~ The other Nereids did not share the same views of themself as Thetis. While Thetis’s view of their divinity was severed and chipped away upon being forced to marry a mortal man, and the disrespect they faced by mortals time and time again, made them view themselves as a minor goddess, nothing more then a water nymph. The other Nereids? They were children of the sea. Fifty in number. And they were powerful. Something Thetis had forgotten, their abilities extended past Immortality. ~
