Finally finished rendering this just in time to meet the deadline for @sanchoyo’s DTIYS of their OC Mira from their fancomic Tokyo Miracle!! I haven’t read the comic for myself yet, but I always love seeing their characters on my dash and drawing any of them when I have the opportunity <3 Mira was super fun to draw, and I had a lot of fun experimenting with poses and rendering with such a fun character! Happy Birthday, my friend 💖💖

Mira is very fun to draw for me specifically because of all the bows and poofy bits on her outfit, but I always end up second-guessing how her cape should fold!! In the end I kind of cheated here by pushing a lot of it off the page... Art tips, I guess??? 😑

Really like how the lighting turned out, esp. the red lines on the highlights. Last minute idea that I think really helps the red not get lost in the overall palette!

this is a DTIYS to celebrate 300 followers on IG! I've never done one of these before but I wanted to give it a try with Mira from tokyo miracle, my webcomic! (free to read, link in my pinned!)

ALL entries will get a prize so long as you follow the rules! :3

Rules: -draw this image in your style! this isn't just a general 'draw this character'- you can change up the lighting/angles, background, etc, but I'd like if the vibe/pose were similar, just in your styles! you can look under the readmore for her references. you're totally welcome to simplify or modify her clothes/weapon if you'd like to be creative (if you're unsure if something would be okay, just ask!!)

-deadline is may 30th! (my birthday :3c) no extensions!

(prize characters can be characters u like or ur own ocs! basically the same guidelines as my commissions, nothing inappropriate yk. common sense guidelines! but I'm happy to do soft mech and furries as well as humanoids!)

heres the refs. again, totally ok to simplify, or like, since shes a tmm oc, you could make her outfit tmm new style. or put her in a diff magical girl au like sailor moon or something. again, creativity is 1000% encouraged so long as the pose/vibe is the same and shes still recognizable!!!
