wasn't even there. Remus was though, with his jaw hanging open as he stared at the TV that monitored Thomas. He turned around. “WHAT?!” 

Remus shot off the couch and grabbed Janus by the shoulders and shook him vigorously. “WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME YOU BASTARD!?!”

“Because, Rem, you know how I am. I keep my cards close to my chest.” He replied calmly. “Where's Arden?”

“Sleeping. He said that we were too boring.”

“Typical.” Janus sighed. “So, what do you think?”

“I like that name. We match!” Remus grinned and with a swish of his hand Janus had a moustache that mirrored his own. 

Imitating Remus’ voice, Janus said, “Theres a snake in that chair!”

“Its butt.”

“But I'm not in your butt. Nor do I have a snake up my ass.”

“Hmm..” Remus contemplated. “I wonder how that would feel..”

“Dont. Lets not try today, shall we?”

“Ok Deedee! WAIT! What do I call you.. Janus… URANUS!” Remus gasped. He pointed a finger at Janus, almost like he was accusing him of something. 

“No! No. Not that. Please.” Janus could feel his face flush. “Call me Deedee. Thats perfectly fine.”

“But nooo! Its not your naaame!” Remus thought for a moment. “Jani? JANI YES THATS IT THATS YOUR NICKNAME.”

Janus sighed. “Jani it is, then.”

“YO SHUT UP!” Arden yelled. “A SIDE IS TRYING TO SLEEP HERE!”

Janus sighed again, rubbing his face. “Sorry Ardy! Rem just got excited!”

A loud grunt could be heard from the Orange sides room.

“Rem, be quiet.”

“I’m getting Remy and Dr. Picani! They gotta know!” 

“Nooo, I swear, don't get Remy involved he’ll be such a nuisance!” Janus said in a hushed voice. 

Remus got out his phone and started typing. “What are you gonna do about it?!” He cackled.

Janus sighed. “...nothing. Tell them that they are going to be subjected to my cooking and movies and cuddles.”

“Will do.”

Needless to say, it ended up being alright.
