Picking Dad!Calum up from the airport.

Tai was six months old when Calum had to go on another tour. This time it was a smaller European one, thankfully only two weeks. It would be hell and back for the boys with the time zones but nothing they couldn't handle or something new (but at that point they were rarely new things regarding flying).

Nevertheless it was harder for Calum to leave this time around. Not only having to say goodbye to you but also Tai.

Little Tai who was learning and growing every day. Right now training on motor skills and learning how to sit up. Something Cal loved to practice with him every day.

He was completely taken with his and yours little one. And you loved watching them. Two peas in the pot. Tai was Calum as a kid again just a bit more stubborn, trying new things everyday and ambitious to get his way. You already knew that toddler years were not going to be easy.

It was a Friday when the boys returned. Catching a flight overnight and would be landing around eight. You were thankful, meaning you could take off from work and be able to pick Calum up.

Crystal and you planed to get Cal and Mike together. Since Crystal was too pregnant to be able to drive but still wanted to pick Mike up. You offered to get her.

You got up early. Tai needed a feeding at around six. Thankfully Tai loves cuddles in the morning. So after the feeding you could cuddle your little one while he bubbled to you in his baby language. Exploring his own fingers and occasionally your face. You tried to take as much cuddle time before he was too old and wouldn't want to be squished by you. Alone the thought made you hold onto Tai older.

At around seven thirty you got up. Walking to Tai Harry Potter themed room (something you had insisted on as soon as you knew you were pregnant) and getting him ready. Taking some clothes for him and changing his diaper as well as getting him dressed. Giving him a little bite ring for his growing teeth to keep him occupied.

Once Tai was ready you went back to yours and Cals bedroom and getting ready yourself before going down and making sure that you eat. Tai was already rolling around and playing happily.

You were glad that his mood seemed good. Tai was usually a calm baby but even he had his bad days and getting him into the car sit when he is crumpy would have not been good. Especially because you didn't want to stress Crystal out. Preganany was hard enough and you didn't want to make it harder for her.

Before you stopped at Mikes and Crystal's you made a stop at the flower shop. You smiled and gave Tai a kiss once you got him out.

"Let's get Daddy his Welcome Home present, Tai." You pressed another kiss to his head while he responded to you. Little baby giggles coming from his once he saw the flowers.

Tai was at least a bit familiar with the shop and flowers since it was a normal trip Calum or you took him at least once a week.

You walked a bit around the shop. Watching in between for maybe something Tai would react to and he did to a bundle of yellow tulips. You grabbed them together with a couple red and pink ones.

The florist was nice enough to make a bouquet out of them for you while interacting with Tai who was trying in his one way to get to the flowers, eyes wide watching the nice lady and arms towards the flowers.

Once she was done, you thanked her and payed. Taking the flowers in one hand, Tai in the other arm and hurried back to the car. You took your time and now were almost late to pick Crystal up.

Grateful she was already standing outside, you parked close to her.

"Hey love"

"Hi Crystal" She gave you a little kiss on your cheek and  turning around cooing to Tay before getting her seatbelt on. Once she was ready you started driving and making your way through the streets of busy L.A.

"I'm so excited to see Michael."

"It's time they get back." You agreed while taking the turn to get to the parking place of the airport.

"Was it hard on Tai?"

"He seemed like he was searching for Cal sometimes. Especially in the morning but he seems fine."

"Hm, I really nervous for the next tour."

"Don't worry. I know it's not easy but if you need help then you can always reach out. I'm sure KayKay and Sierra would help, too."

Crystal gave you a thankful smile while you parked the car. Both of you getting out and you grabbing Tai and the flowers. Crystal smirking happily at the flowers.

"This is so cute that Cal and you still give each other flowers." You could feel your cheeks hearing up over her comment and a smile on your lips.

"I hope there won't be too much people."

"Mike said they took an earlier flight so maybe we should be good."

You nooded to her and once you arrived at the pick up area there were just a few older people standing. Close to them Sierra and Kay Kay with Hayley (Ashtons and her two year old) who you both greeted. Talking among you all with Hayley interacted with Tai. Watching the baby closely and taking his hands. She was so distracted she almost missed her dad coming out first.

"Dada!“ Once she caught a glimpse she ran over to Ashton followed by Kay who greeted him.

Calum right behind him you walked over to him. Both of you having big smiles. He hugged Tai and you for a while. Holding you close before Tai began protesting.

"Hey buddy. Were you good for your Mama?" Tai watched Cal with wide eyes and a big smile. Making baby voices back at him and Cal pressing endless kisses on his head.

Before he could take Tai he saw the flowers in your hand and pressed a happy kiss on your lips.

"I missed you two so much."

"We missed you as well, Cal." You gave him the flowers and he smelled them for a moment before pressing another kiss on you.

"Thank you, my little flower." He whispered against your lips before taking Tai as well. Ashton came over and you took the time to greet him and Luke as well as saying bye before you all split to get to your cars.

"Hey, little buddy." Michael greeted Tai, holding Crystal's hand and walking between her and Calum. Both of them getting in the back with Tai between them in his seat.

It didn"t take long before you got back to Michael's and Crystal's, saying your goodbyes and getting back to yours. Calum holding your hand the whole way to your house.

Once you got back, Cal took Tai and his suitcase while you got the flowers. Putting them in a vase while Cal sat down with him, laying Tai on his play mat to have tummy time and roll around.

Once you're done you sit down next to Cal and he leans against you with his head on your shoulder.

"I can't wait for tomorrow." He whispers next to you and your turn to him.

"Why?"

“I have a surprise."

"You're going to tell me what?“

"Nope, it's a surprise and you going to have to wait." He teases while tapping your nose. You roll your eyes at him before pressing another kiss on him. Playing with his hand and fingers.

"I love you."

"I love you too, my Wildflower."

Where do you see yourself in 10 years: I really don’t know, I’m having a mini crisis over next fall, so 10 years is a big unknown. Something with books/writing, in a perfect world, being part of a historical society, but my town woefully doesn’t have one.

If you could be anywhere right now where would it be?: Bahamas or Cozumel, that’d be nice right about now. Beaches, scuba diving, and endless Mai Tais please.

Your coolest halloween costume? Lady Loki last fall was pretty fun, Lorelei Gilmore the previous year. Favorite 90s show? Friends for me too.

Last kiss: Bedtime, my littlest gave me a kiss goodnight.

Favorite pair of shoes: platform mary jane wedges that are uber cute and still comfortable for a long night.

Favorite fruits: grapefruit and raspberries.

Favorite book: This is a difficult one. I try to read a good amount of books per year, so they sometimes blend. These are some of the most memorable reads that have stuck with me - The Yellow Wallpaper, Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, The Hate U Give, anything by Maya Angelou, Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Robert Frost, A Prayer for Owen Meany, Something Wicked This Way Comes, The Haunting of Hill House, We have Always Lived in the Castle... just to name a few!

Stupid thing: Too many to count with Sims 2, accidentally deleting folders I needed (and emptying the dang recycle bin), loading the game and forgetting CC. Moving the same sim into a hood, twice! Binning an occupied house on accident.

Dad!Calum getting Flowers

Seven months ago you found out that Calum and you were going to be parents. You two tried to conceive for a while and almost after a year you got the positive result you two had hoped for. Pregnancy was not easy either, especially with Calum being on promo tour for the first few months after you found out. He barely knew about your little one before he had to leave. The first time he didn’t like going on tour (at least apart from when he first met you). But thankfully he somehow got Mali to fly out and help, being excited to meet her little nephew and be with you as "Protection“ as Calum jokingly worded it.

The first few month’s while Calum was gone morning sickness was hitting you quite hard and you were thankful once you hit the six month mark that it vanished. Still your body had a hard time adjusting to your Baby. Calum did everything in his power to make you feel as comfortable and pretty as possible (even while being thousand miles away in Europe). You were really lucky to have him by your side. So you even tried your best to make him feel good about being the possible best soon to be Dad there was while he was away. Thankful for even having his brothers help you set up some surprises.

It was quite known that Calum loved to receive flowers and you loved to gift them to him. So for every new month or major step stones during the pregnancy you decided to gift him flowers with little updates. All messages written from his soon to be sons perspective. Calum absolutely loved it and the boys loved writing messages in his son’s words while he was with them.

You originally planed to do that while he was away but just kept going when he came back because you enjoyed it (and never go tired of seeing the shine in Calums eyes when he read the messages. His smile wide on his face and cheeks very evident.)

You really hoped that your son ended up at least looking like his dad. And indeed he did. Tai Ari Hood was the carbon copy of his father as baby.

You also had considered different options on how to get your little bubba on earth side as best a possible and ended up with deciding for a home birth. Calum supporting you all the way through it especially for the last 24 hours the birth ended up lasting. It was pain but also joy to finally have little Tai in both of your arms. You were so happy laying in your own bed after being checked, cleaned up and the midwife left. Now it was finally just you, Cal and your sweet but fuzzy Tai. Counting all his ten fingers and all ten of his toes. One of the best part was seeing Calum with your little newborn while having first skin to skin contact. Seeing little Tai starting to adjust and noticing his papa while laying on his (Calums) chest.

You watched them for a while before wanting to take a picture of the two. And once you were done an idea came to your mind and you waited for Cal to hand you Tai and go take a shower before making another order.

It didn’t take him long. Only in some shorts before getting back to you. Giving you a kiss on the head.

"Don’t you want to sleep, love?“

"Hm, I can’t.“ You watched your little one. Holding his little hand in yours and playing a bit with his fingers.

"Why is that?“ When you looked at Cal, his eyebrows were furrowed and he generally looked concerned. You smiled at him.

"Because I just had your baby and he looks so much like you that I can’t stop admiring him.“ You teased while Cal groaned and layed his head on yours. Placing a few kisses against your head.

"You are truly amazing.“ He whispered to you just before the door bell rang and you two looked at each other.

"Who is that?“

"Could be the boys?“

"No way. I haven’t told anybody so no one except our midwife should know.“ Calum left the room while a cheeky grin appeared on your face. You knew it weren’t the boys and you couldn’t wait for him to see the two flower bouquets that were just delivered for him.

"Well let’s see how Daddy reacts to our little surprise, Tai.“ You whispered to your baby. The same smile playing on your lips when Calum came back with both bouquets. One being of pink hydrangeas and sweet peas and the other one being an arrangement of colourful carnations, orange gerbera, pink rose and lilies.

His smile even brighter than you imagined and the look of pure love in his eyes. He placed them on the window sill before getting back on the bed and first placing a soft kiss on your sons head, whispering a small thank you to him before placing a longer kiss one on your lips. You could feel that he couldn’t stop smiling.

"I love you, too." And in the corner of your eye you could see the two cards from the bouquets with the writing on them:

Thursdays are for the boys. That was the usual ever since Cal had moved with his brothers to L.A and even after 10 years nothing had changed.

Cal was still in the shower when all of them arrived. You greeted them with Tai in your arms and of course Ash immediately grabbed Tai and the three played with him in the living room.

Cal was getting dressed when you walked into your bedroom.

"The boys are here."

"I know I heard the doorbell, flower." You sat down on the bed and he walked over to you bending down to press a kiss on your forehead.

He put his jacket on. A smile playing on his lips while he took your hand and you two went to join Cals brothers.

All of them sitting on the two sofas in your living room. Tai on Ashtons lap, squealing at his uncle until he saw Michael with his favorite lama toy and he instantly moved from Ash to Michael, trying to grab it.

"Thanks Tai. Love you, too." Ash complained while you all laughed

"So much for favorite uncle."

"Zero fucks given. Next please" Luke chipped in while Ashton rolled his eyes.

"Oi, my son has ears. Careful he can hear you." Calum covered Tai's ears who than squealed and complained. You laughed and rolled your eyes over your silly boys before taking Tai in your arms, wanting to get him ready for bed.

All of them took the cue to grab their jackets as Calum pressed a kiss on Tai's and yours lips before you said goodbye to the boys. As you were taking Tai upstairs he layed his head on your shoulder, cuddling into your body with his little lama in his baby hands.

Baby, nearly big, boy Hood would probably be shy in the beginning. Everything is new despite having seen the kindergarten when you all toured different ones together.

You would try to say your goodbyes but Tai would hold onto you. His arms slung around your neck and cuddled into you. He is nervous and both of you could feel it. Calum, Tai and you sat down a bit farther away from the few parents and their children that were already waiting. Letting him hold onto you, reassuring him and giving him his own time to be ready.

"You're going to have such a great day, bud. All the kids are just a nervous as you are."

"Yeah, but I promise they are just excited to play and meet you."

"Play?"

"Yeah and during break time you probably going to see Alex as well. You two could play together outside as well if you want."

You promised your son and he looked at you with wide eyes as soon as you mentioned Michaels older son. He was only two years older than Tai and they both were already best friends. Much like Calum and Michael were that age.

"Where's Alex?"

"In class now, Buddy. I bet you can find him once the break starts."

Tai held onto you for a moment longer, hiding his face before signaling you to let him down. When he took your hand you could still feel and see him being a bit shy and nervous. Making you squeeze his hand gently to reassure him.

"It's going to be a lot of fun, sweetheart. You can learn a lot about animals and draw." Tai started to look excited once you mentioned his two favourite things in the world while he turned to Calum and you. Now standing between a few parents and kids.

He also caught the eyes of another boy standing what you thought was probably his mom. Both basically having the same hair and eye color. Smiling shyly at Tai and and both boys watched each other before Tai waved with his hand a bit. The boy took the sign to take the womans hand and walked slowly over to your son, now smiling back at him.

"Hi."

"Hi, I'm Tai."

"I'm Ezra."

"Wan' to go together?"

"O'tai"

Tai turns to you, hugging first Calum and than you.

"Bye Pops, Bye Mummy."

"Have a good day, my love. Mum and I are going to pick you up when kindergarten is over." Calum promised him as you pressed a last kiss on his cheek and let Tai walk over to Ezra as he just finished say his byes to his mom.

Both of them going to where the kindergarten teacher was, who greeted both of them and let them decide how since she had a game where the kids could choose between hand shaking, giving a hug, waving and dancing to greet herbefore going into the room. Taking a bit of time to greet each her new students.

Tai decide for waving and gave the teacher a very sweet but shy smile before he turned to wave bye one last time to Cal and you as he disappeared into the room. Ezra following him close behind.

Realizing that your not so little boy was a kindergarten kid now brought you close to tears. You looked over to Calum, making both of you laugh when you saw the state of each other before turning to Ezras mom. She smile at you two almost in the almost the same state, making all three of you laugh harder before Cal and her introduced themselves to each other.

"Hi, Im Calum. You must be Ezras mom?"

"Yes, I am. My name is KayKay and yours?" She turns to you, smiling and holding her hand out.

"Im Y/N. Nice to meet you. I have a feeling we gonna see each other a lot from now on."

KayKay and Calum chuckle over your words and all of you turn to walk out of the building. You wave KayKay goodbye and slide in your car. Looking at Calum and both of you laugh when you once again see some teary eyes in the other one.

"We have a big boy now, Calum."

"Only almost, love." He is caressing your cheek, smiling before starting the car.

Tai would just be confused where his little friend went. He doesn't completely realize it, yet but Calum would search far and wide. Scared for bed time since Tai never sleeps without his little buddy.

As well as being thankful that his little one already had his afternoon nap. Tai would play for a bit and have some baby biscuits as a treat while Calum would take first the living room and than Tais room apart just to find the plushie.

And Momma Hood probs went to do something with KayKay. Having been at hers and Ashtons to hang out and have a girls afternoon and just gotten back to find the living room a mess.

Calum just coming down the steps from upstairs. Tai happily squealing over seeing his momma while her man just looks like the world went down.

"Umm.. You wanna explain the mess?" Raised eyebrows and pointing with her thumb at the messy living room behind her while looking at Cal and taking their little one to greet him as well.

"The freaking lama is missing. I have no idea where it went after his nap." You chuckle over his words.

"Didn't you tell Daddy what we did after your nap, buddy?“ You turn to your son while tickling him. You signal Cal to follow you to the washing room and opening the dryer. You fumbling for a moment before taking the lama out.

"Here is the drama lama." Tai immediately grabs it happily while Calum groans.

"It's not a drama lama."

"Well, you're the one who makes the drama about the lama."

"You spend too much time with Luke. His bad jokes are rubbing off on you." Calum complains while laying his head on your shoulder and putting his arms around Tai and you.
