Starting point

Galu Devi Temple in Dharamkot is the starting point of this journey. You can hire a taxi from Dharamshala or Mcleodganj to reach this place. There is a checkpoint here manned by a forest ranger where hikers must check in by 2pm before the start of the hike.

Delhi to Dharamshala by bus

From Delhi it is best to take the night bus to Mcleodganj. A bus bound for Dharamshala will take you to the main square of McLeodganj. There are two bus options from Delhi. There are buses either from Majnu ka Tila (officially called New Aruna Nagar Colony) in North Delhi or from Kashmir Gate ISBT to Dharamshala. There is an average of three flights from Delhi to Kangra Airport. Flights usually arrive in the morning to late afternoon. There are no night flights to Dharamshala.
