Elliot Shavers - Butter Bean (1963)
One of my favorite slices of early 60s rock & roll from tenor saxophonist Elliot Shavers. It's 2 minutes and 30 seconds long and I dig every second of it. Shavers was also an occasional singer and, I think, the bulk of his work was more in the style of rhythm & blues than rock & roll. This 45 was the only piece of his musical output I ever purchased so I'm hardly an expert here.

Forestella
is a crossover quartet from South Korea.
members:
Bae Doo-hoon (worked as a musical theater actor and as a guest vocalist in the gugak crossover band, baritone~tenor range),
Kang Hyung-ho (was working as a chemistry researcher, but he was a vocalist in an office band that won a workplace band competition, tenor~soprano range),
Cho Min-kyu ( leader of Forestella, leggiero tenor)
and Go Woo-rim ( basso profundo) (have won honorable mentions in vocal competitions)
The group was formed on JTBC's music talent show Phantom Singer 2,
The formation date is September 26, 2017,
They debuted in March 2018 with the album "Evolution".
Forestella is a combination of the English word Forest, meaning forest, and the Italian word Stella, meaning star, with the idea of making music that is as relaxing as a forest and as sparkling as a star. This is why fans affectionately call them Forest Stars.

god it's such a shame that i only discovered my ideal vocal range isn't soprano + which songs best fit my voice type + how much i really love belting songs like my voice is gonna cause a sonic boom only after i stopped being involved in theatre productions multiple times per year. like ugh so many years of being a random background character in school/summer camp productions bc sure i technically could hit the high notes but i was always slightly off pitch, why did no one ever take me aside and be like "let's see if this kid can belt a green day song and give her some self confidence"
i deserve a do-over of all my middle school/high school theater productions thank you very much

Hi! I’m auditioning for Next to Normal and I want to audition for Gabe. What would you suggest for song choices? I was considering I’ll Save the Girl from Superhero but I’d love more suggestions!
My range span from baritone to tenor to counter-tenor if that helps.
Love having options! In addition to the song you've already said, I'd look at something like The Killing from Jasper in Deadland, Your Eyes from Rent, Pity the Child from Chess, or All That's Known from Spring Awakening.
Break a leg!!

My partner: hey, so one of the theaters near us changed their upcoming season. They’re not doing Guys & Dolls anymore, they’re doing Jesus Christ Superstar.
Me, externally: oh, bold move, we’re still doing ALW shows out here?
Me, an internally religious trauma filled bitch ready to project every emotion I’ve ever felt onto Judas Iscariot: >:)

Audition songs for Patrick in the Spongebob musical?
For Patrick, I'd suggest In Summer from Frozen, Don't Let Me Go or The Travel Song from Shrek, The Pants Song from Be More Chill, Man or Muppet from The Muppets, Man Up from The Book of Mormon, I Can Do That from A Chorus Line, and The Goodbye Song by Joe Iconis.
