He thinks so often of her hands, touching him, and her eyes, falling over him easily, and her lips, moving against his softly at first and then with more urgency, so much that the dreams fade into waking life. He reaches for her as she walks ahead of him, leading the way to the war room, and has to stop himself from touching her. Once or twice she looks back and almost catches him. When she catches his eye, she slows down to fall into step with him, slowly moving into his space, pushing against the edges of his daydream.

He pushes back. Theyre just daydreams, just the half baked hallucinations of withdrawal. They don’t mean anything. “The maps for the Wastes are ready, ma’am,” he says, shoving work in between them as though building a brick wall, task by task by map by report by requisition.

“Yes, good,” she says, just like in his daydreams as he pushes her against a wall or a haystack. “Thank you, Commander.”

a welcome distraction

Athena rolled her eyes but there was no malice behind the petulant gesture. “What ever shall I do with you?” Alistair was quiet while he pondered the question. “Let me love you.” Athena blinked. Now this hadn't immediately been on her mind but Athena wasn't one to look a gift horse in the mouth. At the very least, it would be a welcome distraction. A cheeky smile turned up the corners of Athena's lips and she pulled the sheets from her body, revealing milky flesh that peaked out from beneath her scandalously short silk slip, the lacy hem of which ended inches above her knees. She curled one finger and beckoned for her king to join her. Alistair's tanned skin took on a rosy hue as a fierce blush appeared on the apples of his cheeks and spread across the bridge of his nose. His boyish nervousness whenever they were intimate, even when he was the one to initiate, was something that Athena found endearing. She was the only woman that he had ever been intimate with and regardless of how far they'd come as a couple, the novelty of seeing his wife naked and splayed beneath him never seemed to wear off.

What is Templartations Exchange?

Templartations Exchange is a Discord server exclusive fics and arts exchange created to celebrate templar, ex-templar, almost templar, and conditional templar characters from the Dragon Age universe, such as Cullen Rutherford, Alistair Theirin, Raleigh Samson, Delrin Barris, Knight Captain Rylen, Carver Hawke, and others

Note: even though this is a templars-related event, members of the Templartations community DO NOT necessarily go with templars siding play-throughs nor share the in-game pro templars views. This is an event hosted for everyone to celebrate their favorite Dragon Age characters and appreciate the diversity in the fandom.

“Did Josephine send you to find me?” she asked, pulling him from his gluttonous trance and Cullen made a noise of affirmation. “You've done well to hide from her this long. I thought she was going to gut me when I said I hadn't seen you,” he joked. His hands came to rest on Diana's hips, fingers feeling the soft curve of her hips through her thin shirt. “If I have to hear another tale of what it would mean if this evening turns sour then I might pitch myself into a rift. I just wanted a morning of calm before all the craziness,” she explained, sighing quietly. She didn't have to explain herself; Cullen already understood. Cullen pressed a kiss to the top of her head and brown strands tickled his stubbled jaw. “And you're in the kitchen because..?” he asked, his voice muffled against her hair. Diana jumped back, suddenly remembering that she was actually in the middle of doing something and hadn't just been enveloped in Cullen's arms all morning. “I'm baking, and now you're helping,” she sang. Cullen raised an eyebrow. “Baking? Why?”
