This combines the basic plot of an A-Team episode with the desire to be a Cool Grown Up Action Movie, with boobs and explosions and a body count, to rather jarring effect - plus it's set in the absolute ass end of Ireland, for some reason. Brosnan heroically digs into the scenery, and he does look very pretty, but he can't save this weird misshapen chunk of nonsense.

Hubert James Marcel Taffin de Givenchy, más conocido por Hubert Taffin de Givenchy o Hubert de Givenchy, fue uno de los más destacados diseñadores de moda franceses.

Nació el 20 de febrero de 1927 en Francia y murió el 10 de marzo de 2018 a los 91 años.

It’s summer, everyone! And with its relatively sparse list of new releases for July 2021, Hulu seems to be subtlety imploring its subscribers to go outside.

Don’t get us wrong: Hulu’s library offerings get a big upgrade this month. July 1 sees the arrival of great films like Galaxy Quest, Fargo, and Caddyshack. Bill and Ted Face the Music premieres on July 2 and its followed by Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar on July 9. Not bad stuff! It’s just that, outside of the library titles, there isn’t much to go off of.

Hulu’s only major original release this month is the FX on Hulu production American Horror Stories on July 15. As its name implies, the show is a spinoff of American Horror Story and will feature self-contained horror episodes rather than a season-long arc. If you’ll allow this geriatric millennial to deploy one truly ancient meme: “Yo dawg, we heard you like anthologies so we put an anthology in your anthology so you can anthologize while you anthologize.”

The day after American Horror Stories premieres is the release date for McCartney 3,2,1 – a docuseries about Paul McCartney. Peter Jackson’s epic The Beatles: Get Out docuseries is coming to Disney+ in November so hopefully this will be a nice amuse-bouche.

Il conte Hubert James Marcel Taffin de Givenchy, all’età di 24 anni ha creato, grazie al sostegno finanziario di Louis Fontaine (proprietario di Prisunic’s Retail Empire), la sua haute couture home. Nato nel 1927, a Beauvais, Hubert è stato, in età precoce, ispirato dalle fashion magazines a lavorare per Balenciaga. Così a 17 anni, il futuro stilista, inizia a lavorare come assistente designer con Jacques Fath AS STUDIO grazie all’aiuto di un amico di famiglia e studia all’École Nationale Superieure des Art a Parigi, contro il volere della famiglia. Nel 1946. grazie al famoso illustratore Christian Bérard, Hubert De Givenchy si trasferisce, come designer, da Robert Piquet lavorando sino al 1948 e, con raccomandazione di Christian Dior, lavora da Lucien Lelong perfezionando le sue capacità tecniche. Poi lavora un anno per Jacques Fat e sino al 1951 da Elsa Schiaparelli dove era molto più di un assistente infatti fu promosso come creative director della flagsfhip store situato a Place Vendome, rendendolo il primo couture prêt-à-porter haute couture house.

All’età di 27 anni, nel 1952, debutta con la prima collezione “Les Séparables” a suo nome. Il successo è immediato. In particolare desta grande interesse la blusa bettina, dedicata alla celebre “mannequin” dell’epoca Bettina Graziani. L’anno successivo avviene l’incontro con Audrey Hepburn, la quale diviene la sua musa, incarnando l’ideale estetico femminile da sempre ricercato nelle sue creazione. L’attrice veste i suoi abiti sia nella vita che nei film che interpreta, divenendo ambasciatrice del suo stile, caratterizzato dal taglio classico abbinato ad una fantasia profondamente sentimentale. Tra gli anni ’50 e gli anni ’60 sono molte le creazioni iconiche che lo stilista lancia nelle sue collezioni: l’abito a camicia “shirt dress“,nel 1957 l’abito a sacco “sack dress“,nel 1958 il cappotto “balloon“, l’abito “baby doll” e il mantello a collo avvolgente, l’abito a palloncino e l’abito a bustino dell’anno successivo.

Fin dalle prime collezioni si distingue per una ricerca di tessuti e forme di un’eleganza mai banale. Dopo 4 anni di collaborazione come braccio sinistro della Schiaparelli, Hubert De Givenchy crea la propria casa di moda. La stampa è entusiasta per Givenchy alla sua prima sfilata, il New York Times “A Star is Born”, mentre per Figarò  ” Hubert De Givenchy  becomes l’enfant terrible“.

Nel 1953 il modello “Capucine” occupa la copertina di “Elle” francese ed è la prima di molte altre copertine e le celebrità come Lauren Bacall, Greta Garbo, Sophia Loren, Gloria Swanson, la duchessa di Windsor, Françoise Sagan, Hélène Rochas, Marlene Dietrich, Michèle Morgan e l’imperatrice Farah Pahlavi divennero clienti della maison.

Nel 1955, Audrey Hepburn viene nominata migliore attrice per il suo ruolo in “Sabrina” e l’abito disegnato da Hubert, che l’attrice indossa nel film, ottiene lo stesso successo.

Nel 1957, costituisce una nuova impresa, Parfums Givenchy affidando la direzione al fratello Jean-Claude. Dopo le prime difficoltà, il successo arriva verso la fine degli anni ’60, grazie al lancio dei profumi De e L’Interdit. Quest’ultimo, inizialmente creato in esclusiva per l’amica attrice Audrey Hepburn, prese solo in un secondo momento questa denominazione, che in francese significa Proibito. Le caratteristiche del profumo, dai toni fioriti ed aldeidati, esprime l’immagine di perfezione che l’attrice comunicava. Nel 1959, Hubert de Givenchy propose due fragranze maschili a completamento della linea di prodotti: Monsieur de Ghivenchy e l’Eau de Vétyver, originariamente pensati per se stesso. Nel 1970 vi è il lancio di “Givenchy III” con lo slogan Who knows why we remember a woman and not another one? Givenchy III gives memory to me ed è un tale successo che a Beauvais viene costruita una fabbrica per far fronte alle ordinazioni. Stesso anno viene creato il logo da Hubert De Givenchy per la maison. Nel 1971 Hubert De Givenchy ha disegnato una mantella che poi Riccardo Tisci  ne fa divenire un icona dello stile Givenchy.Nel 2007, per i suoi 50 anni, la maison Givenchy ripropose varie creazioni, tra cui L’Interdit, Vetyver o Givenchy III.

Hubert de Givenchy ha creato i guardaroba personali e di scena dell’attrice Audrey Hepburn, come anche l’abito nero di “Collazione da Tiffay” che diventa uno degli abiti più famosi della house, e per aver vestito clienti come Jacqueline Kennedy, l’imperatrice Farah Pahlavi, Marella Agnelli, la principessa Grace, la duchessa di Windsor, la cantante Frederica von Stade, le attrici Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo, Lauren Bacall, Jeanne Moreau e Ingrid Bergman. La più celebre testimonial del marchio è stata Audrey Hepburn.Fin dalle prime collezioni si distingue per una ricerca di tessuti e forme di un’eleganza mai banale. A sostituire il designer Hubert de Givenchy nel 1995 fu prima John Galliano, che però fu sostituito dopo breve tempo da Alexander McQueen. Nel 2001 il progettista Julien MacDonald è stato nominato Direttore Artistico per la linea donna, mentre nel 2003 Ozwald Boateng è stato nominato il progettista per la linea uomini. Nel febbraio 2005 lo stilista italiano Riccardo Tisci diventa direttore creativo della maison.

Riccardo Tisci, tarantino di nascita, era ancora piccolo quando la madre Elmerinda rimasta vedova con 9 figli decide di lasciare la Puglia e di trasferirsi in Lombardia. A 17 anni si trasferisce a Londra, grazie a una borsa di studio, e si diploma al Central Saint College. Lavora successivamente come freelance per marchi come Puma e l’italiano Coccapani, prima di firmare un contratto triennale con Ruffo Research. Per la settimana della moda di Milano, Riccardo Tisci, presenta una propria collezione nell’autunno 2004/2005. Subito notato viene contattato dalla maison francese Givenchy, in breve diventa direttore creativo, curando haute couture, prêt-à-porter e accessori. Alla vigilia della presentazione della prima collezione di Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci il designer ha spiegato: “What I want to do, actually, is to continue with the Hubert De Givenchy spirit translated for todays modern woman”. Nella collezione autunno/inverno 2006 viene lanciata la borsa “Nightingale” moderna ed elegante, funzionale disponibile in quattro dimensioni a seconda dell’uso per il giorno o la sera. Nel 2008, la star internazionale Madonna lo contatta per disegnare molti dei costumi del suo Sticky and Sweet Tour, e Riccardo Tisci realizza alcuni costumi art-deco e gypsy. Nel autunno/inverno 2009, vi è la presentazione della borsa “Pandora” che offre un designer senza precedenti e con una forma inizialmente ispirato da un riquadro rettangolare. Mentre nel 2010 viene presentata la borsa “Antigona”, un altro classico degli accessori firmato Riccardo Tisci’s Givenchy. Ispirato da un dettaglio di designer delle sue collezioni, Riccardo Tisci realizza la linea “Obsedia”. E’ del 2012 il lancio della borsa “Lucrezia”.Nota l’amicizia tra Riccardo Tisci e la modella Mariacarla Boscono, presente spesso nelle campagne pubblicitarie di Givenchy, nonché nelle sfilate della maison. Altrettanto nota è l’amicizia che lo lega alla stilista Donatella Versace, che ha prestato il suo volto a Givenchy per la campagna autunno 2015, primo caso di una stilista che s’impegna per la pubblicità di un’altra griffe. Nell’aprile 2016 compare nella lista per la categoria “Artists” tra le 100 persone più influenti del 2016 secondo TIME.
