I was watching the sea devils with a friend a bit ago and we got to the part where the master requests another tv in his prison cell and like yeah, it shows off that the master has a lot of control of his situation if he can get amenities like that in a prison cell
but then we thought about it a little more and realized
this episode aired in the early 70s, for viewers back then, the fact he requested a second tv for his cell, let alone a color tv, which was still pretty new for britain, must have been as the most smug thing possible
