Former USWNT players to host digital WWC show

Former USWNT players Christen Press and Tobin Heath will co-host a digital series, “The Recap Show” that will run as a postgame show seven times during the FIFA Women’s World Cup. RE-INC will produce the show. That’s the company Press and Heath launched in 2019 with Megan Rapinoe and Meghan Klingenberg. The show premieres Thursday with a tournament preview and will run after each USWNT game in the opening stage.

The show will be available on RE-INC’s YouTube channel and as a podcast. Ally Financial, UKG, OOFOS and Tequila Komos have signed on as sponsors. Press, Heath, Shane Rahmani and Jaime Freedman are executive producers.

I did some googling because I was curious about the tequila thing too because Komos wasn’t listed in the end credits as a sponsor anymore either. But it turns out Superbird is owned by the same parent company as Komos, so I guess they just decided to change the partnership up a bit

Today in Good Spirits, Another Round of Tequila.

Tequila's 'legitimization' as a luxury spirit is no more evident than in its Tequila Komos acquisition. The Spirit of Gallo joins with former Master Sommelier and wine maker Richard Betts to take the award winning spirit to the top, citing 17% growth in the Tequila category in 2021 in a press release.

If the award winning product and the Komos-Gallo partnership weren't already a perfect recipe for success, the brand is also recruiting heavily from luxury leaders in other areas to create an unstoppable team to grow the unique product.

Komos Tequila stands apart for influence from Old World Mediterranean winemaking practices and also in its sustainability practices. Betts moved bottle sourcing to Mexico City, establishing the beautiful blue bottle, and successfully diverted agave byproducts, vinaza and baggazo, out of river runoff and into building materials suitable for use in their own Oaxaca distillery and in other infastructure projects in the Jalisco region.

As their 2022 Oscar commercial promises, Komos Tequila is "finished unlike any other", a reminder than maybe, with some out of the box thinking, it is possible to have it all.

Personality- They say it best, self-describing themself as a "beautiful chaotic mess swirling with masculine & feminine energy." They're quiet and thoughtful, and don't mind being a livewire. Their relationship status is currently "confusing."

*Even though there's no distinct preference towards specific pronouns, Ditus generally goes by he/they.

He has the standard abilities of a god. He has the power of flight due to his large wings (one wing is light blue with pink streaks while the other is light pink with blue streaks). As the god of bisexuality, effeminacy, fertility, & unions Hermaphroditus has several abilities like limited amokinesis, pheromone manipulation, having the power to affect a women's fertility cycle (inducing symptoms like PMS, cramps, bloating) and having an innate sense a person's fertility levels (& how likely they are to become a parent). He can also curse an opponent's reproductive organs, causing a burning sensation and he can curse an opponent to mentally switch genders, temporarily.

They have identifications of being bigender, gender fluid & non-binary.

Ditus lives in a mansion in the Chant du Cygne neighborhood of New Olympus, just a few minutes away from their good friend Ganymede (god of homosexual love & desire). Inside, the color scheme is blue, pink & purple. There's also a connecting workshop, where they work on their sculptures.

In the pantheon, he's also good friends with Pannychis (goddess of nightlife festivities), Aether (god of the upper atmosphere, celestial bodies, & heavenly light), Móda (goddess of fashion), Komos (god of revelry), Phaenna (goddess of jewels), Aerin (goddess of the ethereal); they've been close even before her transition, Iris (goddess of the rainbow), Peitho (goddess of persuasion & sensuality), Naeus (god of weddings), Chrysos (god of gold & riches), The Graces, Aphrodite (goddess of love & beauty), Gelos (god of laughter), Hermes, Adephagia (goddess of gluttony), The Muses, Nerissa (goddess of jellyfish), Aeolus (god of wind), Dionysus (god of wine), Mania (goddess of insanity), Pothos (god of longing & yearning), Apollo (god of the sun, music, poetry, healing, medicine, archery, plague, light, & knowledge), and Himeros (god of impetuous love). His friendships are really important to them.

Ditus does think that Hedylogos (god of sweet talk & flattery) & Horme (god of energy) are a bit too immature.

Ditus really admires Philotes (goddess of sex, friendship, & affection).

Their go-to drink is a triple berry margarita (a drink made with triple berry syrup, lime juice, tequila, & is then garnished with strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries). Ditus also likes cranberry grape soda & shirley temples (a non alcoholic drink made with grenadine, ginger ale, lemon-lime soda, & garnished with maraschino cherries).

They have a very successful up-and-coming fashion brand called andro-cene. Ditus started it after receiving loans from Aphrodite & Ganymede. It's style and accessories are very androgynous, appealing to gender non-conforming people. It's slowly been gaining traction, with a planned first ever fashion show coming up. For other work they also model for/endorses Bow + Arrow, Kaleidoscope Lab, Maison du Drame, La Petit Amour (cosmetics) & Graces' Glam. Ditus is also a co-chair of the All Love Festival, along with Ganymede. He's also a contributing writer for Kythereia magazine, Glamgerous, and Ganymede's LGBTQ+ magazine- The Rainbow Room. They've even been a guest co-host for Philotes' podcast Between the Sheets.

Ditus' go-to treat are mochi ice cream sandwiches! He also likes ambrosia salad (a dessert made with fruity mini marshmallows, maraschino cherries, whipping cream, shredded coconut, Greek vanilla yogurt, powdered sugar, pineapple tidbits, & mandarin orange slices), and vanilla cheesecake from Hollyhock’s Bakery.

They have been declared "winner" at the Olympian Gala for the best outfit, where they went far & beyond for the "A Night at the Opera" theme a few years ago- complete with a diamond studded Venetian style mask.

They don't like bringing attention to their romantic relationships. He feels conflicted about an intense & instant experience he had with a naiad nymph named Salmacis. Despite both of them agreeing to keep their distance, they always seem to find their way back together. They somewhat keep in touch through Fatestagram and O-mail.

Ditus' favorite meals include yakitori (drizzled in tzatziki & tare sauces), unadon, and kamo nandan.

In their free time, they do like it when things are chilled- when they work on their sculptures, swimming, listen to music, do pottery, painting (mainly portraits & abstract art), experimenting with make-up (is a huge fan of the La Petit Amour shimmering lip glass in Kissable Kiwi), cloud surfing, reading, & writing. Ditus also doesn't mind turning up & going out, visiting the hottest nightclubs like The Void, Dove, Neon Palace, and Sunspot.

Part 1: e komo mai

Have you ever thought about packing a few favorite things, flying off to a tropical paradise, and leaving everything and everyone behind? I have and I did.

Two years ago, this feeling was particularly strong and plaguing as I sat in a crowded bar on Cinco de Mayo, sipping my fourth (or so) tequila/tonic. The weather in May in Boston can be nice, but tonight, it was not.

Tonight it was cold and rainy outside, but inside, the bar was unbearably hot and clammy. I finished my drink and made my way outside for the sweet relief of cold air. And to have a quick smoke. As I lit my cigarette, my restless mind couldn’t help but wonder just how many I had lit a cigarette in that very same spot, with the same people waiting for me inside, on that very same fateful Cindo de Mayo holiday.

I looked around at the all-too-familiar setting, which left me not comforted, but unsettled. Incomplete.

I felt- and still feel- overwhelmingly, incredibly grateful for the family and friends I have, and for the memories we created together, some even right here at this bar. But this other feeling I’ve had, the one that had been getting more and more intense and impossible to resist lately, had overpowered my feelings of gratitude for my current life. 

I felt...done.

Not angry or sad or resentful. I wasn’t depressed or scared or bored. Nothing was particularly wrong. I was just done. And ready. Ready to take a leap of faith, head first, into something new. I took another drag of my cigarette and the thought crossed my mind not that I need to quit smoking, but I really need to be smoking somewhere new. Somewhere nice. Where it’s not miserably cold outside or unbearably hot and clammy inside. Somewhere a little more free.

As I went to return back inside the bar, my phone rang. I was surprised to see the number pop up on my screen. It was late, after all for a professional call- well past midnight. I answered the call, but before I could even hear words spoken from the other line, I felt weak in the knees, a knot in my stomach. I felt something other than done. I knew, deep in my soul, that somewhere, on the other side of the world, a new life was waiting for me.

This year, incredibly, marks my third in Hawaii. I’ve learned so much along the way thus far, but I know the journey is just beginning.

So here is a little story. A story of travel. Of identity. A story of adventure. Of reflection. It’s a story about losing and finding yourself. It’s about missing, regretting, appreciating, holding onto the past. And of course, this is a story about diving head first into a new life.

Good Samaritan charged for saving boy from burning truck

When a woman spotted a little boy in a burning pickup truck at Snoqualmie Pass, Washington, she acted quickly to help save him from flames shooting out of the vehicle. Her actions ultimately helped save the boy’s life on Sunday, but Good Samaritan Tequila Isaacson may now face burglary charges for shattering a store window to access a fire extinguisher in the desperate frenzy to save the child. “I’m in absolute shock,” Isaacson, 34, told KOMO News. Personality- She's loud, bold, & fabulous! She doesn't care about who thinks otherwise. She takes pleasure in the overabundance and overconsumption of life's offerings. She's dating casually.

She has the standard abilities of a goddess- except for shapeshifting. As the goddess of gluttony, her powers/abilities include having an enhanced bite (can bite through extra durable materials- like metal), gluttony inducement (can induce hunger and extremes of gluttony like the overconsumption of food, drink, & other vices), and having an infinite digestive system (the most enhanced one out of all the gods in the pantheon).

Adephagia lives in a mansion in the Chant du Cygne neighborhood of New Olympus. Inside the color scheme is hot pink, fuchsia, silver, gold, red, and purple. Most of the flooring is wall to wall baby blue mink carpeting. There's also an indoor hot tub & jacuzzi. Instead of a chandelier, there's neon light fixtures. She has three st bernard dogs as pets. They're all girls & their names are Bubbles, Dimples, and Munchkin!

She has a "goodie" closet, seperate from her regular closet. It contains a lot of her favorite snacks like bon bons, salted caramel & dark chocolate covered pretzels, various gourmet popcorn, candy bars, gummy bears, fruit punch flavored licorice twists, & red velvet-white chocolate chip cookies. Adephagia frequents Hollyhock's Bakery, Cocoa Delights, and Confetti Candy Co.

Her go-to drinks include wine (red and white), vodka, champagne, margaritas, cosmopolitans, tequila, and her personal favorite- an olympian sized hot buttered rum milkshake (with extra whipped cream & caramel sauce).

In the pantheon Adephagia is friends with Ganymede (god of homosexual love & desire), Mania (goddess of insanity), Aphrodite (goddess of love & beauty), Pannychis (goddess of nightlife festivities), Komos (god of revelry), Gelos (god of laughter), Apate (goddess of fraud & deception), Momus (god of mockery, satire, & ridicule), Pheme (goddess of fame), and Dionysus (god of wine). She's also cool with some of the "thick madames" of the pantheon like Iris (goddess of the rainbow), Hestia (goddess of the hearth), Clio (muse of history), Méli (goddess of bees & honey), Pandaisia (goddess of banquets), Methe (goddess of drunkenness), Thalia (grace of festivities), Terpischore (muse of dance), and Aglaia (grace of beauty & splendor). Her mentor was Charis (goddess of charm). Adephagia also admires Orthosia (goddess of wealth).

She has an extensive collection of Diamond Ave. clutches- especially the food themed ones! Her latest addition is the jeweled hot dog clutch- costing 4,500 drachmas!

Adephagia is one of the few minor deities to have a temple.

Her favorite thing to eat in the morning is the Olympian breakfast platter. It includes several pieces of buttered garlic toast, a bowl of rizogalo (rice pudding), scrambled eggs (added with peppers, black olives, & onions), hash browns, biscuits (spread with apricot preserves & grape jelly), maple sugar bacon, and spicy sausage links drowned in tzatziki sauce & sausage gravy. On a laid back morning, she'll eat a large bowl of Golden Kreme Crunch cereal.

Adephagia is successful in her own right! Aside from hosting the annual gyro eating contest (which takes place during the Summer Solstice holiday), she also has a fashion & lifestyle magazine called BBF (Big, Bold, Fabulous)! She also has a fashion brand specifically catered to plus size women called FATshionista (which includes clothes, shoes, & accessories) and a modeling agency (which specifically scouts for plus size models)! Currently, she's also planning on opening up a wellness center for people suffering from bulimia. Adephagia also has a few buffet style restaurants called Poté Tróei. There's at least four locations in a few New Olympus neighborhoods- with a new one planning to open in the state of Florina. One of the specialties include a 54 inch pizza called "The Titan Sicilian." This particular order requires a 24 hour notice. It costs 300 drachmas with each different topping costing 20 drachmas each! Another specialty is the Mt. Olympus burger- a mountain of tomatoes, onions, lettuce, cheese slices, enormous thick hamburger patties, tzatziki sauce, & hickory smoked barbeque sauce totaling to 28 inches in diameter, 11 1/2 inches in height, and weighing 105 lbs! This culinary beast costs 450 drachmas and if 10 people together can finish it in under an hour, they'll receive a 5,000 drachma prize!

For other work she also models for Hot Intoxication, Maison du Drame, Graces Glam, Swimsilk, Heavenly Spark, La Petit Amour, and No.3 & Co. She also writes for the magazines Glamgerous, The Rainbow Room, & Kythereia.

Adephagia loves deep frying cloud cakes, dusting them off with powdered sugar!

She was declared the best dressed at the Olympian Gala- when they did a campy theme. Adephagia arrived wearing a custom Maison du Drame outfit- a shimmery light pink silk organza shirt with oversized bow shaped sleeves with a 5 foot long train, matching pants, thigh high white platform boots- complete with a cake sliced shaped Diamond Ave. clutch. Her hair was in a stylized bouffant (with many rhinestones & dessert themed hair clips). Her accessories included jeweled bubblegum shaped earrings and super long neon pink feather eyelash extensions.

As for her love life, Adephagia is going with the flow and not putting any pressure on herself. She "dipped her toes in the lady pond" for a minute when she made out with Pannychis one time. She also kinda hooked up with Hermes (he went down on her) & Adephagia has made out with Zelus (god of envy, jealousy, & zeal) a few times. She's seeing a giant named Androcles whom she met on a dating app. He's so her type- tall, dark chocolate, & handsome! She also has crushes on Priapus (god of fertility, vegetable gardens, livestock, sexuality, & masculinity), Záchari (god of confectionery), Aplistos (god of avarice), and Pseudologos (god of lies).

Her all time favorite dessert are the chocolate glazed donuts from Hollyhock's Bakery- with her usually getting two boxes. At home, she dips them into a vanilla milkshake. She'll usually leave some for her dogs!

She's always getting shopping catalogs & coupons in the mail.

Some of her favorite meals include steak (cooked well done), spaghetti & meatballs, lasagna, moussaka, sicilian pizza (topped with chicken, red peppers, sausage, and pepperoni), fasolada, & the ultimate family meal from Olympic Chef (that comes with mashed potatoes with gravy, a 12 piece bucket of extra crispy fried chicken, six biscuits, two mini honey cakes, & two olympian sized fries).

In her free time, Adephagia loves shopping, going to the beach, karaoke, listening to music, clubbing, going to the spa, yoga, spin class, cooking, and baking.
