So besides Leo, Shredder is closest to Mikey!

Like I’ve said in previous asks, Mikey was the first one to realize he’s not dangerous anymore, and actually went seeking out Shredder behind everyone’s back

When Shredder does move in with them, Mikey is the one who makes him his own space in the lair. He has a nice dog bed (that may or may not be two large dog begs sewed together) and giant scratching post wall (WALL they had to add a fake wall he could tear up) right by Leo’s room. He also has an assortment of dog and cat toys, and a giant heat lamp Mikey had Donnie make since he’s literally cold hard metal. A couple thousand blankets and pillows later and Mikey has Shreddy living like a celebrity’s spoiled pet!

Mikey is the most experimental with Shredder, and finds out that Shredder can 1. Be ridden like a horse 2. Has limited stamina like a real animal 3. Still retained some of his original power but to a lesser degree 4. Is still ticklish in the same spots 5. Can’t find his way out of a plastic bag

Shredder doesn’t need to eat but likes to, so Mikey likes to feed him his test recipes whenever he can (not because Shredder is a good judge of taste but because the rejects gotta go somewhere). This is also how they find out Shredder can’t get sick when Mikey accidentally knocked everyone out with food poisoning and Shredder was still kickin’ it

Shredder is covered in stickers thanks to Mikey, even customized ones!

Mikey also makes him a collar! It doesn’t have an ID tag because 1. He wouldn’t need it and 2. The dangling against his metal skin would drive everyone crazy. But it’s very loose and made out of leather, and he doesn’t wear it that often. It says Mad Dogz Guard Dog on it tho

Post-movie, Mikey takes Shreddy with him to mystic training with Draxum (I believe in Mikey training to be a mystic warrior thank u). Draxum doesn’t like it but Mikey thinks it’s cool and claims “it’s like in club penguin when you take the red puffle surfing!” Draxum doesn’t know what he means but he lets him do whatever

It doesn’t happen very often but Mikey does leave a special space by his hammock for if Shredder wants to sleep in his room. It’s within reaching distance so Mikey can keep his hand on him all night
