January 29th uh. hmm. journaling is hard. okay no, journaling in itself is easy when I just sit down and, uh, type. remembering to sit down and type is hard. which is kind of the point of starting the journal in the first place, cause I have terrible memory. so not remembering to remember is a vicious cycle where nothing gets done as I munch on snacks and read manga for a couple weeks. I do want to do some writing but not just for stories, but also general communication and being able to articulate my thoughts better. I also want to get fit (working on it), get better at drums (working on it), actually learn Japanese (stalled progress) and maybe have a social life at some point (no idea where to start) somehow, despite the fact that I don't actually care about money, I'm spending the vast majority of my time (over 120 hours since last update) working for money, so it feels bad that I'm spending so much time away from what I want to do, and to compound those feelings, when I DO have the time during the weekends, I've just been mostly resting or lazing around. I have started leaving my alarm set to 6am over weekends to hopefully claw back that free time, but that hasn't really worked cause I just sleep through it, so, it's not really time but energy that I'm lacking most, or maybe motivation. something. I'm lacking something that other people have. anyway, journaling. every couple weeks is a bit much, it just becomes a huge info dump. need to remember to actually write this more often. every couple days is a much better idea.
