Personalized Book Stamp

Books outnumber the toys we have in our house, bookshelves upon bookshelves of books!

My daughter love story time; with 24 Days of Books for Christmas,scholastic book sales library book sales, Amazon deals & Barnes & Noble clearance rack, receiving books for every holiday; they just fill up.

With all those books, she loves to take them on trips; to school, playdates & back and forth to her dads’ house. I do get nervous that they’re going to be lost or end up being left at someone else’s house.

We’ve lost a couple books along the way. I don’t have the best handwriting, so writing her name in there isn’t the best option.  Stickers always seem to come pealed off, or just a real pain to always get printed! I needed to find something inexpensive, she could help with & easy for me to remember!

A couple months ago I came across the Personalized Book Stamp from Pick Your Plum!  It was the answer to my issue!  If the lost book is found, and they’d like to return it, they could just Google her & her name comes up!

This rubber stamp is super easy to use & it’s self-inking!  The inking plate is easy to remove & re-ink when running low.  The ink pad comes pre-inked with a lot of black ink.

The only downside is that it does take a little time to dry.  Would recommend doing during nap time, or when a small child is not around!

DIY Lego Table

Lego tables range anywhere from $75-$200, that was just not in my budget!

The table should have cost me $48, but with massive discounts, I was able to make the table for $10.65!  That’s right just $10.65

Discount Supplies

LACK Side table – $8, IKEA discount for $5

Brick Building Base Plates (6 Pack) – $10.00, Jump Send discount $4.90

Building Block Tape – $30, Jump Send discount $0.75

Other Supplies

Scissors

Hot Glue

Hot Glue Gun

STEPS

Plugin the hot glue gun

Wipe down the LACK, clean off dust and/or dirt

Select the building block tape you’d like to use, remove a small bit of the backing & place on the side of the LACK

Slowly move to wrap the building block tape around the LACK, slowly removing the backing

Layer the side with the building block tape

Repeat on the legs of the LACK

Grab the hot glue gun, watch it’s hot, flip the brick building base plates upside down and add dots on each corner and the center, flip over and press on top of the lack, make a pattern you desire

Repeat above step until the brick building base plates are all on the table

Now add some Legos & start playing.

Hash Browns

Hash browns are one of my favorite foods, on top of that they are an easy dish to prepare!

A bag of frozen hash browns can range anywhere from $2-5, depending on the brand. You’ll receive maybe 3-4 servings in the bag, not much.

However, a sack potatoes can cost between $2-6 and one large potato can produce 3-4 servings! You do the math, you can save so much money!

On top of all that making hash browns take little time to prepare and easy to cook!

Supplies

Grater, I’d recommend the 6 in 1 Stainless Steel Box Grater

Kitchen Towel – TEKLA Kitchen Towel

Pot Lid

Plate

Electric Griddle

Turner

Cooking Spray

Steps

Wash potatoes

Place kitchen towel on top of the plate, open

Place grater on top of the open kitchen towel with

Grab a potato with your dominant hand

Place your other hand on top of the grater, to stabilize

Grate the potato (up and down over the hole size desired

Once you have grated the desired amount of potatoes remove the grater from the plate

Wash & dry your hands

Take each side of the kitchen towel and pull to the top, like a sack & twist.  This will remove excess water out of the potatoes

Turn electric griddle on & spray with cooking spray

Place small piles of hash browns on the electric griddle, covering with the pot lid

Occasionally mixing and turning with your turner

Cooking until brown & serve

**PLEASE PAY ATTENTION & DO NOT GRATE YOUR FINGERS/HAND**
