I'm going to stick to critters in game for the sake of my sanity.

Guide - Bunny. Bunnies are kinda the mascot of Terraria like the guide.

Merchant - dog. He gives me crocker spaniel vibes.

Nurse - Yellow Cockatiel!

Demolitionist - RAT. He lives underground and he's small, RAT MAN.

Dye Trader - Blue Macaw. Colorful....

Angler - Goldfish. Also self explanatory. (Kinda fucked that he's fishing other fish, what the hell man.... /j)

Dryad - Fairy (Fairies are critters in game) or a normal bird.

Painter - Scarlet Macaw. Also colorful...

Golfer - I think also a fox, since I think he's one when dunked in shimmer?????

Arms Dealer - SCORPION!!!! HE'D LOOK SO COOL AS ONE!!!

Tavernkeeper - Wolf. Big wolf man.

Stylist - SPIDER!!!!!

Goblin Tinkerer - Buggy. Smol.

The witch doctor is already a lizard guy. Can't do much.

Clothier - Owl. Wise old bastards.

Mechanic - Red Squirrel

Party Girl - This one's kinda hard, but lightning bug!

My main idea here is that after the Moon Lord's attack, civilization was generally crumbled and reduced to tribes, cults, and barbarian gangs. The heroes want to fix that!
