okay tbh yes I was thinking about that 😭I've been wanting to do a few drawings of my splatoon oc since I've never made offical art for them just doodles (he's probs the one with the most developed lore thanks to my friend😭) BUT I've also thought about redesigning my oc from a few years back 🧍🏽 too many things I wanna do plus idk if most people if my following would even be interesting in seeing this stuff

(It’s time for bookish Questions with Julie!) What is your favorite classic book? What is your favorite modern book? What makes a book a classic? What was the first book that made you fall in love with reading? Are you currently reading anything?

My favourite classic book is probably the adventures of huckleberry finn, just because it's the epitome of "he's got the spirit." It might be problematic by today's standards, but in its time, it was a fun story and remarkably progressive. It also really affirms how much we can learn from children.

Favourite modern book would be the illuminae files series, very much a comfort read for me and one I keep coming back to.

A classic book I think is anything that touches the minds of enough people to become universally recognizable, at least within a relevant group, and holds that status across multiple generations. Basically, a classic is timeless.

When I fell in love with reading, I was too young to remember now what book I was reading. I taught myself to read at the age of roughly three and couldn't put down a book for a long time after that.

If I'm being totally honest, a lot of life is strange fanfic lately. Other than that, I like to go to the libraries around my city and poke around, see what I find day to day. Haven't done that in a few weeks though.

not to sound like a boomer, but I need some people to learn how to write emails in a semi-professional (at the very least) format so you're not cold emailing a business/potential employer/any other stranger about formal matters in the exact same way you'd DM a close friend on instagram

the formality/language can loosen up in the email chain once you've established a rapport and you match the other person if they're being less formal, but please don't have the very first email you send a stranger be written in all lowercase ultra-casual sms slang with no greeting or signature and a billion emojis

lived my whole life in guilt bc i thought i was responsible for people's feelings. newly realizing that other people are responsible for their feelings and reactions, even if they make it seem like i'm the problem. a lot of the time it really has to do w them and their own emotional regulation. i can't keep thinking i'm not allowed to have space bc of other people's insecurities. like i literally refuse to dim myself. other people are responsible for their feelings just as i'm responsible for mine.
