Jeremy: Wait- that's your big plan? To steal back four dead originals so this evil hybrid doesn't kill me and everyone else we know? Damon: You got a better idea? Jeremy: Yeah! Let's get the hell outta here! Pack our bags and go! Elena: Hey, Jeremy calm down. Jeremy: No, no!! I'm not gonna calm down, Elena! This happens every time, no matter what we do! Get on my case about school and work...Who cares? None of us are gonna make it out of this town alive.

[Alaric and Elena go up to Jeremy's room. The door is open, and Elena knocks on the doorframe.] Elena: Hey. Can we talk? Jeremy: Ahh, what did I do now? Elena: I've been thinking about what you said earlier. About how we should pack up and go... Jeremy: Elena, I didn't mean any of that. Elena: But you were right. You shouldn't have to give up a normal life- just because of me. Jeremy: What's going on? [Damon enters the room.] Damon: Your sister thinks we should have another one of our talks. [He sits down on the bed at Jeremy's side and starts to compel him.] Damon: Here's the thing, Jer. You're gonna go out of town for a while- a long while. You're gonna stay with some nice family friends in Denver, you're gonna be at a new school, you'll meet new girls, living girls. You're going to drink a few beers, take an art class. You do whatever you want. Alaric: Tell him he's gonna leave Mystic Falls behind and never think twice about it. [Damon looks at Elena; she nods in agreement.] Damon: You're gonna leave Mystic Falls behind and never think twice about it. You're gonna have a better life, Jeremy. [Elena is crying.]

311: OUR TOWN

Elena: So, I have something I need to tell you, and you're not gonna like it. Bonnie: What happened? Elena: Jeremy is gonna be leaving town for a while. He'll be staying with some old family friends in Denver, until this whole Klaus thing blows over. Bonnie: Jeremy wouldn't just leave you to deal with Klaus on your own. Elena: I know...I asked Damon to compel him. Bonnie: You what? Elena: I know, Bonnie. But it's not safe for him here anymore. Leaving will give him a better life. The only reason I'm telling you is because I know that you two haven't really worked out your stuff. And I thought that maybe you'd wanna say goodbye.

Caroline: I might have texted Tyler. Elena: Caroline... Caroline: What? I'm delicate. Bonnie: Give her a break! You can't control what everyone does all the time. [There's an awkward silence.] Elena: Wow. Matt: Ouch, Bon. Bonnie: Sorry, I know it's Caroline birthday, funeral or whatever but, I just feel it's really wrong that you compelled Jeremy to leave town. Elena: I'm doing it to protect him, Bonnie. I want to give him a chance to have a quiet normal life. Bonnie: He should be able to choose how he wants to live it, you're taking his choices away. Elena: Bonnie, you can't tell him. Bonnie: Why? Are you gonna compel me not to? Matt: You know, you guys are ruining a perfect funeral. Bonnie: I'm sorry. I'm just gonna go sleep it off or something. Happy birthday.

istg I think some people either forget things, get confused by things or just quit watching a show at some point and can't remember lol like someone giffed the 3x10 delena kiss and someone commented it was katherine like???? let me remind everyone the katherine scene was 1x22 not S3 and the scenes are completely different, different conversations!! the delena one was emotional and beautiful and romantic and in the 122 one you can tell it's not elena there's little things that give it away lol like I can understand people being confused because their both on the porch I've seen these comments several times but like watch the show before commenting or rewatch because it's really frustrating and annoying ngl lol

uuuugh they continue doing frankenstein wrong

victor has TWO brothers to choose from and they make up a random new one

(not to mention that he's assembling the creature in an actual lab with an assistant and not alone and slowly losing his mind in his student dorm, but ... seriously. it's a travesty that no adaptation made use of the fact that he's a sleep-deprived teenager when he creates life)

at least they name papa frankenstein his actual name, but also, making him a villain in victor's story??? when his death was the last straw that held victor's sanity together after the deaths of william justine henry and elizabeth???

and victor, for all his faults, was never down for murder until he lost literally everything and began seeing hunting down the creature as his duty (and also a reason not to throw himself off a cliff). there's a reason he robbed graves for bodyparts, and didn't take them fresh.

like, graverobbing and 'it's for science!!!' aside, he does have strong morals. he fucks up because he's a coward, yes, but also because the morals he has were not intended for the extreme situations like the one he found himself in.

the thing is, he's less of a mad scientist and more of a sleep-deprived twenty-something who had grand ideas and now his world is falling apart in front of his eyes. he's grasping desperately for straws and trying (sometimes failing, sometimes suceeding) to be a good person in it all

The Last Episode of TVD is on my birthday! Why Me?

While it is entirely possible that Landon will be revealed to be Malivore in 310, I truly don't think these writers would have let us think it was really him for so long? In true tvd fashion they probably would have given us some ominous clue to him being bad at the end of this episode (like, his eyes changing color or clear veins of black, you know?)

So instead I think the reveal is about Cleo, considering she was willing to use black magic in this episode. Though, I don't think she'll be a villain. Or at least I'd be disappointed if she was. I think we'll just learn "something terrifying" about her past. Or that she came to the school with ulterior motives.

I guess for me since I only really started watching after 309 I tend to pinpoint that or 310 as where it got bad, if only bc I started noticing storylines not really working out/plot holes. it was more obvious for me then as I wasn't binge watching. the back half of s3 had some really messy stuff but I'd get people to watch for the originals + gilbert family. s4 had good moments but large parts left me hating the show so mixed feelings

I feel like if you started watching then, the you are definitely getting a different experience than people who were watching from the beginning, which isn’t like a bad thing at all, you just have a different perspective, and I imagine it the show drew you in BECAUSE of the Originals? assafsfda see I’m glad you starting watching then because idk what tvd/to fandom would have been without you. I just didn’t like them until their own show?

It’s rly funny I used to loathe Klaus whit every fiber of my being (mainly because he stole Elena’s boyfriend) and then on TO he’s one of my faves.

I do think S3 is good, like, I’ve bought it for myself on DVD, I think it’s worth having and worth watching, there’s a lot I like about it, but like you said, it was easier to see a whole lot plot holes not working in that season. For example, I was really excited for Stefan’s ripper arc but I felt that didn’t really have as much consequences as it should have so I stayed in perpetual disappointment. S3′s backhalf definitely had messy stuff but like....I still kept watching because they gave me vampire Elena lmao. It was all I ever wanted at the time.

S4 is def what made the vast majority of my friends quit the show in disgust. The sirebond was a turning point for people, including me, I think I realized the show was NEVER going to improve it’s sexual assault/rape problem (it’s been a theme from the beginning but I naively thought the show would get better about it and Damon raping Caroline and Andie would be addressed and important eventually, but...no. The show never cared). I almost quit because the whole was triggering to me but I really loved most of Elena’s arc that season, sot here’s no way I can actually hate it. I think it was the last time I had hope for Bonnie’s storyline ;___; I kept thinking BONNIE IS FINALLY GONNA GET A MEATY STORY ARC and it ended with her dying :|
