Top 5 Vulnerability Management Tools Of 2024
Tumblr media
Imagine you're part of a security team tasked with securing a warehouse. Even if you're unfamiliar with the process, you would likely start by identifying all possible entry points, such as windows or doors that might be weak spots. From there, you'd evaluate these areas to determine which are the most vulnerable, like a backdoor with a broken lock that poses a higher risk than a window with a sturdy frame. After ranking these vulnerabilities, you’d focus on finding solutions—perhaps by installing better locks, adding security cameras, or reinforcing the windows. Lastly, you'd establish a routine to ensure everything remains secure over time.
Sounds straightforward, right? Now think of a Vulnerability Management Tool that simplifies this process even further for your digital security needs. Keep reading to discover the top 5 Vulnerability Management Tools of 2024!
In today's world, businesses must prioritize security both offline and online. While many invest in proactive solutions, they often overlook tools that act like silent guardians—watching for potential risks before they become major threats.

wish I didn’t have the disease that makes the presence of anything even tangentially connected to something I care about (a year a name a song I personally associate with it) trigger immediate and severe nausea because I mean just read that back again. I literally have a fandom allergy

My brain is completely addled by the common cold and sleep deprivation but somehow the election and everyone’s miserable posts about it has convinced me to get my shit together becuase if I’m going to be spending the next four years at minimum waking up everyday just absolutely hating my fuckin country and a lot of people around me then damnit I’m not going to be spending it hating myself too! There’s no fuckin way!

During the fall of capitalism and Land Back, I have decided that I am going to do a hostile takeover of the Amazon Spheres and free the plant friends from Bezos's grasp.
Also: I really want to grow tropical fruit trees that will absolutely not fit in an indoors housing setting :P

adolescence of utena is (in one aspect) a movie about reconciling the symbols we make out of real people who have deeply affected our lives, with the reality of who they really are, and figuring out who we are in their absence.

to be very honest with u burnout has been beating my ass for the better part of college the last 3 years and has really done a number on not only my creative inspiration but also just ability to write for myself. i still love it and im finding my way back while being gentle with myself but it is. like a lot
hoping this summer i can catch a bit of slack and find some time to work on some pieces that feel honest and like my voice but in the meantime thank you for being patient and for hearing me :))) it means the world and i appreciate u if you’ve ever read one of my pieces even one little sentence

Every time I finish a sketchbook I get consumed with 2-3 days of desire to go through and get pictures & digitally organize all the alpha-draft type thumbnails or comic planning into someplace I could organize my thoughts chronologically better but. Since i haven't done it for any of them yet and i just wrapped up sketchbook #27 it feels, ah. A little daunting lol

Whoops! Sorry I didn’t see that. I do want to point out (I’m sure you know) that in set theory a bijection *is* a set. So I disagree that there’s meaningful “opinion” to be had on which of these claims is “more ontological”
No need to apologise ^_^! I mean, the context here is that we're living in a post forcing world and we're still talking about the continuum hypothesis so clearly *something* a little funky is going on. We're not *just* talking about axiomatic set theory as laid down by the great prophet zermelo. And while I don't think anyone would question whether or not you could *represent* a bijection as a set of ordered pairs, I do think there's a legitimate question as to whether or not that's what a bijection in some deep down way *is*.
But as I mentioned in the tag here (x) I do think that option is untenable. Like, you're right. We agree. I just don't think it's an utterly ridiculous position to hold. I don't know who you are b/c nonny, but I think it's really understandable that you didn't see that I'd said any of this if you aren't following me or something.

You can't argue against a technology. No one has ever, ever, in the history of humanity, argued a technology out of existence. The closest we've come are nukes and human genetic engineering. Nukes exist and multiple countries have massive arsenals of them, but we've agreed not to use them because it would mean humanity's utter destruction. Human genetic engineering cuts right to the heart of a bunch of ethical questions about health, equality, identity, and so on, and also up until very recently genetic engineering has been a long and extremely expensive process. We'll see how long human genetic engineering remains taboo now that it's getting cheaper and easier. But these are absolute outliers. In the vast, vast majority of cases, I mean literally in virtually every single case, when people fight a new technology—for any reason—they loose.
There is no tenable "anti-AI art" position, just like there was never a tenable anti-loom position, or anti-railroad position, or anti-horseless carriage position. These things were doomed to fail absolutely from day one, as soon as the technology existed, and anti-AI art is doomed to fail just as utterly and completely. There is just no path here, if this is what you've hitched your wagon to I really do not know what to tell you.

My silly little Anglish novel, provided I ever get an extended chance to work on it, would be published as 2 volumes only - the work itself and an accompanying dictionary wordbook

if trans people ought to receive whatever reconstructive medical procedures they desire, and indeed they ought, then this cannot be specifically because they are trans, nor even specifically because they are the gender that they are—first, because this would reify transness as a medical status that demands treatment, which is an unacceptable concession to the authority of pathologizing narratives; and second, because there is no tenable argument that can be given for helping a trans person receive the medical intervention(s) they may desire that would not spill across the boundaries of both whatever gender the intervention is "supposed" to be for (why shouldn't a cis man be given a breast augmentation if he wants one?) and what are considered "gendered" physical traits in the first place (why shouldn't a trans woman get to have a surgically produced tail if such technology exists one day INSHALLAH).

my friend has got me watching this popular russian competition reality show about like psychics participating in Psychic Challenges to prove who is the Most Psychic (битва экстрасенсов/battle of the psychics) and it's pretty much what you expect (silly "tests", extreme credulity, loud personalities, bizarre editing, etc) but it remains an extremely fun time-waster... but like, the only english version we've been able to find is a youtube channel that uploads episodes in english (with ~30 views per video) that is really really obviously machine translated--like, it seems to have used a speech-to-text THEN a machine translation THEN a text-to-speech to dub the series into english, which has resulted in a wildly inaccurate & often nonsensical translation (one of my favourite exchanges was "What's your name?" "Scientists"), and this makes the show like barely comprehensible (you can only understand the broad strokes of what's going on, & even that requires a few educated guesses) & it's only a remotely tenable medium (lol) because we have a russophone in the room watching the original version on a separate screen and speaking up periodically to clarify the mistranslations, but on the other hand it's also like riotously hilarious, like the translation just makes people start saying death threats or talk about aliens apropos of nothing. anyway what im building up to is that theres one particular challenge im completely unable to stop thinking about, which is that the contestants were asked to like Use Their Psychic Powers to "Solve" the death of kurt cobain (it's about as tasteful as youd imagine lol) but like. the tts dub voices & accompanying subs keep saying it as. Kurtka Bane. & on one occasion Courtocabina
