Did Bakugou ever apologize to Deku off camera for punching him in the head? I’m referring to that chapter in Two to One. Also, if it’s not a spoiler, has Bakugou hit Deku before in the relationship? Plz I’m so curious. If you don’t plan to explore it more in the story then could you answer here xD?
Oh god, I am... finally getting to these...
"Off camera" is so funny. Katsuki has not apologized! :)

TOON THEORY: Team LHHAFBBHQ was turned into the Supervisors
Insane ramblings under the cut.
As I was wistfully recalling my time at Toonfest at Momocon 2023 and the cherished memories I made there, I wondered to myself;
“Huh. We haven’t heard about the Executive Office Tower in a hot minute, I kinda expected it to come up during one of the panels. Ah well, it's nice to see the Cog Facilities revamped, and those new Supervisor Cogs are really cool-”
That’s when the first of many thoughts struck my optimism-addled brain.
“Huh. Team LHAAFBBHQ was made up of two guys and two girls. The new Supervisors are made up of two guys… and two girls.”
I, like many of you, rolled my eyes at this thought at first. Two guys and two girls in a team of four is just balanced character design. But that inconsequential little detail opened the floodgates to more tiny details that quickly added up in a big-and uncomfortable- way.
Who’s Who?
I found the character summaries for Team LHAAFBBHQ and the new Supervisors, and started comparing. Some details fit together more cleanly than others, and there weren't any massive smoking guns, but there were frequent enough small details that led me to believe that what I was seeing was more than coincidence.
I collected my resources and made highlights that I thought were of interest, with some notes to explain my thought process. Maybe you can see something that I couldn’t.
Captain Rollie Dandysnooker - The Factory Foreman
Similar carelessness. Rollie has a history of getting the rest of the team into slapstick scenarios, which is hinted to be reflected in the Foreman’s behavior
Unfortunately (or fortunately), there don’t appear to be any other parallels at this time, or at least none I could see.
Prof. Von Fumblesplat - The Mint Auditor
Both Auditor and Fumblesplat are described as intelligent and analytical
Both summaries make a point that they plan ahead for multiple possibilities
Silly Lilly Gigglesnout - The Office Clerk
Lilly is known to be quiet; possible connection to Clerk’s abhorrence to Sound?
Lilly is the intelligence gatherer of the team, and The Clerk’s control of her witnesses gives her control of the information in the court
Lilly is described to be knowledgeable of everything and everyone in Toontown. Where better to store that knowledge than the library?
The Office Clerk’s face is very long, almost stretched out, kind of like a horse Toon’s (“Why the long face?”)
Colonel Violet Supergrooven - The Club President
Violet is the strongest in combat in the team. As the Bossbot Supervisor, The Club President is the strongest of her peers.
How could this have happened?
The back of the President’s hair strongly resembles the “hair” of a cat Toon. This detail is in almost all of her progress sketches.
Edit: a detail noticed by @surleetonin:

As anyone who has been keeping track of Team LHAAFBBHQ’s last known whereabouts knows, it’s all but confirmed that the team is (or was) being held prisoner in the Executive Office Tower on Bossbot HQ property.
The first hint we got to the Supervisor’s existence we got was an Email from The Chairman himself, in a memo to the entire company. However, when it came to the debut, who made the big announcement?
So… What now?
The CEO. Why is HE the one who “hired” the Supervisors, when the idea was The Chairman’s?
To link the Supervisors to the Bossbots, and maybe, just maybe, Team LHAAFBBHQ, who were taken by the very Bossbots they had set out to find.
Maybe I’m wrong. Heck, It’s very likely I’m wrong. Mayeb the Supervisors were hires from outside the company, robbing a poor Flunky of his hard-earned promotion. Maybe Team LHAAFBBHQ got distracted playing the world’s longest game of Toono. Or Maybe Joey and the gang just forgot about the Executive Office Tower entirely.
…But I don’t think they did. The Rewritten team forgetting, I mean, the other two things are very likely to happen.
Just after Team LHAAFBBHQ went missing and BBHQ was hunted around and found, Sir Max, AKA Joey, teased the possibility of a new playground. At an earlier Toonfest, the team announced they were going to redo all the textures in the game. Both promises remained dormant and unfulfilled… until this year’s Toonfest, which confirmed both.
In Conclusion:
I have full faith that the dedicated team behind Rewritten hasn’t forgotten the Tower, or Team LHAAFBBHQ. And I know that they’re going to come back, in some way, shape, or form.
I am mentally ill :)

i had lords in black gender thoughts last night so heres List. (presentations mostly apply to their human forms and perception by humans)
nibbly- most non conforming of his brothers. almost always presents feminine but strictly uses he/him (or it/its) and if anyone calls him otherwise he fucking eats them
tinky- probably toys with his presentation a lot, doesnt really care about pronouns, just chaos
blinky- this kinda bleeds into my "the watchers from tto are actually blinky" theory bc like. i feel like blinky would go by they, not as a singular pronoun but because they are the collection of the watchers. literally does not give a shit about gender presentation, why should he be perceived anyway?
pokey- plays with gender a bit too, but i feel like while tinky does it in a more. changing bodies and just going with the flow way, pokey does it in a way that is very obviously drag. honestly, any gender presentation done by pokey is drag. hes a performer, afterall
wiggly- the most cisgender out of all of them (derogatory)

Welcome to Abyss' Caffeine rush Analysis of a William Afton that no one seemingly talks about. Aka The Fourth Closet William Afton. This is also maybe a guide on details if you want to describe or draw him.
Okay so i saw someone draw TFC William again, time to not be normal !!! ( positive / autism ).
But also i realized his design finally.
TRIGGER WARNINGS: Body Scars, Self Harm, Torture ( Springlock incidents ), Body Horror, Body Damage and Light Gore. Nothing is Extremely Graphic but still detailed.
I want to be clear, i do not think its mentioned in the book, but the graphic novel is very.. All over the place in all honesty. ( it is anyways, with Elizabeth having the wrong Hair color, and William's robes changing color every page ( its supposed to be the shadows.. but it is not drawn well at all, making the robes look purple or purple and white.. On top of that i know its supposed to be technically *artist/animators black , because in the book its strictly black. )
Actual descriptions here for figuring out what William Afton went through so i can make things a little less complicated design wise.
1. First off, my immediate thought i just realized and why i decided to make this. His secondary scars as Springtrap. In The Twisted Ones, as Springtrap, he is horribly mangled as well as lost some of his teeth.
The implications in the book he also lost his organs, which we will get to later. In The Fourth Closet, its.. less mangled. Still horrible, but not as much. Now this is obviously... probably a confusion on communication like everything else in the graphic novels but also probably to tone it down for kids.
However his teeth are back which is really funny to me. But then again we have learned that Remnant can heal. It wouldn't surprised me if Circus Baby, however and whenever she found him, used so much if it that his skin healed wrong and some things did come come back.
2. Adding onto this, his organs. He clearly still has some of them but.. starts removing them slowly, mainly to produce agony and use remnant, to forever possess himself ( like the games , like Michael Afton ( or so the common theory so far is that Michael possessed himself because of Agony and Remnant ).
I do think that he might briefly be already doing this, but's still more alive than not, hence why he's got an IV and needs mobility aids to get around.
Not to mention the Remnant didn't heal everything. He still has jagged metal bits stuck inside of him. On his neck and eye in the graphic novel, but its more in the book.
I do believe his eye isn't his original as the Springbonnie suit would've probably pushed its own eyes into his skull, or his outside of his skull.
So on top of that he probably is legally blind in both eyes ( not to mention that again the novel depicting something poorly. He doesn't have a robot eye, he has no eye in his right socket. ( though robot eye is kinda fun <3 )
3. Its implied Circus Baby did put him back together. That she did the surgeries and the remnant trials on him. No offense to her, especially because she is a robot / possessed by a minor..........she's probably the reason why he's so fucked up so far.
If William was well enough on his own he probably could have done better. But obviously he wasn't.
In fact as Springtrap in TTO ( the twisted ones ), he was on an Agony/Remnant high. Having "zoomies". I believe this is why Springtrap can chase people whether he is more "alive" like in the books or undead in the games ( and possible movies ). Because otherwise he'd probably just move slowly like a zombie.
4. This is nothing, but even more minor rambling. I always took it as he wore sleep clothes not because he's "grandpa" but because he is ill, as well as that is all that is what is most comfortable.
I do wish people would think things through before being ableist or ageist. William is most likely in his mid 50s in this book series. Which is.. Older, but admittingly at this point in my life i wouldn't say thats old/grandpa. ( i feel like 60 is just on the cusp though ).
I mean think about it. You, are in so much pain, that everything that you touch, hurts. But you obviously have/want to be decent. So you have to be as comfortable as possible.
I can vouch for this as someone with chronic pain, but i cant vouch for ( large body ) scars nor will i speak over people with them.
To end this, I'm not saying all this to have people sympathize or go "aw poor baby" ( if you do this i hope you explode actually . Don't infantalize disabled people ! ).
But because i think its interesting. I also don't think people realize that like.. William self harms, a lot. He doesn't care about his own health too much as long as he knows he won't die ( or at least knows he can come back from it ). He is horribly afraid of his own death.
I am neurodivergent, i love him ( #plurality ), and i had an energy drink
TLDR: I think William's design from TFC is actually way more interesting and way more detailed than people realize.. the Graphic Novel and the Book just don't talk about it too much because well. It is made with kids in mind.

What the text says:
( Red ): Bandage
( Orange ): IV Drip
( Green ): Metal
( Cyan ): Stitches from *CB putting him back together.
( Blue ): Mirror to Watch from certain angles?
( Light Blue ): Scarred / Regrown skin.
( Indigo ): Vocal Cords exposed.
( Purple ): Missing eye + scrap metal.
( Pink ): Wires to Stablize / recharge left over Agony ( or just Life Support ).
Please tag me if you use this for reference!!! I would love to see. ( though no credit is needed of course ! This is just ideas thrown together ) /genuine
*Animators Black is when artists use other dark colors ( usually blue or purple, but sometimes grey ) in place of Black ( example: Nightmare Moon from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Luna from Sailor Moon, and Hordak's Hair ( Netflix She Ra ).
*CB being short for Circus Baby.

PLEASE do the toontown online rant i want it so badly
this post kinda got away from me, and by "got away from me" i mean this 3000 word toontown rant is Part One. there will be a Part Two to this later in which i actually talk about the fanservers i wanted to talk about. anyway let's go
toontown online (tto) was a children's mostly-turn-based subscription MMO released in 2003. after a few years of obviously being on life support, disney gave a one-month notice that tto (and several other games) would be closing on september 19th, 2013. on the same day the game closed, the fan-run server toontown rewritten (ttr) was announced (with multiple other fanservers/fangames/reimaginings being established since), and is a few months away from outliving the original game
see, one thing about tto that allowed fanservers to crop up so quickly and easily was that it had, um, interesting choices. very interesting choices. like, "kids could use a code injector to turn their backyards into giant mashed-together nightmarescapes"-level choices
youtube
(loose video description: a rabbit toon running around a chaotic mismash of rooms, obstacles, and npcs that Should Not Be There. audio caption: Evanescence's "Bring Me To Life".)
but ok let's talk about the actual game first.
toontown online (tto)

the game starts with you creating your player character - you can pick from eventually-9 species, a couple body types, and 2 dozen preset colors. the gender code is a spaghetti nightmare but you won't learn this until the fanservers come about so don't worry about it. you're then taken to the Toontorial, which explains maybe 20% of the game's mechanics before setting you loose into the main game
the toontorial also gives you the basic "plot", such as it is: Toontown is suddenly* under attack by a bunch of boring businessrobots called the Cogs. their goal is to turn toontown into a dreary gray featureless corporate hell; their business activities are so boring that they're physically painful to be around. luckily, they can't take a joke, so the toons have figured out how to defeat them: by playing pranks on them until they laugh so hard they Explode
*originally, the game installer had a little animation giving a backstory for the Cogs' creation. this was never referenced in game, removed pretty quickly, and i think even the devs kinda forgot it existed
that's...pretty much the whole story! in that context, your toon progresses through all of toontown, helping some mostly-pretty-interchangeable shopkeepers, reclaiming buildings from the cogs, eating ice cream, etc. occasionally, the cogs would Come Up With New Tricks (read: major content update) and the toons would Find A Way To Fight Back (read: same major content update). that was the closest thing to Plot, unless you count "the devs scheduled a bunch of invasions of high-tier cogs right before the game's closure". but...i doubt most the kids really expected a Plot. mickey mouse was there
the gameplay:
the Free Account
there were two...pretty different approaches to playing toontown online. when the game launched, there was a 3-day free trial to the entire game, after which you got kicked entirely until you subscribed. at some point, this was changed so that the first area, Toontown Central (TTC), was Always Free - you could do all of that area's quests/"taskline" and limited activities, indefinitely, and in theory this would make you beg your parents for the rest of the game
i have no idea if this actually got more subscriptions or not. from what i can tell it just spawned more warrior cats
(source)
there were. a Lot of warrior cats. there were some other social activities, too, such as Fashion Shows (with your limited range of clothes) and Begging Subscribed Players To Summon Cog Buildings To TTC and Getting Chat Banned. ...however, as one of the subscription kids i didn't really interact with this side of the game, so i'm not the best person to talk about it
2. the Paid Account
mmm look at those crisp clear graphics. hell yes
a subscription account gave you access to this whole map, along with all these areas' tasklines. to progress through the game, you must complete a variety of "ToonTasks" for the Toon Resistance (it's called that. their catchphrase is "Toons of the World, Unite!". you were giving disney money for this). these reward you by increasing your max health (your "Laff Points"), slowly unlocking more combat options, and sending you to different, higher-difficulty areas of toontown
some of these tasks were...longer than others. generally, though, they all boiled down to: "just go fight some cogs"
combat:
(source)
toontown battles are turn-based: the players use their attacks ("gags") first, and then any surviving cogs attack you with, usually, office equipment and puns thereof (unless the cog is e.g. a Loan Shark, in which case they can just fucking bite you). if you defeat a cog, it explodes; if the cog defeats you, you "go sad" and are sent back to the safety of the playground, lose your gag inventory, and can't leave until you heal.
early on, most your battles are 1v1, but later on almost everything is a multiplayer 4-ish-v-4.
an...interesting feature here in the game's early days was that you could only Type Your Own Words to someone who shared their "friend code" with you IRL. otherwise, you had to use this thing:

(source)
you had a set list of phrases you could string together, which generally covered most the things you wanted to say. but it could get frustrating when you wanted to have a real conversation with your toontown friends! so...as the source above mentions, people obviously found ways around the system. turns out that if you let players move objects around their houses, they will use that to Draw Letters and pass their friend code along regardless
eventually - before the warrior cats, of course - disney presumably realized this system was pretty goofy (🥁) , so the game got a real chat, albeit one that functioned on a very strict whitelist. my favorite is that it didn't let you type numbers, however you could just say won too tree for hive etc. like. disney i really don't know what to tell you. anyway

(isn't he charming)
cogs come in levels 1-12, with levels displayed above their heads, and as you'd expect their damage output and HP increase with their level. however, the game doesn't...actually show you cog HP? instead they have a little colored light on their chest that fades from green to red until they explode. you see numbers on all the damage you do, and you see your own HP/laff, but never the cogs'. also lategame cogs are Too Tall For You To See Their Level once they line up for battle (which isn't actually that bad but it's funny). there's a formula for HP per level, but it's never mentioned in-game. i guess someone can teach it to you but then you have to watch them type "a level tin cog has won tree too health" and is that really worth it
(as you can tell i just…don't get this. "my kid is practicing arithmetic with toontown!" - marketing angle expressly denied by god. the stealth edutainment was right there)
anyway! in theory, you have seven base combat options ("gag tracks"), which combine in a variety of ways:
toon-up, which restores your teammates' health;
trap, which does guaranteed high damage but only if someone uses lure;
lure, which stuns the cogs for a few turns and is the only way to make trap work
sound, which does low damage to every cog;
throw, which does medium-high-ish damage to one cog; multiple throws combined give percentage combo damage, and hitting a lured cog will also add percentage "knockback damage";
squirt, which is exactly like throw but less damage;
and drop, which does high damage but cannot hit lured cogs, and has low accuracy unless you hit the cog with something else first
each gag track has 6 levels, which you unlock by using that gag track a bunch. you can't carry as many of the high levels with you - i mean, putting one piano in your backpack makes perfect sense, but two is just silly, right
a few years into the game's lifespan, level 7s were added - these were huge AOE that you could regain with every 500 track EXP. there was also something called "organic gags" to promote the please-log-in-every-day gardening system
every player starts with throw and squirt, and throughout the game you slowly unlock four more gag tracks. your choices are permanent: once you have your six tracks, you're locked out of the seventh forever.
in theory, all of this opens up a huge variety of combat options!
in practice, the battle strategy looks something like this:
use sound
as mentioned, almost all of lategame will be 4v4 battles, which means sound will almost always outdamage everything on earth. you don't even need four foghorns (the highest normal sound gag) to break 200 AOE damage, and the highest health a cog EVER has is 200*. and two of the boss battles can reward you with gag restocks and heals that you can use mid-battle with no consequences (other than having to grind for those rewards a bunch). and failing THAT, you can just...ration your foghorns and take 2 turns to clear a set of cogs, interspersed with healing.
(*okay there was something called "v2.0 cogs" but they were...strange, and we just used sound anyway)
sure, once level 7s were added you could use those occasionally. and you could fall back on lure+throw if you didn't want to use your sound restocks. but even then, for most of tto's existence there was something called the "knockback bug" which. well. just look at it
(link for transcript. it's tvtropes sorry)
if you are a target-audience eight-year-old this translates to "lure + throw will only do enough damage if the cogs Feel like it." like it's really just insult to injury at this point. this was the result of One misplaced variable and was not fixed until the game closed
in the tto era, if you didn't have sound, you were kinda doomed to be kicked out of every fight forever
(bonus fun fact: there were Four entire battle themes and they were 40-second midi loops. let me out)
the bosses:
each of the four cog departments has a Boss Cog. to face off against them, you have to assemble a cog disguise and collect enough merits/stock options/whatever to be allowed into the boss's office.

(pictured: your convincing disguise)
when you enter, your disguise pops off due to Reasons, and you have to fight through...a bunch of waves of normal cogs. it's basically a really long normal battle. once the minions are dealt with, you have to, inexplicably, do a live-action battle against the boss themself:
youtube
(loose video description: four toons defeating the CFO by using magnet cranes to hit him in the face with safes for 32 seconds.)
the live-action rounds aren't supposed to go this quickly, but it's still...kinda strange? certain reoccurring game areas require Parkour, but there are no battles like this outside of the Four bosses. the CFO's room is the only place you see these cranes and they have A Lot Going On. the other 3 bosses have their own unique weird mechanics. before the first boss was added we neither had nor needed the ability to Jump. it's just weird
once you've defeated the boss, you're given a reward of varying usefulness (the best/most unbalanced reward type is Unites, which are a free heal or gag restock you can do inside or outside of battle. essentially lategame toons can simply choose not to die. riv2u etc.)
and, um. then you get some more merits/stock options/whatever and do it again. and again. and again. and again. and agai
the grind:
so the thing is that tto was a subscription mmo. every addition to the game had to be measured, above all, in terms of "how can we best get kids to beg their parents to give us money." this especially shows in the suit grind:
(source/source)
you have to defeat each boss 78 times in order to get all their laff points - and as you proceed, you have to defeat an increasing amount of cogs to even be allowed into the boss (although once you max you get in for free).
by far the easiest way is to run through the designated HQ facilities - basically, cog fights interspersed with some platforming or minigames. you only collect your merits/whatever at the Very End of the facility. the only way to increase what a facility gives you is if your last battle ends during an "invasion" - a timed period where One Specific Cog replaces all street cogs, usually summoned with boss rewards.
the sellbot HQ grind isn't so bad. bossbot HQ - the endest-game HQ - frequently requires you to do an hour-long facility and on six separate occasions you have to do seven of them. if the invasion ends before your final battle, you have to sit around until someone summons another. if you lose your internet connection because it's 2008, or if your parents make you come to dinner, or if hacking or the game's general bugginess cause a server reset because you're probably in the busiest district for the invasion bonus, you have spent that Entire Hour On Nothing. the CEO (bossbot cog boss) probably also takes an hour because you and your fellow players are 10
this shit, combined with laff points locked behind gardening (time-gated), racing and golfing (multiplayer minigames with absurd requirements), and fishing (RNG-based with some fish being absurdly rare. i watched my mom fish for one every day for a month), meant that maxing a toon took Years, if you managed it ever.
it wasn't, um. it wasn't good
ok so what else is wrong with this game:
i had "aged out of the game" (lol) by the early '10s, so i'm not the best person to do a writeup of the hacking/scripting situation of those days. that said, what i'm going to do is give you a few examples, and i want you to just...look at them
(source)
(source). early '10s youtube was funny i'm trying to decide if i miss it
(source). fun thing to note here is that other players had collision, so a swarm of t-posing toons could just barricade the gag shop if they wanted to
youtube
(video description: toon who has Replaced His Head Model With An Anime Logo throwing thousands of jellybeans at everyone) (cw mild flashing just in case? and also the feather headband accessory)
i should note that the Bring Me To Life vid i started with was client-side, meaning only the player could see their technicolor hellscape. this guy's face was server-side. i do Not Think you should be able to do that
youtube
(video description: a player demonstrating use of a bot to get into the nutty river district, followed by other players using it to go to different game areas)
the above video was posted on august 17th, 2013. if you don't want to watch an Unregistered Hypercam 3 recording at about 5 frames per second, what's going on here is:
the player goes to a specific location and says a specific speedchat phrase.
a bot toon teleports to their location and provides some prompts on how to use it
the player tells the bot, via speedchat, to teleport to the (currently closed from the outside) busiest district so the player can follow
these "taxi toons" were server-sided, persisted across server resets, were made by a future fanserver dev, had younger kids referring to them as a "glitch" as if this were something that could Accidentally Happen, and stayed functional until the game closed
like...a lot of the "hacking" was just baby's first script download. this one - afaict also created by the laughing man head guy - is like...the fact that after years of no substantial game updates, someone effectively programmed their own "QOL feature" (note: not actually good for the poor mid-00s server being turned into a clown car) into a silly disney MMO and it just fucking sat there for a year is just. it's just.
i don't know what this is. this is not Playing The Game Toontown Online. this is nothing. this is everything. there are comments from 2013 on some of these videos saying stuff like "hackers killed toontown", but your game cannot have this happen if it is not already dying
and, like...it was. i'm not sure how many moderators there were by this point, but at the very end of tto, the number of active devs was One. the original devteam recently brought this up at the 20th anniversary celebration: devs just...slowly started getting pulled from the game, one at a time. there were a few updates after bossbot HQ - Field Offices, which i've basically never heard anything good about in their tto form ever; the Silly Meter, a yearly event...thing whose main function was to add unskippable dancing-inanimate-object cutscenes to your street battles; Parties, which...yknow parties were okay actually. i accept parties. but they weren't exactly a Major Game Update like the ones that had come before. in 2011 we gained the ability to Wear Hats. in 2012 the test server got some actual QOL updates that never made it to the main game; the final test server update was some maintenance in february, and then nothing for 18 months. disney was not providing enough resources to address the scripting because disney was not providing enough resources to address toontown. imagine being the last dev standing on an MMO that was older than some of its players, was losing its business model to mobile gaming, and spent most of its life falling apart at the seams. just imagine it, for a second
it couldn't have kept going, not like this.
on august 20, 2013, the closing announcement came: we had a month left of toontown online. the test server shut immediately; subscription refunds went out, and the game became actually F2P for the month; the part of the announcement that went like "we're shifting our focus to other games!" made a bunch of twelve-year-olds hate club penguin as if club penguin wouldn't also close in a few years; all the holiday events went off at once; and...
there wasn't a "thanks for playing!" popup. everyone online just got kicked, all at once. it was finally over
hey wait.
#toontown#toontown online#tto#tft talks#tft stuff#<- this goes in that tag i think#this was like. enrichment. thank you

I'm losing it over this because why is cuddles colored in
Ok so I’ve been sitting on posting this one for like, a while because it’s also like. Really weird that Cuddles is in color right? Cus like usually the color is only used boards to either draw the guidelines or to differentiate/emphasize something (usually blood lol) from the rest of the environment. It’s obviously not the guidelines since Cuddles is fully colored and like it’s just him. And like, I suppose it could be the second option but I don’t see a reason for Cuddles to be highlighted here??? You could make him out just fine in black n white if wager.
But I do have a theory, a board theory if you will. So I’m 90% sure Lippy’s boards are done digitally, mostly based on how dark the lines are and just like the general strokes looking more digitally done than traditionally. This means that stuff can be easily copy and pasted which leads to like the main meat of my lil theory. Ok so not only is Cuddles fully colored but he’s also in an oddly stilted pose for the boards, considering how loose they tend to be. And ontop of that I did manage to recognize the pose from somewhere, because like I think about this series too much.

Doesn’t the board Cuddles look p close tto the back pose in his turnaround? Like it’s not 1-1 since the outlines in the board are black and also his head isn’t perfectly round for some reason but like! It’s pretty close! So yeah I think Cuddle’s back render was just pasted into the board and then maybe outlined to be more visible. Idk man that’s just what it looks like to me <33
(From TV episode 7B Hole Lotta Love)
#htf#happy tree friends#submitted boards#htf mime#htf cuddles#btw this isn’t like a dig for copy and pasting and such#like Lippy’s boards are great especially with the expressions. Dude can paste a render once n a while#like most artists do that just cus there’s a shortcut doesn’t mean ur not putting the effort in#anyways lol this post was a YAPFEST#sorry yall lol lmao

what happend, I wonder, that made them suddenly go from " Tommy is gone, get over it" to now furiously pulling out one theory after another out of their asses as to why him coming back is not that bad AksHualLy because....he dies? he has a boyfriend? he has a boyfriend and then dies?
This lot spend MONTHS spaming peoples inboxes trying to FORCE them into admiting that Tommy will never be back and Lou was fired and now they all seem to have gotten marching orders from somewhere that the new self soothing mantra is "well, yeah he´ll come back to die"? Curious, I tell you. Very curious. I just hope that all these re-shoots were done because Eddie fucks off tto Texas forever, Ryan has a new permanent gig on some other show and Ravi becomes a main. Once their saviour is gone they will stop worrying about Tommy
I don't know what goes through their minds, honestly. Like, they should stick to the words their precious "journalists" wrote and know that Tommy is gone because of those "exit interviews." I mean, I don't keep track of bts stuff or what people might know, but from what I understand we have no proof that lou/tommy is back at all? The bucktommy side is just having fun speculating possibilities and that pisses off the other side bad enough that they have to come up with all these different scenarios where, yeah, he comes back, but it's AWFUL!
And, I mean, maybe he does come back, and maybe it is awful, but... so what? It'll suck, sure, but at the end of the day it's a tv show and I can still ship buck and tommy even if they never share the screen again.
Here are all the rumors I've gotten in my inbox, just for funsies:
He's coming back for closure
He's coming back with a boyfriend
He's coming back with a boyfriend to help Eddie pack up his things and that's when Buck decides to move on
He's coming back to die
He's coming back to die and then buddie canon 8x15
I'm gonna have a rude awakening in 8x11
I think that's it, but I can't really keep up anymore lol The funniest thing is how much they care. They care more about Tommy than any bucktommy fan that I follow. It's wild how much space he takes up in their minds. Good for him!

(isat spoiler, THIS TIME IT IS TRULY FULL GAME, THE FUNNY ACT 6 SECRET INCLUDED, BE WARY)
(also cw for murder)
TTOS version of the act 6 pre-fight dialogue from ISAT
(The Favor Tree.)
(You take a step forward...)
(The sun is shining.)
(The wind is blowing through the village.)
(The tree's leaves rustle around gently.)
(The place
under the tree
is empty.)
(You walk a little farther, look around, trying to see if there's anything left behind, but...)
(There is nothing. Siffrin is gone.)
(Why?... Where did he go?...)
(Or... He was here to help you with the loops, right?)
(The loops won't happen anymore, you're too exhausted for that, so has Siffrin disappe-)
(!)
(You see something shine, where Siffrin used to sit.)
(You pick it up, and.... it's a Silver Coin.)
(....huh.....)
Pockets -> Souvenirs -> A Silver Coin
"A silver coin you found under the Favor Tree."
(You look at the coin from all angles.)
(There is nothing special about this coin. It's standard Vaugardian currency. It has no recognizable grooves or special designs.)
(And yet, you know.)
(You've seen this coin before.)
(The one which was with you throughout almost all of your journey.)
(The one which you had in all of your loops.)
(The one left in your pocket right now.)
(And the coin you're holding.....is identical to it.)
(But why is a perfect copy of your coin....here?)
(...)
Loop: "Sif."
(Nothing.)
Loop: "Sif, answer me."
Loop: "Or should I call you by your previous name, instead?"
(...Siffrin descends from the thick crown of the tree, just like when you first met.)
(He is silent, looking straight at you, with a fake smile and no emotion in their single eye.)
(There is nothing in their appearance resembling you. You might not even belong to the same species. And yet....)
(You are certain.)
(This is you.)
(You take out your own coin, flip it, aiming it at Siffrin for him to catch it...)
(Siffrin catches the coin without even diverting his gaze and flips it in the air.)
SIffin: So, starlight. Siffrin: You won! You defeated Euphrasie, the Scary Lady! Siffrin: You even broke the loops, Loop!
(His voice is seemingly joyous, but then he starts laughing.)
Siffrin: Haha! It was kinda funny, wasn't it! Loop, stuck in the loops! Siffrin: And now they break free! Finding out why this is happening, finally finding the courage to talk to their friends!
Siffrin: ...Which means my role as a guide is done. You should leave.
(The fake grin turns into an almost hostilely neutral expression.)
Loop: (...) "..."
Siffrin: ...What? Siffrin: Don't you want to leave to your friends? Siffrin: To finally finish your journey? Siffrin: ISN'T THAT WHAT YOU ALWAYS WANTED?
Loop: (...) "..."
Siffrin: ...Still here?...
(Siffrin closes their single eye.)
Siffrin: Then let me tell you a story.... A story which has been erased from existence.
Siffrin: I was once in your place. Like you, trapped in the loops, not knowing what to do, desperately trying to find a way out.
Siffrin: I even had a looping companion, just like you had me.
Siffrin: And like you, on one of the countless loops, I found out about the Wish. Not the one I made, but the other one.
Siffrin: And I rushed to the companion! I thought, "wow! I finally figured it out! I need to share this!"
Siffrin: And I told them! The Wish, my theory, the way I could maybe break out using it....
Siffrin: But it wasn't happening that day. Because.... my companion snapped.
Siffrin: And I learned a lot in that moment! In a cruel twist of fate, they were also previously looping in time, like you, like me! But they couldn't beat the person occupying the House for thousands of loops, and when they did it was all for nothing! So they gave up their Wish for another, to escape from their prison. And they ended up in mine.
(Siffrin does a brief pause, as if to collect their thoughts.)
Siffrin: And in that moment.... they had enough. They had enough of me succeeding. They HATED my progress. And so.... they made a third Wish - to be back in their place.
(?)
(But, if their place was-)
Siffrin: "-where Siffrin's place was, where are they then?"
(!)
(You realize, now.)
Loop: "The companion's name...."
Loop: "...was Loop."
Siffrin: Correct! You're so BLINDING smart, starlight! Siffrin: And Loop stole everything from me! My origin, my story, my struggles, my friends! And as I learned today, it was right at the end! Siffrin: And the best part? They don't even remember!
(Siffrin starts quietly laughing, then louder, and louder, it becomes almost maniacal, he can barely stand, holding his stomach....)
(And then suddenly he stops, as if he never laughed in his life.)
Siffrin: You're very smart, Loop. You even avoided some mistakes that I made. But you could never expect yourself being another me rather than me being another you. And who is to blame you. This....
Siffrin: ...is absurd.
Siffrin: And since you refuse to leave even now, I have a VERY fun idea! Siffrin: We shall fight! Let's have a cute, miniscule battle, like two siblings with the same cruel parent!
Loop: "..."
Siffrin: Nothing to say? Good! Don't want any words from your blinding mouth anyway! Siffrin: STARS, killing you will make me SO HAPPY! Siffrin: Ready?~
Loop:
Siffrin: Nuh-uh! No choice! We are doing it RIGHT NOW. Siffrin: Time to shine, starlight!

ok so the thing with tgwdlm is that everything seems to fit into the right places right? like, it's a story about pokey, the world's first vriska kinnie to end the fucking world, doing a invasion-of-the-body-snatchers upon some random fucking town which i initially headcanoned was in oregon but like. in all 5/6 years of having this thang in our collective conscious, as well as 2 other musicals and 2 seasons of a anthology series under our belts, i have never ONCE seen ANYONE mention THIS???

which is like, it makes absolutely no sense! not in the context of the show, not really in the context of hatchetfield as a whole! seems like a fourth wall break in a way but hatchetfield, despite being centered around the narrative [see: @/singalongpokey's numerous posts on tgwdlm] never reallly breaks it. maybe it's supposed to be foreshadowing in a way, for something later on in the saga, or maybe its just a fucking bit im overthinking, but it's still really fucking weird and we all need to talk about it more.
however, my personal theory is that the infected - by extension pokey, and maybe the other lords, are aware of the fact they are fictional, in a story. TTO, where what appears to be a proto-blinky gets introduced, we are "the watchers". maybe we're meant to be extensions of bliklotep, his eyes. and this kinda means we may be the reason they're suffering, after all, what's a show without a audience? we did pay for tgwdlm after all.
anyways im probably otherthinking a bit

PB OMGGGG?!?!?! i’ve been so obsessed with tto lately and oh my gosh the most recent chapter was AMAZING!! i’m so excited to see where the story goes from here!
there’s one thing i cannot for the life of me shake out of my head whenever i read it: how deku and katsuki treat y/n,,, sort of like a /daughter/. ik it’s a bit strange and i could definitely be reading into things differently because of past experiences but omg especially in chapter 14 with katsuki’s whole “family meeting” and whenever deku says something like “sweetie” i just keep thinking “wow they’re like like y/n’s dads!” …except the two of them have a relationship and sex with her LOL. it’s so strange but so fascinating their dynamic.! i just can’t shake the thought of maybe deku n katsuki taking her in to help their relationship in the same way some couples think having a child will save their relationship :/
also in a previous chapter where deku picked y/n up after she went drinking and he told her to keep track of how many drinks she has reminded me of how maybe a parent would want to raise their child to be different from themselves/another parent (katsuki in this case because of his drinking problemo). it was giving very much father-figure attitude.
and just the way y/n’s person is sort of like an afterthought to them (especially in chapter 14), sort of like a baby to a parent; as in, like, the baby is just an extension of the parents and it’s the parents deciding every aspect of the baby’s life. except with babies, it makes sense lol because they’re literally babies. but y/n is an adult which makes the dynamic a bit unhealthy.
idk i could definitely be reading into this weirdly but i just thought it was interesting. love your work sm!! ty for blessing us with your writing, pb <3 hope you have a good rest of your week!!
(same anon who had the whole fathers-daughter analogy for to's katsuki/izuku/y/n dynamic btw) ALSO I WAS SO IRRITATED WITH IZUKU THIS CHAPTER BECAUSE HE DIDNT APOLOGIZE UGH. so excited but also scared for what the trio's future holds like from the beginning the unhealthy traits the characters have were there and i'm not sure what to expect.
Mhmmm! They are her sugar “daddies” after all.
You bring up so many great points, and it gives such an ill, pitted feeling in your stomach when you realize they’re completely aware of how they treat (Y/n). We’ve seen in this most recent chapter that, while Izuku is more vocal, Katsuki is not innocent either. How much puppeteering is being done behind the scenes?
I think a few readers have wondered Izuku and Katsuki’s motivations for not wanting (Y/n) to drink, and Izuku getting upset with her when she didn’t know how much she drank. Comparing Chapter 14 to Chapter 13, (Y/n) drinks alcohol with them at dinner, and there is no problem, Izuku even jokingly “allows” her to, so why is it such a problem if she drinks when she’s out with her friends?
The issue is about control.
There are a lot of issues about control in this relationship. Keep your eyes open for some other examples.
And yes! Izuku didn’t apologize! What do you think that could mean? Apologies often symbolize remorse. Hmm.

And finally....the moment of truth...
So ive been working at a movie theater over a year now and used one of my movie passes to see Beetlejuice beetlejuice and my short review of it?
SPOILERS BELOW
3-3.5 out of 5 or 6-7 out of 10 so good/pretty good like slightly above mid.
But I still liked and enjoyed it a lot, it was fun and I liked the nostalgia fuel being a fan since childhood in the late 90's and 00's and I plan to see it 2 more times, once in 4DX (thank you employee discount). I also have merch put aside for me at work lol
The good
It was fun, well acted, practical effects were great, music was well implemented into their scenes and great choices of music, Catherine O hara stole the show as Delia, sets looked amazing, especially the netherworld iim glad we get to explore more of it.
I liked the jeremy twist (although the hints were kinda obvious to me At least to me). Their parallels to Beetlejuice and Lydia were good and i also felt a parallel between Jeremy and Beetlejuice's teen death rocker alter ego he used to trick lydia from the original unused script, Maybe iits just mee tho.
It is sad to see Lydia become a shell of herr self over the years not tto mention addicted to pills but i think its an interesting way to go especially with her ptsd from beetlejuice, I can see it. (I just wish they used this more as an explanation on her current state and the rift in her relationship with Richard and Astrid as well as as lydia's powers)
I enjoyed the parallels too the musical seeing lydia sort of adopt Charlie's role and astrid be in the shoes that musical Lydia was interesting. Not sure how intentional it was with that or if it was intentional at all tho.
the not so good
The begining slogs a bit, and once we pick the pace up it feels rushed especially during the wedding after the musical number (which Was good), other parts seem rushed too, it feels like a lot going on at once like they pushed multiple ideas for sequels all together which also gave a lot of new characters barley anything to do and made me feel liike they're kinda useless.
I love Delores, im absolutely self shipping with her but it feels like shes just there for eye candy and to be the ficy "other woman" trope.
Willam Defoe's character is fun in theory especially a cocky actor/stuntman playing a cop who died from a scene and is a wannabe cop in the afterlife but in execution he feels pointless.
I wanted to like Astrid more, im glad she wasn't like horribly written, I LOATHE when activist characters especially young ones are written by people who make them unlikable and obnoxious but she felt kinda .... boring sorta like a bit of a rehash of movie and musical lydia (with a dash of cartoon) in one but we only get glimpses into her interests and a lot of it is similar to Lydia even the activist part. And yeah obviously she can share interests with her parents I get she probably got it from them but i wanna know other stuff about her. Although a thing i do like is she is a sceptic while Lydia knows the paranormal exist.
Sorta related to that above there's a bunch oof cool ideas i wish weren't rushed through or they'd explore more.
we also get more netherworld lore which is cool and good but some of it leaves more questions then i had for years with the original.
lastly because this is my biggest Tim Burton beef is that there was still racial stereotypes in the film, he has learned bit over the years with Wednesday but it's still obvious he has some way to go with the Asian dry cleaner and the Soul Train scenes where we see most of the black characters in the film mind you probably the most black people we've seen in any Tim Burton film LOL (speaking as a black fan)
WOW uh I wrote way more than expected lol i have more thoughts but that's it for now, hopefully I will be posting here more in the near future.

Watched the first episode of Fantasy High Junior Year. Took a hot minute to realize that all the references and NPCs weren't things I just forgot about from sophomore year. Felt like I was watching a season finale before watching the season and was so confused! Without getting too spoilery, he should have known better than to try that AGAIN, the minis are INSANE!, I have a theory on an upset stomach, get ready to take 10d8 psychic damage from cringe, my bestie paused it in the first few minutes to magically solve all the problems, and can I slap a fictional character? Also, watch the Adventuring Party talkback because honestly it helped me understand the fuck was going on!
Random question, but any preference on how I should tag spoilers for anyone who needs it? I was thinking either fh junior spoilers or junior year spoilers, but I'm open tto other suggestions.

Some character concepts I draw for my fic The Mysterious Flame of King Firan [中文/ENG] based on King of the Dead.
The fic is inspired by Planescape: Torment and The Prague Cemetery by Umberto Eco. I'm a huge fan of both, especially PST (you can check out my ao3 profile), and I loved the depiction of incarnations, amnesia, and paganism in those. I always wanted to write something after I finished reading KOTD and LOTN because Firan and Darcalus reminded me a bit of TNO and TTO. I created a language based on real life linguistic theories and Darkon lore, with its very own evolution, although I haven't translated that interesting part into English yet.

Okay so, head up, I think your videos are cool and I respect the effort and work you put into theories. I also understand not every theory is going to be actually reflective of views, instead following different roads of logic to see what seems the most likely.
But the big reason why I think robot people being in the games is such a reviled concept by so many people, is that it feels like a lame twist that doesn't really accomplish anything and doesn't really go anywhere. And part of that is the source material it comes from. (Warning: long and emotive analysis incoming)
In the actual Fourth Closet book Charlie being a robot isn't handled well. She's written as a mostly normal human person with internal emotions, struggles, and thoughts only to be completely discarded because she's "not real". As soon as it's revealed, she immediately kills herself and Elizabeth with no narrative buildup, and the only possible resolution is a cliffhanger ending that is never fully explained and left up to speculation. We don't really feel the weight of this on anyone, except possibly John, who never discusses it with anyone and never actually ponders what that might mean beyond feeling bummed the girl he wanted to date is dead and also not human. It also gives Circus Baby a very needlessly convulted backstory for the sole purpose of having her run around in a humanoid form and double down on the henchwoman characterization introduced in FFPS.
It doesn't even really explain much beyond a few strange lines and wonky plot threads, it's a thing that happens and despite Charlie being a protagonist she doesn't really get to react to this.
Sammy is completely dismissed as a concept despite it being such a big deal in TSE and TTO and the whole point of Charlie's arc of acceptance and grief. And we get one line saying he's actually alive... and living with the mother Charlie herself mentions talking to in the past. It's a mess.
The only character who is made more intresting and given more weight by this reveal is Henry. Because it changes perception from "flawed man struggling with mental health but ultimately a very loving to father" to "all the above but also with those flaws much more prevalent and damaging". It's fascinating because what he does is incredibly messed up on so many levels, yet entirely understandable. Henry in the novels is a straight up antagonist, not a villian, and not actively malicious, but someone very poorly coping and causing harm by proxy. And that's reflective of a lot of people who are understandably struggling and need support, but at the same time refuse help and find themselves sinking deeper while their loved ones feel helpless. It's deeply tragic, and leaves Henry being a much more nuanced character, mainly because of the fact Charlie doesn't know quite how to feel about him. When she's still allowed to have thoughts, at least.
The whole point of the Charliebots is that grief and loss can make vulnerable people susceptible to delusion, and how that effects the children around them. Both the Charlie-bot and Circus Baby are shaped around trying to conform to a grieving parent who wants them to fill a role that at a certain point, they simply can't. The moment Charliebot stopped living past the age of three, she simply wasn't reflective of that real little girl anymore. She was someone new, based on the hopes and dreams her family had for her. The Charliebots are so so intricately linked to this theme, that I really feel removing the idea of androids from it is kinda insulting to the whole premise.
William blatantly says he couldn't build robots like that, Circus Baby is build upon a failed experiment her modified for his own use, even the Twisteds were implied to be a joint effort. He also simply didn't see his kids in the same way, I truly don't believe he would drive himself to that same point of delusion for kids he just doesn't love.
I've seen some fanauthors right really compelling narratives around these ideas, but they simply aren't in the actual texts. To approach something purely logistically is to deny to narrative and emotional potential of it.
Yes, it's 100% possible. I don't doubt Scott might try to do it. But that doesn't make it impactful. So if he doesn't want to engage with the premise outright, and doesn't say it outloud, then why should I care either? If he's not going to committ to the idea and explore it, then neither am I.
Glad you generally like my videos! And I understand that perspective, but I disagree. Honestly, I think robot people works great thematically for the modern era.
Ithink part of the interest with Charlie being a robot is that she's a robot, but she IS alive. She's not the original Charlie, but because of Henry's emotions she has her own soul.
With William, his goal iirc wasn't to create a human *looking* robot. His goal was to find a way to create that same spark of life that Henry did, but he wasn't able to. Elizabeth was the closest but she's still an actual human soul inside a robot.
When I suggest that robot people are present in the modern games, I don't think they were made out of love, and I don't think they have that artificial soul that Charlie in the books had, hence the connections to CC and Elizabeth. Heck, we know for a fact that there are robot people present in Tales, so why would that be impossible in the games? The issue wasn't making a human looking robot, it was giving said robots life.
Just because we can't see the end goal at the moment doesn't mean there isn't one. Additionally, assuming Scott isn't going to engage with the premise or saying it out loud is probably something to steer clear of. After all, the main evidence I use for Gregbot isn't the weird vision or him looking like the Crying Child, but the wall code in the Sister Location room that describes Gregory in SB to a T while also saying "I built the breath they hunt drawn to life not real still keen" etc. That seems pretty "out loud" to me given the obscurity of most things in these games tbh.
So I do think Scott has committed to the idea. That's why there are 3 robot people in Tales. That's why there are 2 Vanessas. That's why there's the wall code in SB. To me, it seems as though the themes of Help Wanted and onward are highlighting where the line is drawn between the real and the artificial, the virtual and genuine. And imo, having characters who blur the line between the mechanical world and the real and the spiritual adds pretty well to that whole theme. We just haven't seen everything play out yet since we're only partway through the arc.
I understand if you disagree, but I think writing it off as something to consider would be the wrong move personally. Hope you have a nice day :D

To add to my 'Starkid is working for the LIB' Joke Theory - remember how I mentioned that Tinky's obsession with Ted in the Hatchetfield universe may be to hide Tinky's true obsession with Joey Richer?
When Pete was played by M*nion and later Nick, not a peep from Tinky. This may make sense for TGWDLM, but Time B came before Abstinence Camp.
But in NPMD, when Pete is played by Joey?
'Oh boy, A Spankoffski! I'm going to have the whole set in my toy box!'
How are we to know Joey's roles are just Multiroling? Maybe they're all different Joey Richers from Tinky's Toy Box.
And haven't you recently said you find Ted attractive? Maybe Tinky is making you vulnerable into being his new Toy
(AGAIN JUST A JOKE!!!)
This theory makes so much sense! It’s like Joey in TTO but different because it’s TED multirolling! Darn it, Tinky, just because I said you were my least favourite Lord in Black doesn’t mean I should be your new toy! 🤬
