Seeing the new screenshots make me so happy, because we're seemingly getting into the horror elements of the show. And being the little gremlin I am, I can't help but really REALLY want this scene to play out like the ending of The Mysterious House...

damn martin walls was not joking around when he said he was going to take the walten files in a more cinematic direction. i have to admit i was hesitant when i first heard that because i didn't know how much the series would change, but man. i was sold the second i saw the opening scene with edd and molly animated in the school gym.

everything looked great, the atmosphere was amazing, the distinct style is there still but more polished and it's so cool to see these characters moving and talking. episodes 1-3 had the scary factor (which walls himself later described as 'over-the-top') but you can really tell that walls must have an extra special talent for this new kind of storytelling. can't wait to see what episodes 5 and 6 bring, i'm sure they'll knock even this last episode out of the park.

if the walten files team can continue these types of episodes but manage to bring back some of that insane dreadful horror that made the series so famous in the first place (in a way that martin walls can still approve of; because i kind of see what he meant by calling the first three episodes 'over-the-top'), i think this fnaf knockoff scary youtube show could actually end up being, no exaggerating, a masterpiece. the three year wait was worth it. fantastic job to the entire team.

I just saw the new episode,, wow

WARNING,, spoilers for The Walten Files 4

I love the animation, it is simply beautiful (Get it LMAO). And it improved so much.

There wasn't even any new lore (except for small details), but I loved how they used different perspectives.

Also,, THE WONDERLAND SCENE. It's simply amazing, and the way that we actually get to see what happened to Susan (and possibly other victims) is just great,, and probably my favourite scene in the series.

I also loved the scene where Jack drives to Felix's house. Especially because we can see all of his anger and worry. On other episodes, we couldn't really see much of his personality, or his anger issues; we only had the telephone scene in Bunnyfarm, which, in my opinion, was pretty mild. In this one, you can REALLY tell he's seething with rage. I also liked the fact that he looked through the window, searching for Felix, thinking he was hiding. It makes you see that's how other people view Felix, and how they think he'd act like that.

I've been waiting for this episode since November 2022 (when I joined the fandom), and honestly, I cried multiple times watching this episode. And it is by far my favourite.

here are some underrated (in my opinion) media's I recommend!

Lackadaisy (Animated PILOT - Webcomic.) Lackadaisy has its own Animated PILOT on YouTube, and a Webcomic you can find on the official lackadaisy website! The series is about a webcomic set in Prohibition-era St. Louis, Missouri. It chronicles the events of a cast of anthropomorphic cats as they struggle to keep the titular speakeasy afloat.

Murder Drones (Animated series) Murder Drones has recently gained popularity, but is still a small project. You find it on youtube. On a post-apocalyptic exoplanet, worker drones struggle to survive by hiding from rogue robots called Murder Drones

Epithet Erased (Animated series - book) you can find the first 7 episode Animated on YouTube! Season 2, however, Is a book. based on the tabletop roleplay series Anime Campaign! With unique powers called epithets, and characters attempting to steal an amulet rumored to have the ability to take a person's epithet.

Lego Monkie Kid (Cartoon) The tale begins when an ordinary boy, Monkie Kid, finds Monkey King's legendary staff, and he becomes the chosen one. You can watch on PRIME VIDEO!

Recreyo (YouTube channel!) Oddly enough, I'm recommending a YouTube channel.. a Comedy podcast with a group of friends with trust issues are thrown into different chaotic scenarios where they have to survive by learning to trust each other.. or not.

I'm running out of ideas or media's so.. uh yeah guys you should watch those silly fnaf rps like Oddities or The Famous Films!!! There's more, but I don't know them all lol

Also the sun and moon show is pretty cool yeah

EDIT ; The amazing digital circus is a new media too! Though, the fandom has grown largely. It's a animated pilot on YouTube, under the GlitchProductions channel. (creators of murder drones)

EDIT ; Spooky Month! Halloween is one of everyone's favorites, and so is October! I'm sure you've all heard of this show, made by Sr. pelo. Every year, near Halloween, a new episode for this series released! Last year, it grew huge in popularity.

There obviously tons of smaller projects out there, and I totally recommend them! Make sure to support small creators!

An anime for once! Madoka Magica is great, actually. It's a dark spin on the magical girl ordeal, and it's probably the only anime I really like.

LITERALLY LOVED IT SO MUCH

but fr, the new walten files episode is genuinely so good. Compared to the last season you can tell just how much work was put into the episode. From the full body designs of characters, to the animation itself. I just loved so much how we saw full animations of characters, and not just shoulders up. And I’m glad we (semi) closure on what happened to Felix after the car wreck. And to be honest I hope he does not just end up dying, I want to see him grow as a character and proove that he is more than just jack’s friend who had a drinking problem. and I can’t talk about this episode without mentioning how insane Susan’s death is. It is just so crazy lol. I just love Susan’s character so much. Especially how she is a trans character played by and trans VA. I love that so much<33

basically in conclusion, if you haven’t seen it yet. What are you doing. Go watch it! It is an amazing extension in the walten files universe. Martin walls is genuinely an amazing artist and writer, you can not talk about analog horror with out mentioning him.

I may or may not have a new hyperfixation.

The Walten Files is an amazing YouTube series by Martin Walls and I absolutely love it! The details in each episode, the sense of unease that builds in each installment, the amazing characterization for each of the characters introduced - I love it all!

So yeah, first picture is my attempt at drawing all of the animatronics in my own humanoid style (plus Sophie and Jenny for flavour), then the second picture is a drawing of the three major interpretations of, no surprise, my favorite character from the series. The center is Bon, naturally, the one on the left with the solid-coloured eyes is the Pumpkin Rabbit from "The Mysterious House," and the jester-looking one on the right is Mortality from "Boozoo's Ghosts."

(Yes I am aware TMH and BG aren't canon - I just wanted an excuse to draw them.)

Major props to the voice actor Bravvyy/Evan for giving Bon such an amazing personality!! Great work, man! And, naturally, massive praise to Martin Walls for not only creating an amazing series but also for scaring the ever-loving shit outta me with the Pumpkin Rabbit's voice! Can't wait to see what's next for The Walten Files!!

notorious mandela catalogue disliker (me) actually thinks its improving. I watched volume 2 last night and while the stretched faces/silence and then quiet appearance of these faces are still Meh for me (i feel like walten files makes the faces creepier but its still funny in that series too), i think the tension in the newest episode was AMAZING... i like the new style too, the mix of live action elements, the POV from the gps, the editing and especially the voice acting were all on point. the reveal at the end with the source of the noise legit made me gasp, and the fight that breaks out shortly before this between jonah and adam was really well acted too. now i get the hype. Yayyyy
