The Japan no one knows. with pictures of Japanese people 100 years ago A landmark for those who travel along the streets A god with the name of a broom
Broomstick Ginko Tenmangu Shrine Ginko Tenjinsha
Giving nicknames to gods and sacred trees...just like giving names to big trees, rocks and landmark nature. Isn't this uniquely Japanese? I think so, but what do you think? The guardian foxes at Sanikoshinja are called "Konkonsan" and so on.
By giving this sacred tree a nickname, it may have become easier to recognize it as a landmark along the road and become more familiar with it.
By giving nicknames to gods and nature, we become as close to them as if they were our friends. I believe that in Japan, gods and humans are very close to each other.

A Japan that no one knows. The Traveling Blind. The Medicine Man of the Eye
Fumonji Temple
Fuchu City, right next to Fuchu Keiba Shomon-mae Station.
I don't know the details of its foundation, but it was destroyed during the Warring States Period. The temple was devastated during the Warring States Period.
The temple was rebuilt and Yakushi Kannon (Goddess of Mercy) was enshrined to reconnect with the people. Buddha.
The local public hall stands nearby, and the temple is a sanctuary that blends in with the local community.

Pasar loak besar bergerak masuk.

Sekarang pun kisah cinta mereka masih mempesona orang Jepang.

The Japan No One Knows. Destruction or Transformation? God or Buddha?
Kompira Shrine at Myokoin in Fuchu
When I first visited this shrine, I had the sensation of a fine, gentle light, more like that of a Buddha than the luminosity of a shrine.
A map of the shrine grounds from the Edo period shows that, for all intents and purposes, this must have been a Kannon Hall. We could not find out anything more than that.
I have a feeling that instead of us humans fighting each other during the former movement to abolish Buddhism, Kannon-sama took its place and was hurt and destroyed. It is a very gentle sanctuary.
I believe that it is the Buddha who is here, as his grave is also nearby.
